CITY OF MURRAY BRIDGE STORMWATER DISTRIBUTION PIPELINE
Civil Engineering (Pipelines) project at Various locations within Council, Murray Bridge, SA 5253 of Pipelines - Design & Construct type of New development. The Rural City of Murray Bridge is committed to reducing its reliance on the River Murray & potable water, & has recently invested in the development of an Integrated Water Management Plan (IWMP) for the region (SKM, 2011). The IWMP is aimed at providing for the sustainable, resilient development of Murray Bri dge, Callington, Mypolonga, Jervois & Wellington through the identification of ?fit for purpose? water supplies for council, residential, commercial, agricultural & industrial uses. Furthermore, the plan seeks to maintain & enhance the valued amenity & open space features of these towns while protecting & restoring the local environment. As part of their IWMP, the council identified stormwater harvesting as a means for reducing reliance on the River Murray through the provision of source water for irrigation. Recent advances in water reuse best practice & the successful implementation of significant stormwater & wastewater harvesting schemes by other councils within South Australia, have highlighted the potential for council to strengthen its focus on harvesting, reuse & water sensitive urban design (WSUD). Furthermore, with the rezoning of Gifford Hill in June 2010, there is a new imperative for Council to expand the geographic scope of stormwater management infrastructure planning. The project objectives are to construct a stormwater management & distribution scheme to supply a non-potable source of water to the township of Murray Bridge & its surrounds, including Gifford Hill. The scope for the design & construct contract for the pipelines within the council stormwater harvesting & reuse scheme is to include detailed design, supply & install of all collection & distribution mains, fittings, valves, thrust blocks, anchors & all associated civil works for the following pipelines: Distribution main from Narooma Wetland to existing Council irrigation main (500m of 225mm PE PN12.5); collection main from Howard Road basin to Golf course to Gifford Hill collection main (200m of 225mm PE PN12.5; collection main from Golf course to Gifford Hill Wetland (3300m of 280mm PE PN12.5); transfer main from Gifford Hill Wetland to Gifford Hill Storage Lagoon (1300m of 280mm PE PN12.5); distribution Main from Gifford Hill Storage to Golf Course (4300m of 355mm PE PN12.5); distribution main from Golf course to existing Adelaide Road Council irrigation main (1100m of 355mm PE PN12.5); distribution main connection from Adelaide Rd Council irrigation main to Christian Reserve (125mm PE PN12.5). WIRRABARA COMMUNITY WASTEWATER MANAGEMENT SYSTEM
Civil Engineering (Pipelines) New project at Wilds Rd, Wirrabara, SA 5481. This type is Civil Works For Wastewater Management System with Local Govt ownership. Tenders are invited for the construction of the collection network for the Wirrabara Community Wastewater Management System (the Works). The allotments within the township of Wirrabara are currently serviced by individual septic tanks, whereby wastewater is disposed of on site. A Community Wastewater Management System is to be installed in the town. Full sewage will be collected from allotments & transferred to a new Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP) on Wilds Rd at the old dump site. (Note that the design & construction of the WWTP is a separate contract.) The WWTP will collect sewage from approximately 200 connections within the town & treat it to produce Class B quality recycled water. The plant is estimated to have an average daily flow (ADF) of 80 kL/day. The following list indicates the main elements of the Works sufficient to ensure that the Tenderer is aware of the scope of the Tender. It does not detail duties, actions or items of supply on minor works which are self-evident or inherent to the satisfactory completion of the scheme as described in the tender documents. Preliminaries: This includes: 1) Site establishment (including the transportation of all personnel, plant & materials to & from the site & the provision of temporary site accommodation); 2) Quality control & quality assurance; 3) Obtaining all licenses & payment of fees where required for conduct of the Works & compliance with all regulations relating to the Works; 4) Environmental controls management; 5) Traffic management; 6) All setting out of works & survey for identifying boundary locations, connection points, temporary bench marks, etc; 7) Survey for property boundaries in all easements; 8) Service locating & depthing; 9) Consultation with all authorities regarding work around existing services; 10) Site security; 11) Site office (including the provision of all personnel, facilities & amenities for the administration of the works of the scheme including temporary connections to Telstra/NBN, SA Power Networks & SA Water); 12) Pegging of connection points; 13) As constructed drawings; 14) Dilapidation reports; 15) Line flushing; 16) Hydraulic testing; 17) Air Testing; 18) Compaction testing of trench backfill; 19) PC inspections & end of defects inspections; 20) Operations Manuals; 21) Site Meetings. Property Connections: Supply & Install 100mm diameter uPVC DWV Class SN6 pipe to form approximately 200 property connections, including inspection points & all other