MOUNT WELD RARE EARTHS PROJECT - MINING CONTRACT
Mining - Primary And Secondary Processing (Crushing, Screening, Quarrying) project In The Laverton Council Area of Mining Contract - Opencut type. Work comprises the development of an initial pit 150 metres wide x 300 metres long x 65 metres deep, comprising 35 metres of overburden and 30 metres of ore zone. The total mining quantity of ore and waste is 2,890,800 BCM. Of this, 541,256 tonnes of high grade ore (318,230 BCM) is scheduled to be crushed and stockpiled at the site. Optional work that can be included in the contract include the construction of 8.8 km of haul roads to the site. PARDOO IRON ORE PROJECT
Pardoo Iron Ore Project is currently at the Construction stage, valued at about $ 8300000 it is The project is based on an identified iron ore (hematite) resource of approximately 7.4Mt. The project proposes an ore production rate of 1.5 Mtpa, resulting in a mining life of 5 - 6 years. The project involves the open cut mining of eight small pits in five deposits to obtain direct-shipping quality iron ore. The ore will be crushed, screened and stockpiled on site prior to being loaded into rail trains for road haulage to the appropriate berth at Port Hedland. Ore will be stockpiled at the port until it is loaded onto ships for export to overseas customers. The major components of the Pardoo DSO Project are: minesite establishment, mining operations, product transport and export and decommissioning and closure. The minesite access road and temporary construction yard and administration area will be the first infrastructure constructed. The mining operations centre (MOC) will be located in the northern portion of the minesite and contains the following infrastructure: administration area including Atlas facilities, mining contractor's facilities, crushing and screening contractor's facilities, haulage contractors facilities, sewerage treatment and waste water storage, potable water storage, common parking area. The MOC will also contain a fuel storage and refuelling area, power station (diesel), crushing and screening plant, ROM ore pad and product stockpiling area, parking areas and portions of the access road and haul road, and combined contractor's laydown area. Haul roads will be constructed between the pits, waste rock dumps, stockpiles and ROM pad stockpile. Minor access roads will provide access to waste rock dumps and inspection points, dewatering equipment, water management structures, environmental discharge locations and other minesite management areas. The proposed mining operation will be a multiple, open pit mining operation, using conventional drill and blast and load and haul methods. Ore from the pits will be hauled directly to the ROM pad or temporarily stockpiled adjacent to the pits. The crushing and screening plant will provide primary and secondary crushing and screening. WORSLEY ALUMINA EXPANSION EFFICIENCY & GROWTH PROJECT
Mining - Primary And Secondary Processing (Crushing, Screening, Quarrying) project In The Collie Council Area of Mine Expansion/Refinery - Upgrade type. Development comprises two parts. Expansion of the existing bauxite mining activities and an upgrade of the refinery. Mining will expand into the Saddleback, Marradong, Hotham North, East Quindanning, Morgans, Hotham North Extension, Central and Brookton mining envelopes. Throughput will expand to 16.5 Mtpa. The expansion of mining activities will involve the addition of three new primary crushers and a new crushed ore stockpile will be needed next to the existing secondary crusher to provide extra surge material to feed the overland bauxite conveyor. Additional conveyors include a 34 km extension from the Hotham North mining envelope which will cross both the Albany Highway and the Wandering-North Bannister road, a 16 Km spur from the south east of the Central mining envelope to the Luptons mining envelope and lastly a 28 Km extension from the Central mining envelope to the Brookton mining envelope. Additional bauxite conveyors spurs and haul truck transport may be needed in the future. Refinery expansion will involve an increase in the Bauxite stockpile of 0.5 Mt. At the Milling and Digestion plant an additional mill, an additional desilication tank and eight new slurry heaters will be required. At the Seperation plant, an extension of the residue washing tanks and an expansion of capacity of the causticiser circuit. At the Calcination plant an additional gas fired calciner with bag house with a new hydrate filtration building. Addition of a coal-fired co-generation facility with bag house designed to produce 350 tonnes of steam per hour (equivalent to 204 Mw) and 35 Mw of electrical power. Click for more details...

The first building consists of five scalping screen bays that are fed by a continuously traveling shuttle head conveyor. The second building consists of seven product screen bays that are fed by a continuously traveling tripper.
