For a 1-5 barrels per day Gas to Liquids demonstration plant.

The utilisation of underground coal gasification (UCG) in a pilot gas to liquids (GTL) plant at MDL 309 will be a significant step forward towards building a full commercial GTL plant at a later stage.
- Linc Energy intends to build a 1-5 bpd GTL demonstration plant which will use the UCG Syngas as feedstock.
- The UCG process can be used to turn stranded coal resources into energy by gasifying the coal "in situ" underground.
- The resulting gas, called Syngas, can be used as feedstock for a GTL processing plant and Gas Turbine Generator to generate electricity.
