ROCKVALE PROJECT
30 km north east of, Armidale, NSW 2350 Has Rockvale Project currently at Exploration, Drilling, Survey & Assessment stage. A moderate sized area of multiple silver-gold-arsenic mineralisation. The principal workings within the licence are the Tulloch and Ruby mines, where narrow, high grade silver lodes in granite have been mined on a relatively small-scale. The Ruby line of lode is spatially associated with a poorly outcropping aplite dyke and is traceable in a northeasterly direction approx. 650 metres. It appears to comprise two sub-vertically dipping silver-rich lodes, the more westerly of which has been worked to a verticle depth of approx. 120 metres. A previous diamond drill hole intersection of this lode averaged 687.5oz/ton silver over a drill width of 1.42 metres. The more or less adjoining easterly lode averaged 40.2oz/ton silver over 2.66 metres. Eight other hole drilled either encountered old working or lower (not quantified) silver values. The results of an I.P. survey indicate extension of sulphide mineralisation (within which other rich shoots might be developed) to the immediate northeast of the main workings. Gold-silver mineralisation has been worked on a small-scale at several localities adjoining the Wollomombi River, about 2km along trend from Ruby. At Silver Point multiple quartz-silver/gold veining is developed in an aplite pipe; the nearjy Union Jack, Little Nell and Little Beauty Mines comprise gold-rich quartz veins, but little is known of their potential.
