BHP BILLITON TOWER/CITY SQUARE (FORMERLY WESTRALIA SQUARE)
Retail (Car parks (multi-storey)) project at 125-137 (Lot 13 formerly lots 11 12 & 13) St George's Tce, Perth, WA 6000 for New. 46-level office tower will be constructed at the centre of the site. The proposed office tower is formed by a low level 'infrastructure zone' (a five podium element) with 39 floors of offices above. The 'infrastructure zone' has been designed to meet the specifications of the towers main tenant BHP. These levels contain the BHP lobby and asset display zones at first floor level, meeting and communication hubs, staff amenity areas, cafe and outdoor rooftop gardens. The 'infrastructure zone' has been scaled to assist in creating a human scaled street along the south side of the St Georges Tce heritage buildings. The entire ground level of the tower is accessible to the public during business hours, containing public lobbies and retail space. The narrow east west elevations of the tower are defined by a diagonal steel bracing system which 'locks' the tower into the site at ground level and terminates the tower at its apex containing illuminated signage. A spire is attached to the steel frame. The BHP office levels will have additional internal stairs to enable a greater level of communication and interaction. Four low-rise podium buildings of 2 and 3 storeys, will be located to the west and south of the office tower. The buildings will be used for retail, commercial, dining and entertainment purposes and will include a food court, childcare facility at the pedestrian plaza level and a gymnasium at the upper level of the podium buildings. QUEEN ELIZABETH II MEDICAL CENTRE - MULTI-DECK CARPARK
Retail (Car parks (multi-storey)) project In The Nedlands Council Area of J/V - Private & Govt ownership. The successful contractor would build & finance the multi-storey car parks & have a long-term contract to operate all of the parking on the QEII Medical Centre site. At the end of the operation contract, the car parks will be transferred to QEII Medical Centre Trust ownership. The method of delivery of the Project is known as build, own, operate & transfer arrangement (BOOT) & will be a public-private partnership. The new car park will bea multi-deck car parking facility developed over 2 areas on the eastern side of the site (overlapping the existing car park 1 & the existing central plant building). The new car park will be centrally located north of the proposed New Children's Hospital & close to the main entrance of the Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital. It will contain approx 3,550 new bays. It is estimated that approx 1,150 at-grade car parks across the site will remain available once all Master Plan projects have been completed including approx 150 undercroft bays that will be constructed as part of the New Cancer Centre.
