Roadworks/Pond project at Mulligans Flat Rd, Forde, ACT 2914 in the Civil Engineering (Landscaping, Fencing, Entry statements, Monuments, Fountains). Construction of the extension of Mulligans Flat Road to the NSW border & Bonner Water Quality Control Pond No 2 which is to provide retardation & water quality improvement to stormwater runoff & floor protection to the suburbs of Forde & Bonner. Scope of work includes: Mulligans Flat Road extension to NSW/ACT border (Bonner side carriageway) from the roundabout intersection with Jessie Street. The roundabout is to be constructed by LDA as part Bonner 1A development by October 2008; associated intersections including design options report in the initial conceptual design recommending an option for construction (controlled, uncontrolled or roundabout) at Old Gundaroo Road; the entry into Bonner 2; & ; the entry into Bonner 1B. Note: This intersection is required to be a 4 way intersection that also services the undeveloped part of Forde (Forde 2); 2 underpasses (including associated floodway works & all cycle path connections within the development of Bonner) suitable for pedestrian and cycle path networks between Forde & Bonner to access schools, shops, community services and future Main Community routes. The locations of the underpasses are approximately 180m south of the entry intersection into Bonner 2; both underpasses will require headroom for cyclists; Noise impacts & any remediation measures required within the road reserve to reduce noise at the residential interface to acceptable levels; traffic lights at the Horse Park Drive & Mulligans Flat Road intersection. Note: Conduits already in place; associated hydraulic & utility services including any services required to service the adjacent areas of Bonner and Forde. (Note: there is a trunk water supply main within the road reserve or on the Forde side of the road reserve); A water quality control pond with retardation facility; associated inlet & outlet works, including provision of a gross pollutant trap, if necessary; the creek & floodway system & any associated improvements; landscape component & vehicular & any other access requirements to the area surrounding the pond including any gross pollutant trap.
