Mine - Coal New project In The Singleton Council Area. Existing operation produces 4.5 Mtpa of Rom coal and the CHPP processes 700 tonnes per hour. A proposal has been approved to increase ROM coal production to 8 Mtpa. Associated development will comprise the construction of a new Coal Handling Plant, establishment of a new supplementary stockpile with capacity of 450,000 tonnes, alter the planned 1500 ML Dam 13B footprint, construct a bridge over the main Northern Railway to improve transport between existing coal pits, alter an access road to the CHPP, relocation of offices, workshop and storage area and an associated access road, and the construction of a desalination unit within the CHPP area for the treatment of mine water. COYOTE GOLD PROJECT - RESOURCE
Private ownership Mining - Support Facilities (Industrial buildings) project In The Halls Creek Council Area for New development. Production rate is expected to be at least 60,000 tonnes per annum. The preferred development plan is based upon a three stage open pit at Coyote to be mined over a year followed by decline development off the base of the pit. Preferred mining method is high grade narrow vein techniques. RAVENSWOOD GOLD OPERATIONS - MOUNT WRIGHT - GOLD RESOURCE
Mining - Support Facilities (Industrial buildings) project for New development. Design work and equipment procurement is to commence shortly with major site works scheduled to start July 2006. The project is expect to cost $77 million with $28.8 million for underground facilities and equipment, $21.7 million for surface facilities and equipment and $26.4 million for capitalised mine development. During the first two years $42 million will be spent on development. Production cost is expected to be $34 per tonne of ore processed. The project will develop in two stages with phase one involving decline development and exploration access for the drill program, while providing a platform for production from the upper levels of the resource. Phase two will extract the remaining resources identified in phase one. The feasibility study completed a comprehensive metallurgical test work, processing strategy using the existing plant, options study on different mining methods, environmental issues connected to tailing storage have been addressed. Underground mining is the method of mining. The Mount Wright prospect is located 10 km northwest of the Sarsfield open pit and is proposed to be developed as a decline accessed underground mine. Mining is to be by open stoping with 50 metre sub-levels at an extraction rate of 1 million tonnes per annum. An extensive underground DC drilling program will be undertaken in conjunction with mine development to upgrade the resource status. Inferred and indicated resource estimate is 1,054,722 ounces of gold. An eight year production life to 2015 and production rate of 1 MTPA. Click for more details...

GROSVENOR COAL PROJECT
via, Moranbah, QLD 4744 Has Grosvenor Coal Project currently at Construction stage. Underground longwall mining at a rate of 7 million tonnes a year (Mtpa) for 26 years. Run-of-mine (ROM) coal to be transported by new conveyor to the adjacent Moranbah North Mine from where 5 Mtpa of product export coking coal to be transported by existing rail facilities to the Abbot Point Coal Terminal. BROKEN HILL SEPARATION PLANT UPGRADE
Currently at the Planning stage In Broken Hill is a project estimated to be $ 36000000. This project The upgrade of the separation plant is proposed to take into account the development of the nearby Snapper project. Upgrades will be undertaken for the plant itself and associated infrastructure. The plant upgrades planned are the additions of a rutile circuit and a zircon circuit. An option to locate a Wet High Intensity Magnetic Separator circuit from the mine site is also proposed. These addition will production to increase from 576,000 tpa to 650,000 tpa. IRON ORE RAPID GROWTH 4 PROJECT - NEWMAN HUB
Newman Hub project at Newman Hub, Newman, WA 6753 in the Mining - Support Facilities (Industrial buildings). The RGP4 modifications include the final tie-ins that convert the existing Newman Operations from a production plant producing secondary crushed ore (with a nominal top size of -100mm) to a plant producing shipping quality lump and fines products. The main features of the new tie-in, starting at TS2 are: A new transfer tower, 41SE010, built immediately to the NE of the existing TS2, in line with conveyor M110. This tower is structurally linked to TS2. The tail end of the existing conveyor M110 is removed and replace by a new conveyor. 