MUNMORAH GAS TURBINE FACILITY
Gas Turbine Facility project at Part Lot 61 DP1065038, Doyalson, NSW 2262 in the Civil Engineering (Pipelines). Proposed construction of a gas turbine facility to be built on the site of the existing Munmorah Power Station. The proposed development would include: four gas turbines with a combined power output of approximately 600MV; a back-start generator; distillate fuel & demineralised water storages; a gas compressor; an evaporative air cooling unit; and a gas supply pipeline. The open-cycle gas turbine facility and lateral gas pipeline would connect the gas turbine facility to the Sydney-Newcastle gas pipeline. The gas turbine facility would be operated as a peak-load power station, supplying electricity at short notice during periods of peak power demand. This project The Western Sydney Recycled Water Initiative - Replacement Flows Project, involves interconnection of three existing sewage treatment plants and treating the available effluent from these plants via a new advanced water treatment plant to replace the water that is currently released from Warragamba Dam for extraction and river health purposes. The project involves the construction and operation of the following key components: an advanced water treatment plant at St Marys sewage treatment plant; effluent transfer pipelines from Quakers Hill, Penrith and St Marys sewage treatment plants to the advanced water treatment plant; a brine transfer pipeline and pumping station for the transfer of brine from the advanced water treatment plant to a storage pond at Quakers Hill sewage treatment plant. Development and operation of a bulk liquid fuel storage facility, comprising development of a tank farm with capacity to store diesel and biodiesel liquid fuel products; use of an existing ship berthing facility (Berth M4) to receive diesel fuel by sea; development of a pipeline to transport diesel fuel from this berthing facility to the tank farm; use of the existing road network to receive biofuels and to dispatch diesel and biodiesel; and development of ancillary services and infrastructure, including internal roads. excavation of areas for tank foundations; construction of reinforced concrete bund walls; preparation of the bund floor (excavation, backfilling with crushed rock, installation of liner, additional backfilling with crushed rock and priming/sealing); installation and diversion of services and infrastructure, including stormwater drainage lines; construction of internal roadways (excavation, compacting of road base; pouring of concrete pavement (reinforced) for main driveway; construction of a pipeline on existing supports to transfer materials between the berth and the storage facility; and - construction vehicle movements. Separable Portion 1 (SP1) - Construction of Miriam SPS; the work includes supply & installation of two submersible Flygt Pumps (each 45 kW) mechanical electrical equipment, switchboards, telemetry, consumer mains ,connection to the local Authorities power supply, commissioning with potable water. Separable Portion 2 (SP2) - Construction of discharge rising main & gravity sewerage pipelines which consists of approximately 2019 metres of MDPE PN16 PE80 DN225 mm rising main inclusive of connection to existing sewer manhole & valve pit. Approximately 344 metres of DN225 mm PN6 PVC gravity sewer mains inclusive of 7 new manholes and 2 interception manholes. Approximately 805 metres of DN150 PN6 PVC gravity sewer mains inclusive of 17 new manholes & an under bore of railway between MH9 and MH8. The work includes testing & commissioning of the pipelines. CALTEX JET FUEL PIPELINE
Caltex Jet Fuel Pipeline is currently at the Construction stage, valued at about $ 24000000 it is Jet fuel pipeline upgrade. Project comprises work at both Kurnell Refinery & Banksmeadow Terminal. Works within the Kurnell Refinery includes: installation of 2 transfer pumps; installation of 2 coalescer filters & associated instruments; installation, modification & replacement of various valves, discharge piping & a flow control loop; installation of a pigging station to be located at the new pumps; replacement of the turbine flow meter; installation of cabling for the pumps, motors valves. Installation of the new jet fuel pipeline (KBL) from the proposed pumps to the edge of the refinery at gate 5; from here the new KBL would be installed close to the route of the existing KBL; the KBL would be installed along the wharf, up to the tie in point before the pipe submerges beneath Botany Bay.
