LIDDELL COAL COLLIERY - RESOURCE
Mine - Coal New project In The Singleton Council Area. Existing operation produces 4.5 Mtpa of Rom coal and the CHPP processes 700 tonnes per hour. A proposal has been approved to increase ROM coal production to 8 Mtpa. Associated development will comprise the construction of a new Coal Handling Plant, establishment of a new supplementary stockpile with capacity of 450,000 tonnes, alter the planned 1500 ML Dam 13B footprint, construct a bridge over the main Northern Railway to improve transport between existing coal pits, alter an access road to the CHPP, relocation of offices, workshop and storage area and an associated access road, and the construction of a desalination unit within the CHPP area for the treatment of mine water. Expansion of existing Boggarbri open cut coal operations. Upgrade of the coal handling & preparation plant (CHPP) to increase throughput from 1.5 million tonnes per annum (Mtpa) to 2.5Mtpa in 2011 & 4.3Mtpa in 2013. Installation of a new 132kV switchyard/sub-station/overhead power lines. Installation of modular buildings for offices & bathhouse extension. BROKEN HILL SEPARATION PLANT UPGRADE
Currently at the Planning stage In Broken Hill is a project estimated to be $ 36000000. This project The upgrade of the separation plant is proposed to take into account the development of the nearby Snapper project. Upgrades will be undertaken for the plant itself and associated infrastructure. The plant upgrades planned are the additions of a rutile circuit and a zircon circuit. An option to locate a Wet High Intensity Magnetic Separator circuit from the mine site is also proposed. These addition will production to increase from 576,000 tpa to 650,000 tpa. The rutile, ilmenite and zircon circuit feed and rejects stockpiles will all be expanded. The non-magnetic concentrate heavy mineral concentrate receival area will also be expanded. The capacity of the two coal container storages will be expanded from 1000 tonnes to 1500 tonnes. Click for more details...

DRAYTON COAL OPERATIONS EXTENSION PROJECT
Mining - Support Facilities (Industrial buildings) project for New development. Mining of an additional resource of 30 million tonnes from the Greta Coal Measures (targeting the Rowan formation) at a rate of up to 8 Mtpa to extend the mine life to 2017. The extension of mining will predominantly progress to the South of current operations; however, additional areas within the North and East of the project area are also proposed to be mined. The project will require some additional items of equipment to accommodate an increased rate of production such as: 1 x excavator, 3 x track dozers, 5 x 280 tonne rear dump trucks, 1 x additional drill, grader and watercart, plus other minor ancillary equipment. The existing Coal Handling Plant (CHP) & associated stockpile reclamation system will be upgraded in order to align the facilities with the proposed increase in annual production. A new 80 000 tonnes product coal stockpile & a 40 000 tonne domestic product coal stockpile are proposed to further assist production efficiencies. Minor changes to Drayton's water management system are also proposed to maximise water management & use at the mine. Drayton will continue to utilise dragline, excavators, loaders and a fleet of trucks to both uncover the coal & transport it to on-site processing and load-out facilities. Blasting will continue to be required to assist with overburden & coal extraction. Drayton will continue to utilise existing infrastructure such as administration offices, workshops, parking facilities, conveyors, coal handling facilities and coal stockpiles. PINE DALE COAL OPERATIONS STAGE 2 EXTENSION
Mining - Support Facilities (Industrial buildings) project In The Lithgow Council Area of Operating Mine - Extension type. A project to extend operations 10-15 years by incorporating 201ha in the Blackmans Flat area adjoining the now exhausted original Pine Dale mine & the recently approved 27ha Stage 1 Yarraboldy extension. Continued open cut operations accessing 14.2 million tonnes (Mt) at a rate of 2Mt product coal annually. Construction of a new mine industrial area to include a 600tph crushing & screening plant, 100,000t run-of-mine (ROM) stockpile, 200,000t product stockpiles & maintenance facilities. Construction or relocation of offices, amenities, workshop, water management infrastructure, electric power supply, explosives magazine & fuel storage area. Dewatering of existing pit prior to use for overburden & interburden emplacement.
