RAVENSWOOD GOLD OPERATIONS - MOUNT WRIGHT - GOLD RESOURCE
Mining - Support Facilities (Industrial buildings) project for New development. Design work and equipment procurement is to commence shortly with major site works scheduled to start July 2006. The project is expect to cost $77 million with $28.8 million for underground facilities and equipment, $21.7 million for surface facilities and equipment and $26.4 million for capitalised mine development. During the first two years $42 million will be spent on development. Production cost is expected to be $34 per tonne of ore processed. The project will develop in two stages with phase one involving decline development and exploration access for the drill program, while providing a platform for production from the upper levels of the resource. Phase two will extract the remaining resources identified in phase one. The feasibility study completed a comprehensive metallurgical test work, processing strategy using the existing plant, options study on different mining methods, environmental issues connected to tailing storage have been addressed. Underground mining is the method of mining. The Mount Wright prospect is located 10 km northwest of the Sarsfield open pit and is proposed to be developed as a decline accessed underground mine. Mining is to be by open stoping with 50 metre sub-levels at an extraction rate of 1 million tonnes per annum. An extensive underground DC drilling program will be undertaken in conjunction with mine development to upgrade the resource status. Inferred and indicated resource estimate is 1,054,722 ounces of gold. An eight year production life to 2015 and production rate of 1 MTPA. Click for more details...

Private ownership Mining - Support Facilities (Industrial buildings) project In The Not Yet Determined Council Area for New development. The QSN Link pipeline will extend south-west from the Ballera Gas facility in Queensland. It will pass approximately 7km to the south of Innamincka in South Australia and terminate at the Moomba plant. The pipeline will be some 180km in length, with approximately 90km in Queensland and 91.5km in South Australia. The pipeline will be typical of a modern, small to medium diameter gas transmission pipeline. Final design parameters are yet to be determined, but it is likely to involve the following infrastructure: a buried, high pressure, steel, natural gas pipeline, with a diameter in the order of 400mm, an inlet station at Ballera, above ground facilities at intervals along the pipeline include a mid-line mainline valve, cathodic protection systems and marker signs and an outlet delivery station at Moomba. The construction workforce will be accommodated in temporary camps and at local accommodation. two preliminary campsite locations have been selected which will accommodate a single camp that will be mobilised from one location to the other during the construction phase of the project. construction depots will be used primarily for equipment storage and will typically be co-located with the construction camps. Facilities and equipment stored at the construction depots may include: site office and administration centre, construction vehicles, diesel fuel and lubricants, vehicle maintenance equipment, sand bags, sediment fencing, star droppers and wooden stakes and pipe wrapping and joint coating materials. When the utility is no longer required, the pipeline will be decommissioned in accordance with the regulatory requirements and accepted environmental best practices at the time. currently decommissioning procedures require the removal of all above ground infrastructure and the restoration of associated disturbed areas. TALINGA DEVELOPMENT PROJECT
Mining - Support Facilities (Industrial buildings) project In The Western Downs Regional Council Area of Resource - Coal Seam Gas type. The project involves transitioning the existing pilot trial of 12 wells to production of up to 90TJ/day of coal seam gas, which will contribute to the supply of gas to the Darling Downs Power Station. The development will involve installing coal seam gas wells at a spacing of between 750m and 1000m; associated gas and water gathering systems, a gas plant, a produced water treatment facility, evaporation ponds, offices, storage areas, workshops, camp and gravel pits. Based on current well production predictions, this equates to the installation of approximately 100 coal seam gas wells. This project will incorporate a water treatment facility to significantly reduce the evaporation pond surface area down to approximately 170ha. The water treatment facility will employ an integrated membrane system, including reverse osmosis, to achieve an 85% desalination recovery and create a freshwater resource. The freshwater will be discharged to the Condamine River catchment until higher level beneficial used, such as industrial, urban or agricultural use, can be implemented. Click for more details...
