Construction of a new bridge downstream from the existing bridge, construction of a reinforced concrete box culvert to replace the existing smaller bridge over Collie River floodway & realigning a 1.7km section of the existing road to improve geometry and tie in with the new bridge.
- The new bridge will be 224 metres long, 14.4 metres wide, six span steel & concrete composite & will include a pedestrian walkway & two possum rope structures.
- There will also be an extension of the roads underneath the bridge & construction of a fauna & recreational path under the bridge.
