QUEEN ELIZABETH II MEDICAL CENTRE - MULTI-DECK CARPARK

The successful contractor would build & finance the multi-storey car parks & have a long-term contract to operate all of the parking on the QEII Medical Centre site. At the end of the operation contract, the car parks will be transferred to QEII Medical Centre Trust ownership. The method of delivery of the Project is known as build, own, operate & transfer arrangement (BOOT) & will be a public-private partnership. The new car park will bea multi-deck car parking facility developed over 2 areas on the eastern side of the site (overlapping the existing car park 1 & the existing central plant building). The new car park will be centrally located north of the proposed New Children's Hospital & close to the main entrance of the Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital. It will contain approx 3,550 new bays. It is estimated that approx 1,150 at-grade car parks across the site will remain available once all Master Plan projects have been completed including approx 150 undercroft bays that will be constructed as part of the New Cancer Centre.
