Details
  • Improvement works on Argyle St between Lower Fort St & Kent St.
  • Stage 1 - all works within the sandstone palisade fence at the Harry Jensen & Abraham Mott building, including building works & playground upgrade; transition works including kerb ramp, Watson Rd.
  • Stage 2: footpath regrading on Argyle St South from Kent St to Watson Rd including works within the road reserve at Watson Rd & the former tram turning circle.
  • Scope of works in Stage 1 include & are not limited to: installation of a new Ausgrid wooden pole at the corner of Kent Street for a floodlight outreach arm; commence conduit works for new City of Sydney Street lights across the turning circle in road reserve; adjustment of existing utility services with coordination of Public Utility Authorities; adjustment of Telstra phone booth in coordination with Telstra; demolition of the brick bin store at Abraham Mott building; removal of existing playground equipment, regrade the land & install new play equipment and play areas; regrade the entrance to Harry Jensen and Abraham Mott with new set of stairs; new levels outside the Harry Jensen building; relocate the doctor?s surgery door and make good the internal works; construct a new accessible ramp from Watson Rd; regrade the footpath from Watson Road to the pedestrian crossing at Garrison Church; demolish the brick shelter in Watson Road Reserve and make good the area; install benches; lift, relay, replace & install kerbs; re sheet with A/C the footpath from the pedestrian crossing to Argyle Cut; relocate the power for the Harry Jensen/Abraham Mott building; installation of a new MSB's which will contain separate control panels for streetlights and for the power to the buildings; tree removal, planting & landscaping; stormwater preparation & reinstate water harvesting and in ground sprinklers.
  • Scope of work in Stage 2 includes, but are not limited to: regrade of Argyle St from Kent St to Watson Rd; regrade of Watson Road and installation of Shared Zone with Porphyry cobbled sets; installation of speed hump ahead of the shared zone; install new kerbs & footpath; construct a new park area; landscaping; relocation of a heritage tram shelter; installation of street furniture and bespoke furniture & installation of street lighting from Kent Stto Watson Rd & park lighting
