TOMAGO TRUNKMAIN UPGRADE OVER ASH ISLAND
Currently at the Construction stage In Newcastle is a project estimated to be $ 7000000. This project The project involves the decommissioning and replacement of an existing underground 900mm water trunkmain (DN 900) with a new 1350mm underground trunkmain (DN 1350) along approximately 3k of Ash Island. The project site is comprised of: construction zone ? a 20 metre corridor along the three km length of the trunkmain, and a site compound area (approximately 13.61 hectares within the City Farm area managed by the Kooragang Wetland Rehabilitation Project). The compound area consists of the ASS remediation and disposal area, a site office and soil stockpiling area; and disturbance zone ? a 15 metre corridor located within the construction zone west from Ramsar Road, which includes the centreline of the proposed route and the proposed vegetation clearance area required for construction. The construction zone would be delineated and temporarily fenced during the construction period so as to confine construction activities within the designated area. The zone does not pass through the Kooragang Nature Reserve (KNR, now known as Hunter Wetlands National Park) but lies 10-15 m from the KNR boundary in the northern section and 20-30 m from the KNR boundary in the southern section of the proposed route. The proposal would involve disturbance of a total area of 18.64 ha (5.03 ha within the disturbance zone and 13.61 ha within the compound area), the majority of which is cleared pasture/grassland. Only one ha of this is SEPP 14 wetland areas. The Proponent proposes to rehabilitate and restore all areas impacted during construction, including areas adjacent to the construction zone. Mardi Dam To Mangrove Creek Dam Pipeline - Link Project is currently at the Construction stage, valued at about $ 64156000 it is Construction of a pipeline from Mardi Dam to Mangrove Creek Dam approximately 21 kms away. Mardi Dam Inlet Upgrade - A new inlet to Mardi Dam to take the flow from both the Wyong River to Mardi Dam Rising Main & from the Mardi to Mangrove Transfer Rising Main. Mardi to Mangrove Transfer Pumping Station - new pumping station to pump water from Mardi Dam, through the Mardi to Mangrove Transfer Rising Main, to Mangrove Creek Dam at a rate of up to 160ML/day. Mardi to Mangrove Transfer Rising Main - A new pipeline, approx 19km long & 1000mm diameter, linking the end of the existing Bunning Creek Tunnel (which leads to Mangrove Creek Dam) with Mardi Dam. It will have a capacity of 160ML/day and will permit flow in either direction according to operational needs. MARSTEL TERMINALS BULK LIQUIDS STORAGE FACILITY

Development and operation of a bulk liquid fuel storage facility, comprising development of a tank farm with capacity to store diesel and biodiesel liquid fuel products; use of an existing ship berthing facility (Berth M4) to receive diesel fuel by sea; development of a pipeline to transport diesel fuel from this berthing facility to the tank farm; use of the existing road network to receive biofuels and to dispatch diesel and biodiesel; and development of ancillary services and infrastructure, including internal roads. excavation of areas for tank foundations; construction of reinforced concrete bund walls; preparation of the bund floor (excavation, backfilling with crushed rock, installation of liner, additional backfilling with crushed rock and priming/sealing); installation and diversion of services and infrastructure, including stormwater drainage lines; construction of internal roadways (excavation, compacting of road base; pouring of concrete pavement (reinforced) for main driveway; construction of a pipeline on existing supports to transfer materials between the berth and the storage facility; and - construction vehicle movements. Much of the material would be prefabricated and installed on site, particularly fuel facility components, thereby minimising the construction activities required on site. NARRABUNDAH TO HUME GAS PIPELINE

Tenders are invited for the design & construction of the wastewater treatment plant (WWTP) for the Wirrabara Community Wastewater Management System. The following list indicates the main elements of the Works sufficient to ensure that the Tenderer is aware of the cope of the Tender. It does not detail duties, actions or items of supply on minor works which are self-evident or inherent to the satisfactory completion of the scheme as described in the tender documents. The tender as detailed below shall comprise the whole of the Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP) for the Wirrabara Community Wastewater Management System (CWMS), including labour & materials necessary to execute the Works described in this specification & shown on the drawings, including any obvious items for the property completion of the work comprising: Preliminaries: 1) All site establishment costs; 2) Obtaining all licenses & payment of fees where required for conduct of the Works & compliance with all regulations relating to the Works; 3) Provision for quality control & assurance, environmental controls & traffic management; 4) All setting out of the Works, including locating services, temporary bench marks, etc; 5) Service locating & depthing; 6) Compaction testing & air testing; 7) Provision for all site security; 8) The transportation of all personnel, plant & materials to & from the site; 9) Provision of temporary site accommodation if required; 10) Provision of all personnel, facilities & amenities for the administration of the Works of the scheme; 