THE PARAFIELD & BROADMEADOWS RAILWAY STATIONS UPGRADE
Kings Rd, Parafield & Tisbury St, Davoren Park, Gawler, SA 5118 Has The Parafield & Broadmeadows Railway Stations Upgrade currently at Construction stage. As part of Public Transport Services (PTS) commitment to providing accessible public transport, two stations have been identified for upgrades to meet access requirements under the Disability Discrimination Act. The sites where upgrade works are to be undertaken are Parafield Station and Broadmeadows Station. Both stations are located on the Gawler line. Parafield station consists of two side platforms. The western (down) platform is an earth filled island platform with bituminous surfacing, located between ARTC and PTS (AMPRN) tracks. Access is via a ramp and automated pedestrian crossing on the northern end. The eastern (up) platform has been partly upgraded previously and consists of a side platform with concrete surfacing. Access is via a northern and a central ramp with the northern ramp connecting to the automated pedestrian crossing. Broadmeadows station is an earth filled island platform with concrete edges and capped with bituminous surfacing, currently with ramps and pedestrian crossings at each end. The railway right of way is a nominated specialised work location and safety of railway operations is of paramount importance. The contractor shall undertake the works in such a manner so as to not impede, obstruct or interfere in any manner whatsoever with Railway Infrastructure. The contractor shall perform all work outlined below in accordance with the contract and any other works outlined in the specifications and on the drawings which includes: demolition and earthworks required for platform modification works, including: removal and disposal of fill material including contaminated materials, removal and disposal of bitumen surfacing, footings and crossings as required, removal and disposal of shelters, lighting, platform furniture, signage and all other redundant infrastructure as required to complete the works, removal and disposal of fencing, disconnection of electrical and communications infrastructure, return of any infrastructure listed for salvage to PTS depot & all other work specified in the specifications and on the drawings; Reconstruction of the platform including: concrete works including edging, footings, pedestrian crossings and platform topping slabs, supply and install TGSIs, pit & conduit installation and modification, including spare conduits (as outlined in the drawings), drainage, including under track, pipe work connections, pits, grates, gutters & downpipes, off platform works and all other associated works, footings for platform furniture, light poles, illuminated signage, timetables mirrors and shelters, raise existing pits and install new pits to meet new finished platform level flush with platform surface & earthing and bonding of platform infrastructure and concrete reinforcement and associated work in preparation for the future electrification of the Gawler Railway Line; manufacture and installation of new shelters; plumbing connection and installation of water points; supply and install all new station furniture, including on walkways, outside of the shelter (seating, lean rails and bins) including footings; reconstruct ramps, access paths and pedestrian crossings in accordance with the drawings including concrete maze slabs, TGSIs, fencing, handrails and kerbs (or kerb rails) as required, walkways across tracks, access paths between ramps and pedestrian crossings & smooth transition to adjoining surfaces; supply and install all new signage & supply and install Alpolic (Di Bond) shelter signage including back lighting; install all pits and conduits required to complete all electrical & comms works including future works and additional spare conduits in accordance with the drawings, install all conduits including spares to the shelter, light poles, signs and pits & raise existing pits flush with surrounding surface; supply Click for more details...

BLUE LAKE PEDESTRIAN SOLAR LIGHTING

Design, supply & installation of pedestrian solar lighting around the Blue Lake. The Blue Lake in Mount Gambier is a popular recreational & tourist location, receiving a high amount of visitors (local & non-local) each year. The Blue Lake has a 3.5km pedestrian walkway around its perimeter, which many people use for walking & running. Currently only a small section of the walkway is lit at night time. Council wishes for the remainder of the walkway (including any dark spots between existing lighting) to be lit at night time, to enable people to walk & run around the lake in the evenings in a safe environment, particularly during the shorter days of the cooler months. Given that 2.6km of the path does not have hard wired electricity within a close proximity, solar lighting provides an ideal solution. A small number of car parks associated with the walkway, paths leading up to look outs, & a small reserve containing outdoor public gym equipment is also required to be lit. TONSLEY CIVIL WORKS STAGE 3

