TOMAGO TRUNKMAIN UPGRADE OVER ASH ISLAND
Currently at the Construction stage In Newcastle is a project estimated to be $ 7000000. This project The project involves the decommissioning and replacement of an existing underground 900mm water trunkmain (DN 900) with a new 1350mm underground trunkmain (DN 1350) along approximately 3k of Ash Island. The project site is comprised of: construction zone ? a 20 metre corridor along the three km length of the trunkmain, and a site compound area (approximately 13.61 hectares within the City Farm area managed by the Kooragang Wetland Rehabilitation Project). The compound area consists of the ASS remediation and disposal area, a site office and soil stockpiling area; and disturbance zone ? a 15 metre corridor located within the construction zone west from Ramsar Road, which includes the centreline of the proposed route and the proposed vegetation clearance area required for construction. The construction zone would be delineated and temporarily fenced during the construction period so as to confine construction activities within the designated area. The zone does not pass through the Kooragang Nature Reserve (KNR, now known as Hunter Wetlands National Park) but lies 10-15 m from the KNR boundary in the northern section and 20-30 m from the KNR boundary in the southern section of the proposed route. The proposal would involve disturbance of a total area of 18.64 ha (5.03 ha within the disturbance zone and 13.61 ha within the compound area), the majority of which is cleared pasture/grassland. Only one ha of this is SEPP 14 wetland areas. The Proponent proposes to rehabilitate and restore all areas impacted during construction, including areas adjacent to the construction zone. NEWCASTLE GAS STORAGE FACILITY
Storage Facility/Pipeline New project In The Newcastle Council Area. Construction of a gas plant & pipelines. The Project includes the following components: the gas plant site, including subdivision; access road and utility corridor; gas pipeline access corridor; pipeline corridor including temporary construction areas; Hexham receiving station; gas pipeline connection to the existing Jemena Gate Station at Hexham; associated and ancillary infrastructure. The fenced gas plant infrastructure area will occupy less than half of the 28ha gas plant site. Construction comprises a processing plant that will convert pipeline natural gas to liquefied natural gas (LNG) by cooling it to -162°C, it will be capable of processing up to 66,500 t of LNG per year. Insulated, non-pressurised LNG storage tank (capable of containing 30,000 t or 63,000 m3 of LNG, equivalent to 1.5 petajoules & an associated containment bund to contain any potential spills or leaks. A re-gasification unit to convert the LNG in the storage tank back into natural gas.A flare. A truck loading facility to allow the dispatch of up to 1,000 tankers of LNG per year. A new road to connect the gas plant site to TAC Northern Access Road. Infrastructure & utility connections. An emergency access road. A natural gas pipeline connecting the gas plant site to the receiving station. Construction of water supply scheme consisting of 3 separable portions: construction of pipelines along Mogriguy Rd from Brockhurst to Eumungerie & within Mogriguy & Eumungerie villages, design & construction of reservoir & chlorination system on Mogriguy Rd opposite Kyarra Dr way & design & construction of Brocklehurst pumping station at Brocklehurst within the Wambiana St Reserve. Scope of work includes :Separable Portion 1 - Construction of Pipelines, rising main from Brocklehurst Pumping Station to Eumungerie Reservoir, reticulation main from Eumungerie Reservoir to the Eumungerie town, reticulation main from Eumungerie Reservoir to the Mogriguy village, reticulation network within Eumungerie, reticulation network within Mogriguy. Separable Portion 2 - Design and Construction package of Reservoir and Chlorination System including design and Construction of a 100 kL reservoir at approximately 16.6 km from Brocklehurst Pumping Station, design and construction/Installation of a chlorination system at the reservoir site, civil works at the reservoir site include inlet, outlet pipelines from the reservoir, scour/overflow pipeline from the reservoir to drainage outlet, access road, fencing and gates, scour/overflow discharge outlet, concrete pits for magflow meters, chlorination injection point and isolation valves. LOWER SOUTH CREEK TREATMENT PROGRAM
State ownership Civil Engineering (Pipelines) project In The Various Council Area for New development. Lower South Creek Treatment (LSCT) Program comprises: A new 14.2 MLD Biological Nutrient Removal (BNR) Plant with primary sedimentation at Riverstone. A new 38 MLD Biological Nutrient Removal (BNR) Plant with primary sedimentation at Quakers Hill, to replace the existing IDAL plant; the process design for this plant should match the Riverstone BNR plant including standardised mechanical and electrical assets. A new 12 km 250mm diameter sludge transfer pipeline from Quakers Hill to St Marys following existing RFP alignment. COBAR WATER BOARD - TWIN PIPELINES
