HILLGROVE GOLD/ANTIMONY OPERATIONS - BRACKINS SPUR
Resource - Gold/Antimony project at Hillgrove, north east of, Armidale, NSW 2350 in the Mining - Infrastructure (Drifts, ventilator shafts, portals, shotcreting, declines). Mine output has increased by 30% over the previous quarter. This increase was principally from the Metz operation. Brackins Spur will provide an additional ore source during the September 2001 quarter. The output of this mine will be significantly lower in antimony than the ore currently mined, but will contain a higher gold grade.

CHARTERS TOWERS GOLD OPERATIONS - VENTILATION SHAFT

An initial Probale Ore Reserve resource estimate of 376,000 tonnes @ 2.6% for 9,790 tonnes of nickel. ENTERPRISE COPPER MINE
Private ownership Mining - Infrastructure (Drifts, ventilator shafts, portals, shotcreting, declines) project In The Mt Isa City Council Area for New development. A 710 m internal shaft from which the copper ore will be hoisted. The internal shaft sinking phase includes pre-project development and mullock removal from the exising Deep copper Mine. The internal shaft contract will include a raisebore, strip and line method, which involves drilling, stripping the shaft hole and concrete lining the 3.5 metre diameter shaft. The contract includes shaft development from 19B sub-level, which is the top of the internal shaft, to 31A sub-level, which is the bottom of the shaft. Skips at 30 level will hoist ore to 20 level, from where it will be transported to the surface using the existing shaft hoisting system. Once on the surface, the ore will undergo concentrating and smelting at the operation's smelting complex.

COYOTE UNDERGROUND DEVELOPMENT PROJECT - STAGE 1 - GOLD RESOURCE

PROSPERO/TALPINOS PROJECT - NICKEL RESOURCE
A project in the WA Within Leonora. Total Resource estimate is 1,330,000 tonnes @ 5.95% for 79,200 Ni. This comprises measured resources of 416,000 tonnes @ 6.39% for 26,600 tonnes of Ni, Indicated resources of 470,000 tonnes @ 6.42% for 30,200 tonnes of Ni and Inferred resources of 445,000 tonnes @ 5.03% for 22,400 tonnes of Ni. Talpinos has a resource estimate of 142,000 tonnes @ 7.4% for 10,500 Ni. Feasibility study on the development of the deposit includes geotechnical drilling, hydrogeological investigations, infill drilling to upgrade the resource estimate to a reserve. Mine development will include box cut excavation and associated waste dump, laydown area and decline development. A new haul road and service corridor linking the development to the exisiting Cosmo mine and concentrator will be constructed. A tailings storage facility, evaporation ponds, ventilation rises and secondary egress shafts will also be constructed.

CENTRAL NORSEMAN GOLD OPERATIONS - RESOURCE
Resource -Gold project at 30 Km North of, Norseman, WA 6443 In The Council Area Of Dundas of Private. Norseman gold operation comprises two underground mines, Harlequin, Bullen, various open pits and the Phoenix mill treatment plant. The Davyhurst gold operation has been sold to Monarch Resources. Mining is to continue at all operations and various infrastructure projects will be undertaken. At Harlequin the mine ventilation system and the surface workshop will be upgraded in preparation for long term mining at the Harlequin decline. The Phoenix mill treatment plant will undergo maintenance of the crusher, ball and SAG mill and the installation of new ore feeders. A new tailings storage facility designed to provide 10 years storage will be developed. A major upgrade to the power distribution network will be undertaken. Lastly the single person quarters at Norseman will be upgraded and refurbished.

ARGYLE DIAMOND OPERATIONS - UNDERGROUND INFRASTRUCTURE CONTRACT
110 Km South South West of, Kununurra, WA 6743 Has Argyle Diamond Operations - Underground Infrastructure Contract currently at Construction stage. Work comprises 30 kilometres of underground development work with all the associated infrastructure needed for a block cave mine. More specifically the contractor will construct two underground crusher chambers, undertake vertical development and do initial cave draw production. MCMAHON PROJECT - NICKEL RESOURCE
Resource - Nickel New project In The Coolgardie Council Area. The project contains a currently delineated Mineral Resource of 373 650 tonnes at a grade of 4.1% nickel, for 15 180 tonnes of contained nickel metal. Approximately half this Resource has been placed into the initial ore reserves. The remainder of the Mineral Resource requires further drilling, and this will be carried out from underground as development progresses. The development require the extension of the existing McMahon decline and associated ventilation system. This will provide access to the ore bodies and, importantly, will also open up additional areas for underground exploration. Mining will take place via mechanised slot stoping methods as well as traditional Kambalda-style airleg slot-and-rill stoping, with an expected production rate of approximately 10 000 tonnes of ore per month at full production.

ULAN COAL MINE CONTINUED OPERATIONS PROJECT - ULAN WEST UNDERGROUND

Extension of underground mining operations in a location west of the existing Ulan No 3 underground mine & north of the recently closed open cut pit. To operate for 21 years using the retreat longwall method with a panel width of up to 400m. Access to the Ulan West operations to be via a series of portals to be constructed within the vicinity of the existing open cut pit. New surface facilities to be constructed around the entrance to include ventilation, power & water management facilities & a small temporary coal stockpile. An initial box cut expected to be 150m long, up to 3m wide & 50m deep. A decline to be built out from the side of the pit to access deposits 60m approx below ground.

MOUNT COLIN COPPER GOLD OPERATIONS EXPANSION
Mining - Infrastructure (Drifts, ventilator shafts, portals, shotcreting, declines) project at North of Barkly Hwy 50km west of, Cloncurry, QLD 4824 for New. A project located on the Mount Roseby station & based on a resource estimate (indicated, inferred) of 1.9 million tonnes (Mt) containing 50,000t of copper & 26,000 ounces (oz) of gold. Expansion of 130,000tpa open cut operations to 350,000tpa including progressing to new underground workings for an additional 7 year life-of-mine (LoM). Expansion over 18 months of the existing pit using excavators & dump trucks with ore trucked to run-of-mine (ROM) stockpiles prior to trucking by double or triple road trains for off-site processing at the Great Australian Operations Cloncurry. Once the pit is expanded (440m along strike x 220m wide x 170m deep), underground operations (open & backfilled longhole stoping) to commence via a portal to be located within the pit. Workings to include twin boom development jumbos, production drills & ventilation including auxiliary fans & vent ducting in working areas. Underground loaders (boggers) & haul trucks to bring ore from the decline to the surface. Upgrade of the 8.7km unsealed road from the Barkly Highway as well as internal haul & access roads. Water to be sourced from workings dewatering, a surface water management system & truck deliveries to site. Power to continue to be supplied by diesel generators with associated fuel storage. Some 80 operational staff expected to be bussed in from Cloncurry or Mt Isa.
