The restaurant is approximately 1,100sq m. A 3,900sq m food court is proposed which will occupy level 2, with 9 kiosks ranging between 30sq m & 40sq m. A series of landscaped platforms will rise from the northern edge of Main Park up to the level 2 food court. The platforms will be of concrete construction finished with timber decking & granite with voids lined with safety balustrades. A scenic lift will be installed within the platforms. ESD features include naturally & mechanically ventilated building, double glazing, blackwater treatment plant, green walls, tri-generation plant, chilled water reticulation. NORTHERN SYDNEY FREIGHT CORRIDOR - GOSFORD PASSING LOOPS
Civil Engineering (Civil works, Excavation, Quarries, Foundations, Demolition, Dredging, Earthworks) project In The Gosford Council Area of State ownership. Design, construction & commissioning of 2 new tracks for the passing loops (and associated overhead wiring, civil & structural works) between Gosford & Narara stations. The total new track length would be approximately 4 km (approximately 2 km for both the Up & Down Refuges). The new tracks would be constructed on the outside of the existing rail tracks & would generally be accommodated within the existing rail corridor boundary (with the exception of a short section of track between chainages 82.40 km & 82.70 km, which would require the eastern corridor boundary to be widened by up to approximately 3 metres to facilitate the construction of the track & other railway infrastructure. Three new pairs of bridges (six bridges in total) over Bradys Gully, Wingello Creek & Wyoming Creek to accommodate the new tracks. The new bridges would be located adjacent to the existing rail bridges. One new crossover (the connection between 2 tracks allowing trains to cross tracks) on the Up Main (adjacent to Brooks Avenue, Wyoming, between chainages 83.50 km & 83.80 km) & a new turnout (special trackwork that allows trains to pass from one track on a diverging path) on the Down Refuge (adjacent to Brooks Avenue, Wyoming, between chainages 83.60 km & 83.80 km). Maintenance access roads & gates. A combined services route (approximately 2 kilometres long) on the eastern side of the rail corridor between Gosford Station & the Etna Street overbridge (a road bridge that travels over the rail corridor), as well as on the western side of the rail corridor between the Etna Street overbridge & Narara Station. Three underline crossings (buried services route allowing services/utilities to cross beneath the rail tracks) & associated cable routes at proposal chainages 81.54 km, 81.97 km & 84.52 km. Refurbishment of an existing Up Refuge between Gosford Station & the Etna Street overbridge. Removal of 2 existing maintenance sidings (referred to as the Down Loco Sidings 1 & 2) adjacent to Gosford Showground. Removal of 2 existing crossovers & one turnout between Gosford Station & Gosford Showground. Refurbishment of one existing catchpoint adjacent to Gosford Showground. Modifications to the existing signalling system at various locations between Gosford Station & north of Narara Station (proposal chainages 81.00 km to 86.00 km).