Civil Engineering (Pipelines) project In The Cobar Council Area of Pipelines/Pump Station - Replacement type. Project comprises 4 sections. Nyngan to Cobar Pipeline including surge tank sites; Cobar storages; Nyngan Pump Station & Hermidale Pump Station. Nyngan - Cobar pipeline - part replacement - construction of a 29.4 km long 375 mm nominal diameter (DN375) ductile iron cement lined (DICL) pipeline from Nyngan Pump Station (PS) to Hermidale, including: supply & installation of cross connections between the new DN375 pipeline & existing DN375 & DN300 pipelines; supply & installation of air valves, scour & isolation valves including valve pits, surface boxes, discharge pipes; construction of thrust blocks & anchor blocks for bends, tees, tapers & valves; supply & installation of the pipeline connection at the Nyngan PS including all necessary valves, pipework, flow meter, pigging pits; construction of 2 pigging pits for the existing DN375 pipeline at Hermidale Pump station; transfer of existing service connections (11) from the 300 mm pipeline to the new pipeline & all associated works related to the pipeline such as concrete encasements, supports, marker posts & other minor works necessary for the proper completion & functioning of the pipeline. Nyngan Pump station - upgrade works - design & construct - 2 x 450 mm diameter x 6 m deep bores with PVC casings & sealed bottoms; 300 mm inlet pipe from the inlet channel to the bores with an inlet screen & a stop board; two submersible turbine pumps (pot type bore pumps), one duty & one standby, to operate in parallel with other existing main pump(s) at this pumping station; bore pump delivery pipework including valves & a flow meter (associated with the bore pumps); connection of the bore pumping system to the existing Nyngan pumps delivery pipework; instrumentation for the new pumping system such as pressure transmitters, level transmitters in the bores, pressure gauges; variable speed drives (VSD) with associated electrical switchgear for the new pumps & control system & calibration of existing two sets of DN 300 and DN 375 flow meters. Hermidale pump station - upgrade works - design/construct - three flow meters with necessary pipework including locating existing pipelines; two vertical multi-stage centrifugal type jacking pumps, one duty & one standby to operate in parallel with other main pump(s) at this pumping station; a building for jacking pumps; suction & delivery pipework including valves & a flow meter associated with the jacking pumps; connection of the new jacking pumping system to the existing Hermidale pumps suction an delivery pipework; instrumentation for the new pumping system such as pressure transmitters, pressure gauges for the jacking pumps delivery as well as a level sensor inside the balance tank to control the new pumps; Variable Speed Drives (VSD) with associated electrical switchgear for the new pumps & control system; modification to the ventilation ducts & louvres in the existing pump station building to suit the construction & operation of the proposed jacking pump building. Improvements to surge tanks along to Nyngan to Cobar pipeline - modification to the existing pipework including replacement of all above-ground pipework and valves at the Mount Boppy Surge tank; provision of a level sensor (for monitoring of water level) in Mount Boppy surge tank with necessary electrical & telemetry works; modification to the existing inlet pipework for surge tanks at chainages 44.41 km and 16.7 km. Improvements to control valves at Cobar staorages - installation of 2 sets of electrically actuated valves with necessary pipework including: pits, pressure transmitters (one on each rising main feeding to Cobar inground storage tank), power supply, electrical & telemetry works; locating & cutting the existing pipes and construction of a pit & cover for each; an isolation valve on the upstream side of the each valve outside the pit is also to be provided. telemetr Click for more details...

WAH WAH STOCK & DOMESTIC PIPELINE PROJECT
A project in the NSW Within Hay. Construction of the Gunbar Water pipeline, a key component of the Wah Wah Stock & Domestic pipeline. The Gunbar Water Pipeline comprises: 280 km of PVC-O and PE Class PN16 pipelines from DN300 to DN50; a pumping station on the Murrumbidgee River; a booster pumping station; 42 metered farm outlets & 12 stock watering points along Riverina Local Land Services travelling stock routes. The Wah Wah Stock and Domestic Pipeline will help to improve the efficiency and productivity of water use, in exchange for the transfer of water entitlements to the Australian Government for environmental use. The project covers some 310,000 hectares in Hay and Carrathool Shires; the nearest towns are Hay, Carrathool, Goolgowi and Booligal. Click for more details...
