Work involves rectifying the ongoing problem of feedwater flow being inadequate at high unit loads.
- This will involve upgrading the steam driven boiler feed pump to increase its flow capacity.
- The purpose of this specification is to outline the general requirements for this upgrade, determining the extent of supply to ensure the requirements of clause 1.11 and the completed pump must be restored to a condition that will provide 15 years service.
- One pump is intially the target but there is an option to overhaul a further two pumps.
