FISHERMANS WHARF DEVELOPMENT
A project in the NSW Within Wyong. Construction of a 3 storey tourist development that will include a number of upmarket restaurants, retail tenancies, extensive deck areas for outdoor eating and public entertainment, function rooms, public toilets and a timber boardwalk over the water supported on piers. The proposed development contains the following components: ground floor - 11 tenancies (shops/restaurants - 2 kitchens); 2 offices (centre manager & secretary); entry foyer/lift; open deck areas; storage areas; public toilets/baby change; and garbage bin storage. AUSTEEL STEEL MILL
A project in the NSW Within Port Stephens. Construction of a Steel Mill to produce 4 million tonne per year of steel from the Western Australian Fortescue iron ore deposit. The steel mill complex will include 3 electric arc furnaces, 3 ladle furnaces, 2 thin slab casters, a thick slab caster, a hot strip mill & a hot strip temper mill. As well there is a cold mill complex comprising a pickle line, 2 single standing reversing mills, a galvanising line, a tempermill, batch annealing & an inspection/coil handling & packaging facility. The NSW Government has entered into an agreement to develop a 150ha site for the steel mill & a 25ha site for a port facility & lease them to Austeel on a long term commercial basis. ROZELLE BAY MARINE CENTRE - SYDNEY BOATHOUSE
Civil Engineering (Marinas) project In The Leichhardt Council Area of Private ownership. Construction of a dry boat storage facility with 2 dry boat stores which will house a maximum of 670 power boats form 6 to 12 m long. Construction of 2 level commercial marine centre housing marine businesses including sales, fishing supplies, insurance & finance, trimming & electronics, a public plaza. Loading & unloading conveyer berths with indexing pontoons. Multi-level carpark (5 storeys) providing carparking for approximately 255 vehicles, 2 at grade carparks providing a total of 107 carparking spaces. Construction of 4 x 25,000 litre underground fuel storage tanks. Marina comprising 32 formal layover berths, 4 informal layover berths & 24 layover brokerage berths and a boat in/out feed system used for moving boats between the dry boat stores and the water. The dry boat storage facility would provide a rack storage solution for motor boats, off the water. This would comprise an eastern boat store of approximately 5,130sq m for up to 390 boats & a western store of approx 4,953sq m for 280 boats. The western boat store approximately 4,599sq m. At ground level, this building would cater for uses such as ancillary marine services, administration & waiting areas, boat service workshops, boat sales/showrooms, plant rooms, chandlers & ancillary food & beverage facilities & amenities. DOUBLE BAY MARINA REDEVELOPMENT
Civil Engineering (Marinas) project In The Woollahra Council Area of Marina - Redevelopment type. The proposal includes the following: removal of all existing structures except for the first 14 m of the existing jetty structure, which is to be 'redecked'. Provision of a floating jetty & side arms to facilitate easy boat access. The jetty will extend only 98 mm beyond the extent of the existing jetty (excluding the jetty arm provided for a 'public' servicing berth as required by NSW Maritime). A ramp will connect the retained portion of the existing jetty with the new floating marina system. Other associated facilities include light & service pedestals for lighting, water & fire hose reel, a fuel station, sewage pump out facility, wheelchair lifting arm/ramp and security gates. A public service berth is proposed at the western side of the T-Head. The new marina will accommodate 45 moorings. This is an increase on the existing number by 5, however there will be a consequent reduction in the number of swing moorings. The overall number of boats associated with the marina will remain at 65. Also the new arrangement allows for the accommodation of 5 larger boats (up to 18m) at the end of the jetty. The proposal will require an increase in the size of the existing lease area for the fixed berths by approximately 440sq m. Commercial development may incorporate a 4-4.5 star hotel with flexible conference facilities; & boutique office space. Marina project at 60 Waratah St, Cronulla, NSW 2230 in the Civil Engineering (Marinas). Expansion of existing marina at Cronulla. The proposal predominantly relates to the water based components of the marina & includes the extension of the existing wet berth marina complex by 38 berths, relinquishment of 42 swing moorings, relocation of 4 houseboat moorings as fore & aft moorings, & upgrade of the slipways & associated infrastructure. Stage 1b comprises additional 22 berths, with casual public berthing added, involving conversion of parallel berthing from Stage 1a to casual public berthing opportunities along floating breakwater (also with removal of temporary casual public berthing offered under Stage 1a); floating internal Arm B (secure) catering for up to 30 berths; provision of services (water, power, lighting, fire hose reels) to berths via service conduits incorporated into jetty, gangway and pontoon design to service pedestals.
