Upgrades to existing interchanges including provision of additional ramps & widening and/or lengthening of existing ramps. Construction of a new westbound G-type entry ramp to the M4 Motorway at Homebush Bay Dr. Provision for new connections at: Hill Rd - an eastbound entry ramp; Church St - westbound entry for southbound traffic on Church St ; Westmead - eastbound exit ramp. Provision of road infrastructure & services to support the future implementation of the managed motorway including Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS) infrastructure & widening/lengthening of existing ramps. Installation of tolling infrastructure such as gantries & control systems. Section One: Pitt St overpass to Wentworth St: the current motorway provides 3 lanes each for the eastbound & westbound carriageways; new viaduct is proposed to be located to the south of the existing viaduct between Church & Wentworth Sts, Granville; the existing viaduct would be reconfigured to provide 4 lanes eastbound & 2 lanes westbound while the new viaduct would provide 2 additional westbound lanes; managed motorway and tolling Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS) infrastructure would be installed. Section Two: Wentworth St to Junction St, Auburn; the current ground level carriageway provides 3 east & westbound lanes; these would be widened with 2 additional lanes, to provide a total of 4 traffic lanes & a shoulder on each carriageway on completion of the widening; east & westbound lanes would be separated by a barrier; managed motorway & tolling ITS infrastructure would be installed; construction of a new bridge over Duck River to the south of the existing viaduct for 2anes of westbound traffic. Section Three: Junction St, Auburn to Homebush Bay Drive; the current ground level carriageway continues in this section & would also be widened with 2 additional lanes to provide a total of 4 traffic lanes & a shoulder for each carriageway on completion of the widening; managed motorway and tolling ITS infrastructure would be installed; construction of a new, dedicated westbound G-turn on-load ramp for southbound traffic on Homebush Bay Drive; provision would be made for a new eastbound on-load ramp from Hill Rd; the widening would transition from 4 lanes eastbound & westbound to 2 lanes eastbound & westbound in the vicinity of the Homebush Bay Dr overbridge.
