Section 1 - Stage 1 involves extending and realigning Glendale Dr, as well as extending Stockland Dr in Glendale; the extension of Stockland Dr provides for a new access to Hunter Sports Centre and Stockland Shopping Centre Glendale, relieving traffic congestion. Section 2 - Stage 1 involves extending Pennant St in Cardiff over the Main Northern Railway Line (known as the Pennant St Bridge) to the newly provided intersection of Glendale & Stockland Dves, Glendale. These roads will create a direct link between Glendale & Cardiff. The works also include relocation of one 66KV and one 11KV power lines, located within the rail corridor. Glendale Dr & Stockland Dr extensions consist of 2 carriageways, each consisting of two 3.5 metre wide travel lanes joined by kerb & gutter, with a 3.0m wide shared path on one side. The pavements generally consist of a heavy bound subbase overlain by asphalt intermediate and wearing courses. The proposed Winding Creek bridge consists of a single span over Winding Creek; the deck has a total length of 23.6 m; the bridge is to be built at the crest of a vertical curve and on a straight horizontal alignment; the bridge consists of ten 1200 mm deep precast pre-stressed concrete (PSC) Super-T girders Click for more details...
