RAVENSTHORPE NICKEL PROJECT - TAILINGS STORAGE FACILITY
50 km north of, Hopetoun, WA 6348 Has Ravensthorpe Nickel Project - Tailings Storage Facility currently at Construction stage. Development will comprise a Tailings Storage Facility (TSF) to store a maximum of 87.81 Mt over a 25 year life. It is proposed that 3.51 Mtpa will be stored in the TSF. The TSF will comprise 3 cells of 180-190 Hectares each. The TSF will be using thickened tailings. This will reduce seepage induced groundwater impacts. This will be achieved by limiting the formation of a water pond on the tailings surface by thickening the tailings slurry prior to discharge, maximising evaporation from TSF and maximising transfer of liquid from the TSF to the evaporation pond. The evaporation ponds will be a maximum height of 2.9 metres and store annually 1.58 Mtpa. A permanent spillway will also be constructed. Click for more details...

NELSON POINT - IRON
Mining - Infrastructure (Conveyors, Stackers, Reclaimers, Materials handling) project at Site facilities via, Port Hedland, WA 6721 for New. The project envisaged to expand the capacity of Nelson Point facilities from approximately 54mt of iron ore per year to approximately 64mt, needed to meet the increasing demand for handling and shipping of iron ore from Newman's Yandi mine and from the DRI/HBI plant. The expansion of facilities will include installation of a third ore dumper to take ore from iron ore trains and speed up the unloading process. Also, the Number 2 crushing and screening plant is to be upgraded at the railhead with new conveyors and related infrastructure. A new marshalling yard incorporating a continuous loop train assembly (to avoid bottlenecking) will be built on the southern side of the existing facility, while new passing loops are to be built on the Jimblebar spur line and the main Newman rail line. ENTERPRISE COPPER MINE
Private ownership Mining - Infrastructure (Drifts, ventilator shafts, portals, shotcreting, declines) project In The Mt Isa City Council Area for New development. A 710 m internal shaft from which the copper ore will be hoisted. The internal shaft sinking phase includes pre-project development and mullock removal from the exising Deep copper Mine. The internal shaft contract will include a raisebore, strip and line method, which involves drilling, stripping the shaft hole and concrete lining the 3.5 metre diameter shaft. The contract includes shaft development from 19B sub-level, which is the top of the internal shaft, to 31A sub-level, which is the bottom of the shaft. Skips at 30 level will hoist ore to 20 level, from where it will be transported to the surface using the existing shaft hoisting system. CRACOW GOLD PROJECT - RESOURCE
Operating Mine New project In The Banana Shire Council Area. Resource estimate is 3.6 Mt @ 10 gpt with reserves being 780,000 tonnes @ 12 gpt. Gold production for December Quarter 2006 was 29,000,000 tonnes @ 9.7 g/t for 8,400 ounces of Au. Development expenditure of $23 million for 2006/2007 includes a decline access to the sovereign shoot and towards the Empire and Sterling zones of mineralisation; decline development of the lower portion of Crown shoot and the lifting of the tailings storage facility. The recently discovered Kilkenny structure is located on the western side of this zone. Recent exploration at Cracow has been focused on drilling of Kilkenny, in addition to drilling on the Sovereign, Roses Pride and Empire shoots. Drilling of the Kilkenny structure defined two steeply plunging shoots of epithermal gold mineralisation. Gold is hosted within a lode structure similar to the Crown and Sovereign shoots. At June 2008, Newcrest calculated an Inferred Resource for Kilkenny (based on a cut off grade of 2.3 g/t gold) of 0.9 Mt at 7.1 g/t for 200,000 ounces. Click for more details...

POONCARIE MINERAL SANDS - GINKGO

ABBOT POINT COAL TERMINAL EXPANSION STAGE 3
Mining - Infrastructure (Conveyors, Stackers, Reclaimers, Materials handling) project at Abbot Point 25 km north west of, Bowen, QLD 4805 of Coal Terminal Expansion - Stage 3 type of New development. Expansion of terminal capacity from 15 mtpa to 50 mtpa. IRON ORE RAPID GROWTH 4 PROJECT - TRAIN LOAD OUT
Iron Ore Rapid Growth 4 Project - Train Load Out is currently at the Planning stage, valued at about $ 100000000 it is The new TLO facility will match the existing train load-out plant for through train capacity at 58Mtpa. The new TLO will comprise a new section of rail passing through a single tunnel that has two loading vaults. Each vault is located under a discrete stockpile, each with a minimum 25,000 live capacity. These stockpiles will be product specific, one for lump and one for fines, to eliminate product cross-contamination. Each stockpile will be built and maintained by a fixed stacker conveyor, fed from the diverter transfer station at the head of the stockyard reclaim conveyor (the transfer station and stacker conveyors are part of work pack 4N0). The conveyors will discharge from fixed cantilever booms. Dust suppression sprays will be mounted at the head of each conveyor discharge. The spray system will be complete with break tank and pumps for the high pressure for the spray canon. The TLO will have dedicated dust extraction/collection and ventilation systems for each of the vaults. Each of the dust systems will comprise dust hoods, ducting, wet scrubbers, extraction fans, seal tank, circulation pumps, sump tanks, pumps and associated pipe work. The complete tunnel with the vaults will have a vault ventilation system complete with fans, ducting, discharge registers and intake silencers. The stockpiles and stacker conveyors will have dust suppression sprays. Process water will be supplied for dust suppression and dust extraction scrubbers. CAVAL RIDGE COAL PROJECT - COAL PREPARATION PLANT & RAIL FACILITIES

The proposed Caval Ridge CHPP will have a nominal feed capacity of 2 000 t/h and is capable of processing 14-16 Mt/a to produce a nominal 8 Mt/a of hard coking coal, 5.5 Mt/a of which will be sourced from the Caval Ridge Mine & the balance to come by conveyor from the expanded Peak Downs mine. The facility shall operate seven days per week on a continuous basis. The CHPP will consist of: ROM dump hopper for primary sizing; secondary and tertiary sizers with intermediate screening; raw coal stockpiles with mechanised stacking and reclaim facilities; 2 module coal preparation plant, nominally 1000 tph, per module; product coal stockpiles with mechanised stacking and reclaim facilities; train loadout to the north of the Peak Downs Highway, a conveyor will transport material crossing the highway; reject bin and handling system and ultrafine tailings dewatering system. Water supply to be a combination of site water reuse & a raw water supply via a new off take pipeline from existing bulk pipelines. Process plant water will be recycled to minimise raw water make-up requirements for the site.