associated fittings, laid at the locations & levels shown on the supplied Drawings. The Tenderer shall place timber marking pickets for each new property connection as per the design drawings prior to any construction. All requests for connection relocations are to be approved by the Superintendent. The Tenderer is to locate & relocate any water connections that clash with the network design. Gravity Drains - Supply & Install approximately 6620 metres of 150mm diameter uPVC DWV Class SN4 pipe, including all maintenance shafts & maintenance holes plus other standard &/or special fittings including direction boring, laid at the locations & grade shown on the drawings. Pump Stations - Construct one new pump station. Rising Mains - Supply & Install 80mm diameter rising main, including air bleed valves, scour valves, thrust blocks & other fittings, along with marker posts, laid at the locations & depth shown on the drawings. The Tenderer shall also supply & install all valves & pipework from the interface with the WWTP civil contractor as shown on the drawings. Tenders are invited for the design & construction of the wastewater treatment plant (WWTP) for the Wirrabara Community Wastewater Management System. The following list indicates the main elements of the Works sufficient to ensure that the Tenderer is aware of the cope of the Tender. It does not detail duties, actions or items of supply on minor works which are self-evident or inherent to the satisfactory completion of the scheme as described in the tender documents. The tender as detailed below shall comprise the whole of the Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP) for the Wirrabara Community Wastewater Management System (CWMS), including labour & materials necessary to execute the Works described in this specification & shown on the drawings, including any obvious items for the property completion of the work comprising: Preliminaries: 1) All site establishment costs; 2) Obtaining all licenses & payment of fees where required for conduct of the Works & compliance with all regulations relating to the Works; 3) Provision for quality control & assurance, environmental controls & traffic management; 4) All setting out of the Works, including locating services, temporary bench marks, etc; 5) Service locating & depthing; 6) Compaction testing & air testing; 7) Provision for all site security; 8) The transportation of all personnel, plant & materials to & from the site; 9) Provision of temporary site accommodation if required; 10) Provision of all personnel, facilities & amenities for the administration of the Works of the scheme; 11) Provision of office facilities for the Superintendents Representative for the duration of the Works; 12) As constructed drawings; 13) Operations Manuals; 14) Practical Completion inspections & End of Defects Inspections; 15) Site Meetings. Wastewater Treatment Plant - An extended aeration or other approved WWTP & sludge dewatering, as specified to treat the types & volumes of wastewater(s) to the minimum standard specified. Site Security Fence - Around the perimeter of the WWTP site. Civil Works - Site works, bunding, drainage, hardstands as required to install & access the plant & access road to the pad. Not bulk earthworks for lagoon by others. Control Shed - Supply & Installation of a colorbond shed to house filter, disinfection equipment, control panels, spare parts, distribution boards etc., required for the WWTP. The control shed shall contain one roller door & two personal access doors. Internal thermal insulation & roof ventilation (whirly bird) shall be provided. Chlorine Disinfection Systems: Supply, installation & commissioning of a packaged chlorine disinfection system within the treatment station to achieve a Class B water quality in accordance with the South Australian Recycled Water Guidelines issued by the South Australian Department of Health & Ageing (DHA) & Environment Protection Authority (EPA). Ancillary Works - All associated pipework, fittings, electrical reticulation, control, monitoring & alarm systems, telecommunication facilities & other items as required for the complete & full operation of the treatment facilities as specified herein & as required for the particular facilities as proposed by the Tenderer. Power Supply - The Tenderer shall be responsible for engaging SA Power Networks (SAPN) to connect single phase power to the site. Note that three phase power supply will not be available. PROOF & EXPERIMENTAL ESTABISHMENT (P&EE) WATER INFRASTRUCTURE WORKS
Civil Engineering (Pipelines) project In The Wakefield Council Area of Water Supply Pipeline type. The construction of a new buried water supply pipeline from the South Australian Water Main on Port Wakefield Road to the Port Wakefield Proof & Experimental Establishment Base on Proof Range Road. The scope includes: a new buried transfer main along Port Wakefield Road & Proof Range Road including all works necessary to complete the construction installation, testing & commissioning of the pipeline, valves, fittings, ancillaries, thrust blocks & supports, backfill & reinstatement. Approx 6.9 km of buried DN100 PN16 meter polyvinyl chloride (mPVC) transfer main with rubber ring joints; approx 300 m of buried DN63 PE100 PN12.5 high density polyethylene (HDPE) with electrofusion jointing for the branch offtake to environmental Testing Facility (ETF) from the new transfer main.