41CV010, which runs in the opposite direction and discharges ore to a new transfer conveyor, 41CV020, the tail of which is in the new transfer tower 41SE010. Connecting to the existing Newman High Grade (NHG) discharge in TS2 (ore from #2 Plant and Bene Plant product). Construction of a new single rotary cell train car dumping facility, a new crushing and screening plant to include scalping with middlings recirculation to produce sized lump and fines product. Construction of a new blending stockyard 5 x 210kt lump and fines, live and dead including stacking and reclaim machines, to produce a direct-shippable blended lump and fines product. Construction of sampling facilities for reconciliation of production from the various ore sources (NHB and SOB sites) and as-stacked blend control on the stockpiles. Construction of a new drive through train loading (TLO) facility with separate lump and fines sections. Modifications and additional track at the entrance of Newman Hub rail loop and new loco services facility near the existing Hub workshops. Modifications and additional tracks and realingments in the vicinity of the existing OB29 train loading facility for connections to new car dumper and train loading facility. These works include the additional SOBs train by pass line. Deconstruction of PB29 conveyors M301, M309, M311 transfer station TS3, part deconstruction M308 and the removal of the entire OB29 train Load-out facility. The deconstruction works also include removal of sections of existing rail line made redundant by the Newman Hub works. Decommissioning of the existing train load-out stackers No 1 & 2, stacker conveyors M110 and M6 and the existing train loading tunnels (demolition not included in the RGP4 scope). (one for each end of the building) and the crushing building has one dust collection system. Each system comprises reticulated ductwork, reverse pulse air cleaning type bag house c/w- bags, compressor, air receiver and receiving hoppers that are discharged by rotary valves back onto the adjacent mainline conveyors. QSN LINK GAS PIPELINE
Private ownership Mining - Support Facilities (Industrial buildings) project In The Not Yet Determined Council Area for New development. The QSN Link pipeline will extend south-west from the Ballera Gas facility in Queensland. It will pass approximately 7km to the south of Innamincka in South Australia and terminate at the Moomba plant. The pipeline will be some 180km in length, with approximately 90km in Queensland and 91.5km in South Australia. The pipeline will be typical of a modern, small to medium diameter gas transmission pipeline. Final design parameters are yet to be determined, but it is likely to involve the following infrastructure: a buried, high pressure, steel, natural gas pipeline, with a diameter in the order of 400mm, an inlet station at Ballera, above ground facilities at intervals along the pipeline include a mid-line mainline valve, cathodic protection systems and marker signs and an outlet delivery station at Moomba. The construction workforce will be accommodated in temporary camps and at local accommodation. two preliminary campsite locations have been selected which will accommodate a single camp that will be mobilised from one location to the other during the construction phase of the project. construction depots will be used primarily for equipment storage and will typically be co-located with the construction camps. Facilities and equipment stored at the construction depots may include: site office and administration centre, construction vehicles, diesel fuel and lubricants, vehicle maintenance equipment, sand bags, sediment fencing, star droppers and wooden stakes and pipe wrapping and joint coating materials. When the utility is no longer required, the pipeline will be decommissioned in accordance with the regulatory requirements and accepted environmental best practices at the time. currently decommissioning procedures require the removal of all above ground infrastructure and the restoration of associated disturbed areas. TALINGA DEVELOPMENT PROJECT
Mining - Support Facilities (Industrial buildings) project In The Western Downs Regional Council Area of Resource - Coal Seam Gas type. The project involves transitioning the existing pilot trial of 12 wells to production of up to 90TJ/day of coal seam gas, which will contribute to the supply of gas to the Darling Downs Power Station. The development will involve installing coal seam gas wells at a spacing of between 750m and 1000m; associated gas and water gathering systems, a gas plant, a produced water treatment facility, evaporation ponds, offices, storage areas, workshops, camp and gravel pits. Based on current well production predictions, this equates to the installation of approximately 100 coal seam gas wells. This project will incorporate a water treatment facility to significantly reduce the evaporation pond surface area down to approximately 170ha. The water treatment facility will employ an integrated membrane system, including reverse osmosis, to achieve an 85% desalination recovery and create a freshwater resource. The freshwater will be discharged to the Condamine River catchment until higher level beneficial used, such as industrial, urban or agricultural use, can be implemented. Click for more details...
