Waterfront - Redevelopment - Design & Construct project at Foreshore btwn Barrack & William Sts, Perth, WA 6000 In The Council Area Of Perth of State. Construction of a 2.8 ha inlet that will bring the river back to near its original shore line. The inlet will be surrounded by landscaped terraces, boardwalks & promenades. It is proposed to remove a section of Riverside Dr & some changes may be made to existing roads to create more pedestrian-friendly routes. Significant work may be done on road re-alignment, drainage & dredging. The inlet, designed to reflect the historical characteristics of Perth Port, will have room for public boat mooring facilities. At the centre of the new inlet will be an island. VASSE AND WONNERUP WATERWAYS - MARINE FLOODGATES
New project of Civil Engineering (Marinas) project at Vasse & Wonnerup Estuaries via Layman Rd & Floodgate Rd, Wonnerup, WA 6280. It is proposed to construct two new floodgates of concrete & steel in waterways of Vasse & Wonnerup Estuaries. New floodgates will be built in close proximity to existing timber floodgates, which have reached end of their design life. Existing timber floodgates to be kept operational while new work is being built. Generally scope of works shall comprise construction & commissioning of replacement floodgates, along with completion of all interfaces between new & existing elements. It includes civil, electrical, instrumentation, mechanical, telemetry & structural works. Scope includes, but is not necessarily limited to design & construction of temporary works such as coffer dams & dewatering facilities so that works can be undertaken in dry conditions; design & construction of measures to limit environmental impacts such as turbidity, odour & noise (it is envisaged that turbidity control measures will include detention basin, clearwater discharge facilities & silt curtains); demolition of remnants of Old Ballarat Railway Bridge & extraction of any associated timber piles that conflict with proposed position of cut-off sheet piles on new floodgates (this work includes backfilling of each extraction site); excavation, disposal & earth filling for floodgates & abutments; supply & installation of permanent sheet piling, cast in-situ reinforced concrete, pre-cast culverts, revetment mattresses, fibreglass stopboards & associated works; supply & installation of mechanical, electrical instrumentation & telemetry works for monitoring & actuation of floodgates; removal & modification of existing stainless steel flap gates from old timber structures & mounting on new structures; road & drainage works; testing & commissioning of new floodgates; demolition of old floodgates, including preservation of south abutment & infill wall of Wonnerup Floodgates. Demolition of 2 storey ship chandlery brick building, slipway, including the return walls, workshop, outdoor maintenance area, shipping containers, demountable storage structures & winch stores, timber deck/wharf & shed, seawall from the north of the existing Club House for the length of the site, concrete handstand for the dry berths, & removal of two at grade bitumen car parks currently at street/wharf level. Construction of a new single storey building comprising sailing/marina office, sailing school, office, kiosk, chandlery, shipwright facilities, male & female toilet and changing facilities. Construction of a new 2 storey building to accommodate enclosed parking for 9 cars & ramp to the basement carpark at ground floor.