The Principal invites tenders for the following: SCOPE OF WORK: The Contract is for the construction of subdivisional roadworks, drainage & services including sequencing to prioritise the works for site traffic & pedestrian management purposes. In conjunction with the civil works associated with the subdivisional works, SAPN will separately be undergrounding the existing overhead power lines within the boundary of the site works & in the vicinity of these works. The civil works associated with the undergrounding of the power lines & removal of poles shall be undertaken by the civil contractor under this contract & works coordinated under the direction of SAPN & the Superintendent. The scope of work shall include the following: 1) liaison & cooperation with Council & the service authorities (including SAPN for undergrounding of 66kV works & removal of existing stobie poles & SAPN infrastructure); 2) liaison & cooperation with Renewal SA & Superintendent on matters relating to vehicular & pedestrian access to other stakeholders on the site including but not limited to the DPTI Park n Ride car Park, SIEC car park, Mitsubishi Spare Parts Building, SIEC commercial vehicles, access for SAPN at all times to the existing SAPN substation & general public movements & site tenants; 3) liaison, cooperation & approval from DPTI rail services regarding the proposed boring & pipe jacking of pipes/conduits beneath the railway line for 66kV, stormwater & recycled water; 4) liaise with Renewal SA environmental consultant regarding contamination issues, existing groundwater monitoring wells; 5) setting out the works from established bench marks & boundaries; 6) site clearance of all vegetation, rubbish, pavement material, internal services, fences & structures (including stockpiling on site where indicated); 7) demolition of existing infrastructure as marked on the drawings &/or required to facilitate construction of new roads & infrastructure contained within the stage boundary. Contractor to prepare a surveyed plan showing the location of all underground services that were removed & submit to Superintendent prior to Practical Completion; 8) remove all stobie pole footings & recompact in accordance with specification; 9) demolition of steel structure at northern end of Western Plant building including gantry; 10) disposal of material (including but not limited to concrete pavement, kerbs, asphalt etc) shall be to an approved recycling depot (where possible). Contractor to provide documentation as proof; 11) stripping, excavation & removal off site of all existing granular pavement material & spoil material from the stage boundary including but not limited to trenching, formation of roadworks & earthworks; 12) soil erosion & drainage management including drainage from external of the site boundary including but not limited to the existing adjacent buildings; 13) maintain access & live services to the existing buildings & parking facilities within & surrounding the project area at all times. RIDLEY RESERVE OVAL FLOODLIGHTS

The Principal invites tenders for the installation of Oval Floodlights for Ridley Reserve. DESCRIPTION OF PROJECT: The tender comprises of the supply and installation of new switchboards and the installation of lighting towers and light fittings for flood lighting of Ridley Reserve, at the corner of Ridley Road and Fairfield Road, Elizabeth, for the City of Playford, S.A. SCOPE OF WORKS: The works include, but are not limited to, the items listed below. All dimensions and quantities shall be confirmed in writing with the Superintendent before ordering the items or carrying out the works. Items not in the specification but shown on the drawings or vice versa shall be included: a) Dismantling and removal from site of 2 existing floodlighting poles including removal of light fittings, footings and associated equipment. Footings shall be removed to a minimum depth of 300mm below adjacent finished surface level. Allow to dismantle the light fittings, control gear and poles and deliver to the City of Playford operations depot at 12 Bishopstone Road, Davoren Park, S.A. 5113; b) Supply and installation of a new 600 Amp weatherproof main switchboard and 6 new weatherproof lighting control switchboards where shown on the drawing, including connection to the new transformer and installation of lighting control via contactors; c) Relocation of the temporary supply to the club rooms from the existing transformer to the new main switchboard: d) Supply and installation of 10 pole footings to a depth of 4800mm with a diameter of 1020mm; e) Confirm dimensions and pole locations with the Superintendent. Refer section 3.5 re soil type; f) Take delivery of the 10 floodlight towers, cages and head frames when delivered to site and allow to pick up the 100 light fittings and control gear from the City of Playford maintenance depot at 12 Bishopstone Road, Davoren Park, S.A. 5113. Include insurance for the poles, light fittings and all associated equipment from date of delivery and pick up from the depot; g) Assembly and installation of 10 only 32 metre floodlight poles where shown on the drawing, complete with footing cages, rag bolt assemblies and head frames supplied by the Principal; h) Installation and connection of 100 floodlights supplied by the Principal; i) Supply and installation of new weatherproof single phase power outlets on the fence posts at 900 mm AFGL where shown on the drawing; j) Underground power supply to the new poles, power outlets and light fittings including all trenching, backfilling, compaction and surface reinstatement to match the adjacent surface. Allow to include loam cover and seed to all trenched areas; k) Allow to locate all existing underground services and directional bore for new underground services where nominated on the drawings; l) All required penetrations including making good to match adjacent surfaces. Cable routes shall be approved in writing by the Superintendent before the ordering of equipment; m) All wiring at the top of the pole shall be enclosed in HFT conduit with the appropriate HFT termination fittings; n) Manufacturers shop drawings and As-Installed drawings; o) Testing, commissioning, operating and maintenance manuals and warranties; p) Liaise with the power supplier for the installation of their equipment and pay all fees. RAILWAY STATION LED LIGHTING UPGRADE
Civil Engineering (Lighting, signal towers, transmitting towers, lines, beacons) project for New development. The Principal is responsible for operating & maintaining the Adelaide Metropolitan Rail Network (AMPRN). DPTI wishes to upgrade the existing lighting at a number of stations across the Adelaide Metropolitan Rail network (AMPRN) by installing new Ingal (or equivalent) tilt-down (see-saw) poles & LED pole-mounted luminaires on the platforms. This work is not intended as a full electrical upgrade but rather as a like-for-like replacement, although some additional electrical cabling work will be required at some stations.
