Involves the placement of 450,000 cubic metres approx of locally quarried rock on the trunkline to stabilise it on the seabed. The rock will be placed over the trunkline for the first 30 km from shore, as well as around the concrete gravity anchors in the deepwater section. PILBARA TO GOLDFIELDS GAS TRANSMISSION
Oil & Gas (Pipelines & associated contracts) project at Pilbara Region to Goldfields, WA 6999 for New. Natural gas to be piped approximately 1,400 km underground from the off-shore North-West Shelf gasfields to Kalgoorlie and surrounding centres. Construction of the pipeline will be in three stages. In August 1995 one crew will begin to lay 310 km of pipe at Yaraloola, south of Dampier in the Pilbara, then pass south-east of Paraburdoo through to a point south-west of Newman by January 1996. This section of pipe will be 400 mm diameter. A second crew will commence in September 1995 on a 670 km section to run from near Newman to Mt Keith via Wiluna. Once work on the Yaraloola to Newman section is complete, the crew will start working north from Kalgoorlie in January 1996 and the two teams will meet at Mt Keith, 400 km away, in June 1996. The section from Newman to Kalgoorlie will have a 350 mm diameter. The first gas should be supplied to the Eastern Goldfields by August 1996. The pipeline will require two compressor stations to handle the initial capacity of about 70 tjs per day. With additional compression, the future load can be expanded up to 160 tjs per day. Main pipelaying will be followed by installation of compressor stations at Yaraloola, Ilgarari and possibly Paraburdoo and Leinster. Click for more details...

ANGEL GAS PROJECT - JACKET/PIPELINE INSTALLATION CONTRACT
Private ownership Oil & Gas (Pipelines & associated contracts) project In The Dampier Sub Basin Council Area for New development. The contract comprises the substructure and pipeline installation of a 7500 MT jacket and piles by J.Ray's launch barge, the Intermac 650, from a fabrication yard in China to the offshore installation site as well as the launch, upend, and set down of the jacket. One of J Ray's marine vessels will install the jackets and pipelines. Pipeline work will involve the installation of an 80 mile x 30 inch pipeline from the first trunk-line and the installation of three infield 14 inch CRA pipelines.