11) Provision of office facilities for the Superintendents Representative for the duration of the Works; 12) As constructed drawings; 13) Operations Manuals; 14) Practical Completion inspections & End of Defects Inspections; 15) Site Meetings. Wastewater Treatment Plant - An extended aeration or other approved WWTP & sludge dewatering, as specified to treat the types & volumes of wastewater(s) to the minimum standard specified. Site Security Fence - Around the perimeter of the WWTP site. Civil Works - Site works, bunding, drainage, hardstands as required to install & access the plant & access road to the pad. Not bulk earthworks for lagoon by others. Control Shed - Supply & Installation of a colorbond shed to house filter, disinfection equipment, control panels, spare parts, distribution boards etc., required for the WWTP. The control shed shall contain one roller door & two personal access doors. Internal thermal insulation & roof ventilation (whirly bird) shall be provided. Chlorine Disinfection Systems: Supply, installation & commissioning of a packaged chlorine disinfection system within the treatment station to achieve a Class B water quality in accordance with the South Australian Recycled Water Guidelines issued by the South Australian Department of Health & Ageing (DHA) & Environment Protection Authority (EPA). Ancillary Works - All associated pipework, fittings, electrical reticulation, control, monitoring & alarm systems, telecommunication facilities & other items as required for the complete & full operation of the treatment facilities as specified herein & as required for the particular facilities as proposed by the Tenderer. Power Supply - The Tenderer shall be responsible for engaging SA Power Networks (SAPN) to connect single phase power to the site. Note that three phase power supply will not be available. Nyngan - Cobar pipeline - part replacement - construction of a 29.4 km long 375 mm nominal diameter (DN375) ductile iron cement lined (DICL) pipeline from Nyngan Pump Station (PS) to Hermidale, including: supply & installation of cross connections between the new DN375 pipeline & existing DN375 & DN300 pipelines; supply & installation of air valves, scour & isolation valves including valve pits, surface boxes, discharge pipes; construction of thrust blocks & anchor blocks for bends, tees, tapers & valves; supply & installation of the pipeline connection at the Nyngan PS including all necessary valves, pipework, flow meter, pigging pits; construction of 2 pigging pits for the existing DN375 pipeline at Hermidale Pump station; transfer of existing service connections (11) from the 300 mm pipeline to the new pipeline & all associated works related to the pipeline such as concrete encasements, supports, marker posts & other minor works necessary for the proper completion & functioning of the pipeline. Nyngan Pump station - upgrade works - design & construct - 2 x 450 mm diameter x 6 m deep bores with PVC casings & sealed bottoms; 300 mm inlet pipe from the inlet channel to the bores with an inlet screen & a stop board; two submersible turbine pumps (pot type bore pumps), one duty & one standby, to operate in parallel with other existing main pump(s) at this pumping station; bore pump delivery pipework including valves & a flow meter (associated with the bore pumps); connection of the bore pumping system to the existing Nyngan pumps delivery pipework; instrumentation for the new pumping system such as pressure transmitters, level transmitters in the bores, pressure gauges; variable speed drives (VSD) with associated electrical switchgear for the new pumps & control system & calibration of existing two sets of DN 300 and DN 375 flow meters. Hermidale pump station - upgrade works - design/construct - three flow meters with necessary pipework including locating existing pipelines; two vertical multi-stage centrifugal type jacking pumps, one duty & one standby to operate in parallel with other main pump(s) at this pumping station; a building for jacking pumps; suction & delivery pipework including valves & a flow meter associated with the jacking pumps; connection of the new jacking pumping system to the existing Hermidale pumps suction an delivery pipework; instrumentation for the new pumping system such as pressure transmitters, pressure gauges for the jacking pumps delivery as well as a level sensor inside the balance tank to control the new pumps; Variable Speed Drives (VSD) with associated electrical switchgear for the new pumps & control system; modification to the ventilation ducts & louvres in the existing pump station building to suit the construction & operation of the proposed jacking pump building. Improvements to surge tanks along to Nyngan to Cobar pipeline - modification to the existing pipework including replacement of all above-ground pipework and valves at the Mount Boppy Surge tank; provision of a level sensor (for monitoring of water level) in Mount Boppy surge tank with necessary electrical & telemetry works; modification to the existing inlet pipework for surge tanks at chainages 44.41 km and 16.7 km. Improvements to control valves at Cobar staorages - installation of 2 sets of electrically actuated valves with necessary pipework including: pits, pressure transmitters (one on each rising main feeding to Cobar inground storage tank), power supply, electrical & telemetry works; locating & cutting the existing pipes and construction of a pit & cover for each; an isolation valve on the upstream side of the each valve outside the pit is also to be provided. telemetr Click for more details...
