QUEECHY SEWAGE PUMPING STATION

The scope of works under this contract includes the supply, delivery and installation of all materials for the construction of a new rising main, approximately 2 km long, linking the proposed new Queechy Pumping Station to Holbers Bridge Wastewater Treatment Plant. The new rising main is to be a 450 OD, PE 100, PN 10 butt fusion welded pipeline installed below ground surface in varying soil conditions. COLLIE RIVER EAST COOLANGATTA FARM GAUGING STATION

Works to include the upgrading of the Coolangatta Farm Gauging Station located approx 11 km east northeast from the Collie town site. The site began operation in 1968 measuring stream flow & water quality from the East Branch of the Collie River, which provides the majority of the water yield into the Wellington Dam. Flow & water quality data collected at this site is used for: Management of , & research for reduction of, river salinity; Surface water allocation on the Collie River; Flood warning for the Collie town site. The gauging station consists of a concrete weir, to provide a stable & consistent cross section for controlling the water flow, & a floatwell for transmitting the outside water level to instrumentation installed above the maximum water level. WODONGA PUMP STATION
Currently at the Tenders & Building stage In Wodonga is a project estimated to be $ 200000. This project Design, supply and construction of additional pump for Wodonga No 1 Pump Station, Wodonga. Wodonga No. 1 Pump Station is a critical pump station in the Wodonga sewage network. The station consists of an inlet into two wet wells from which three pumps feed into three rising mains, two 300 mm and one 450 mm. The maximum capacity of the station is 330 l/s. Following recent wet weather events North East Water (NEW) has found the requirement to retrofit a permanent diesel pump to the pump station. The pump shall have suction from wet well 1 and feed into the 450 mm rising main. The pump shall be connected to the existing control system and automatically start at a high level in the wet wells. CITY OF MURRAY BRIDGE EARLY CONTRACTOR INVOLVEMENT STORMWATER SCHEME
Pump Stations/Mechanical/Electrical & Controls - Design/Supply/Install project at Various locations within Council, Murray Bridge, SA 5253 in the Public Utilities (Pumping Stations). The Rural City of Murray Bridge is committed to reducing its reliance on the River Murray & potable water, & has recently invested in the development of an Integrated Water Management Plan (IWMP) for the region (SKM, 2011). The IWMP is aimed at providing for the sustainable, resilient development of Murray Bri dge, Callington, Mypolonga, Jervois & Wellington through the identification of fit for purpose water supplies for council, residential, commercial, agricultural & industrial uses. Furthermore, the plan seeks to maintain & enhance the valued amenity & open space features of these towns while protecting & restoring the local environment. As part of their IWMP, the council identified stormwater harvesting as a means for reducing reliance on the River Murray through the provision of source water for irrigation. Recent advances in water reuse best practice & the successful implementation of significant stormwater & wastewater harvesting schemes by other councils within South Australia, have highlighted the potential for council to strengthen its focus on harvesting, reuse & water sensitive urban design (WSUD). Furthermore, with the rezoning of Gifford Hill in June 2010, there is a new imperative for Council to expand the geographic scope of stormwater management infrastructure planning. The project objectives are to construct a stormwater management & distribution scheme to supply a non-potable source of water to the township of Murray Bridge & its surrounds, including Gifford Hill. The scope for the Early Contractor Involvement (ECI) is for the design of the mechanical, electrical & integrated communication & control (M&E ICC) components of the project & includes all structures, equipment, pipe-work, fitting, valves, supports, anchors, power supply, instrumentation, controls, SCADA, wiring & all other works & equipment for fully functional, automatically operated system. In addition, the contractor will be required to liaise with Council to integrate Councils irrigation system which is currently supplied by Murray River water. The ECI services for the project shall include, but are not limited to the following: liaise with council to develop ECI deliverables; develop the control philosophy for the scheme; participate in workshops, meetings, approvals process & public consultations; review council?s existing irrigation & controls system; preparation & review of cost estimates at key stages of design; prepare & submit the following ECI deliverables: site investigation report, concept design options report, control philosophy report, risk management report, functional design report, construction program,HAZOP report, piping & instrumentation drawings (P&IDs), single line diagrams, calculations & design report, tender drawings, equipment schedules, mechanical & electrical specifications, construction cost estimate & construction offer. MERSEY ROAD PUMP STATION ELECTRICAL UPGRADE
Electrical Works - Pump Station project at Mersey Road, Taperoo, SA 5017 in the Public Utilities (Pumping Stations). The Principal owns & operates a storm water pumping station located on Mersey Rd, Taperoo. The pumping station comprises five pumps driven by electric motors. Power is supplied from an adjacent SA Power Networks (SAPN) transformer; a diesel generator provides back-up power for up to three pumps. The existing control switchgear is some 40 year old & of a pattern which is now considered to both compromise reliability & the safety of operators. This project replaces the obsolete switchgear & makes modification to the generator controls to suit. Scope of Work: The electrical works for the transfer pumps shall include the following: 1) Detail design of the switchboard extension & the pump motor starter cubicles; 2) Detail design of control system interfaces; 3) Procurement of all equipment & materials; 4) Testing & commissioning of the works; 5) Generator control modifications; 6) Generator fuel level monitoring & low level alarm; 7) Cabling to pump motors; 8) Control cables from pump starts to MultiTrode panel; 9) Modification to control algorithm to incorporate new features as specified herein; 10) Removal & disposal of existing pump starters; 11) Commissioning & testing; 12) As-built & shop drawings; 13) Provision of Certificates of Compliance in accordance with Regulations of the Electricity Act of SA. 14) Operation & maintenance manuals. Limits of Work: The works shall be complete & fully functional between the termination points as follows: a) Load side bus bars of transfer contactor set; b) Pump motor terminals; c) Current transformers in motor circuits; d) Terminal strip in Multi-Trade panel; e) Control terminals on generator; f) Fuel tank on generator. The Contractor shall arrange the works to minimise the down time of the pumping station. Typical planning might include the installation, connection & testing of the soft starters before demolition of the existing starters installation of all cables or other means of minimising down time. The shutting down of the pumping station where immediate reinstatement is not available, shall be coordinated with the Superintendent & Principal. Click for more details...
