ELLISTON COASTAL FACILTIES & TRAIL PROJECT
Social (Amenities, Dressing rooms) project In The Elliston Council Area of Local Govt ownership. On behalf of the District Council of Elliston, LGA Procurement invites tenders for the construction of a 14 kilometre coastal trail & related facilities at Elliston, on the remote West Coast of South Australias Eyre Peninsula. The works will include construction of compacted limestone pathways & parking areas. Importantly the Tenderer will be required to undertake work to enhance trail user safety & ensure that the project eliminates or deters ad hoc human impact on the coastal environment. Additionally the project will include the installation of shelters, some signage, picnic settings, seats & amenities as well as viewing platforms & terraces at a number of locations. Demolition, fencing, signage, retaining, paving & revegetation will also be required. The Tenderer will be required to undertake the work outside a 10 metre cliff face exclusion zone area & adhere to the relevant safety conditions. The terrain through which the pathway is to be built & facilities installed includes; areas of sensitive vegetation, steep & at times undercut cliffs, high wind risk, working in close proximity to roads, frequented by tourists & limited services in close proximity to the worksite. Scope of Works - The work includes the provision of all materials, plant, & labour of whatever kind necessary for the complete & property undertaking of the works described. Where works are continuous with adjacent existing works, the Tenderer is responsible for making the proper junction between the two sections & for making good any damages caused by the adjacent works.
