Construction to consist of alterations & additions to existing Natural Science Building & adjoining courtyard only.
- Proposed works include (but not exclusively to), construction of predominantly structural steel & glass addition to existing southern facade, demolition of concrete slab to connect ground & basement with new staircase, internal structural steel framework, civil works, decommissioning & demolition, relocation of compactus units & storage cupboards & office fitout to ground floor.
- Engineering services include data/communications, power, modifications to lighting, security, fire protection, hydraulics & mechanical.

Natural Science Building accommodates Museum's Division of Natural Science.
- Building contains collections of immence scientific importance & cultural significance.
- Work will be contained to basement & ground floor areas of building.
- Building will remain occupied by staff of SA Museum during contract period & safety of staff & collections is of utmost importance.
