The townships of Moonta, Moonta Bay & Port Hughes are located on the Yorke Peninsula of South Australia, approximately 165 kilometres north-northwest of the state capital of Adelaide. The District Council of the Copper Coast have commenced the installation of a Community Wastewater Management Scheme (CWMS) to serve the three townships, which contain an approximate total of 3,500 residences plus commercial properties & community facilities. The project has been divided into two construction stages for the installation of gravity drains, property connections, rising mains & pump stations, with stage 1 due for completion early 2014. Stage 1 includes part of Moonta Bay & stage 2 includes the remaining part of Moonta Bay, Port Hughes, Moonta Proper & North Moonta. This tender is for the construction works of stage 2. CITY OF MURRAY BRIDGE EARLY CONTRACTOR INVOLVEMENT STORMWATER SCHEME
Pump Stations/Mechanical/Electrical & Controls - Design/Supply/Install project at Various locations within Council, Murray Bridge, SA 5253 in the Public Utilities (Pumping Stations). The Rural City of Murray Bridge is committed to reducing its reliance on the River Murray & potable water, & has recently invested in the development of an Integrated Water Management Plan (IWMP) for the region (SKM, 2011). The IWMP is aimed at providing for the sustainable, resilient development of Murray Bri dge, Callington, Mypolonga, Jervois & Wellington through the identification of fit for purpose water supplies for council, residential, commercial, agricultural & industrial uses. Furthermore, the plan seeks to maintain & enhance the valued amenity & open space features of these towns while protecting & restoring the local environment. As part of their IWMP, the council identified stormwater harvesting as a means for reducing reliance on the River Murray through the provision of source water for irrigation. Recent advances in water reuse best practice & the successful implementation of significant stormwater & wastewater harvesting schemes by other councils within South Australia, have highlighted the potential for council to strengthen its focus on harvesting, reuse & water sensitive urban design (WSUD). Furthermore, with the rezoning of Gifford Hill in June 2010, there is a new imperative for Council to expand the geographic scope of stormwater management infrastructure planning. The project objectives are to construct a stormwater management & distribution scheme to supply a non-potable source of water to the township of Murray Bridge & its surrounds, including Gifford Hill. The scope for the Early Contractor Involvement (ECI) is for the design of the mechanical, electrical & integrated communication & control (M&E ICC) components of the project & includes all structures, equipment, pipe-work, fitting, valves, supports, anchors, power supply, instrumentation, controls, SCADA, wiring & all other works & equipment for fully functional, automatically operated system. In addition, the contractor will be required to liaise with Council to integrate Councils irrigation system which is currently supplied by Murray River water. MOUNT COMPASS COMMUNITY WASTEWATER MANAGEMENT SYSTEM
Public Utilities (Pumping Stations) project for New development. The township of Mt Compass is located approximately 60km south of Adelaide on Victor Harbor Rd. The township consists of approximately 400 houses & a small commercial area. Wastewater is collected by a system of gravity drains, pump stations & rising mains. Wastewater, which includes septic tank effluent & full sewer, is currently discharged to the wastewater treatment plant located at Sand Mine Rd. The existing plant has reached its capacity & a new plant has to be constructed. A storage lagoon to discharge the treated effluent & to balance water for reuse has been recently installed at an old mine site west of the existing treatment plant. Project will deliver a reuse water balance lagoon to buffer additional flows from this expansion. The Principal invites tenders from Tenderers for the provision of the Wastewater Treatment Plant at Mount Compass. The project will deliver the Wastewater Treatment Plant at Mount Compass as part of the Mount Compass Community Wastewater Management System (CWMS). WIRRABARA COMMUNITY WASTEWATER MANAGEMENT SYSTEM

Tenders are invited for the construction of the collection network for the Wirrabara Community Wastewater Management System (the Works). The allotments within the township of Wirrabara are currently serviced by individual septic tanks, whereby wastewater is disposed of on site. A Community Wastewater Management System is to be installed in the town. Full sewage will be collected from allotments & transferred to a new Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP) on Wilds Rd at the old dump site. (Note that the design & construction of the WWTP is a separate contract.) The WWTP will collect sewage from approximately 200 connections within the town & treat it to produce Class B quality recycled water. The plant is estimated to have an average daily flow (ADF) of 80 kL/day. The following list indicates the main elements of the Works sufficient to ensure that the Tenderer is aware of the scope of the Tender. It does not detail duties, actions or items of supply on minor works which are self-evident or inherent to the satisfactory completion of the scheme as described in the tender documents. The Principal invites tenders for the provision of services relating to manhole & pump station rehabilitation. Council is seeking work to be undertaken on approximately 30 existing manholes & 2 pump stations within the townships of Goolwa, Port Elliot & Strathalbyn which in the main are to be rehabilitated to provide a new smooth, durable & watertight internal surface. some manholes will also require lid replacement, ladder removal & condition assessment. This work forms part of Alexandrina Councils SWMS Asset Management Plan for the 2015/16 financial year. The Tenderer is to provide a warranty against the breakdown or failure of the workmanship of the surfacing treatment applied to the manholes. MERSEY ROAD PUMP STATION ELECTRICAL UPGRADE
Electrical Works - Pump Station project at Mersey Road, Taperoo, SA 5017 in the Public Utilities (Pumping Stations). The Principal owns & operates a storm water pumping station located on Mersey Rd, Taperoo. The pumping station comprises five pumps driven by electric motors. Power is supplied from an adjacent SA Power Networks (SAPN) transformer; a diesel generator provides back-up power for up to three pumps. The existing control switchgear is some 40 year old & of a pattern which is now considered to both compromise reliability & the safety of operators. This project replaces the obsolete switchgear & makes modification to the generator controls to suit. Scope of Work: The electrical works for the transfer pumps shall include the following: 1) Detail design of the switchboard extension & the pump motor starter cubicles; 2) Detail design of control system interfaces; 3) Procurement of all equipment & materials; 4) Testing & commissioning of the works; 5) Generator control modifications; 6) Generator fuel level monitoring & low level alarm; 7) Cabling to pump motors; 8) Control cables from pump starts to MultiTrode panel; 9) Modification to control algorithm to incorporate new features as specified herein; 10) Removal & disposal of existing pump starters; 11) Commissioning & testing; 12) As-built & shop drawings; 13) Provision of Certificates of Compliance in accordance with Regulations of the Electricity Act of SA. 14) Operation & maintenance manuals. Limits of Work: The works shall be complete & fully functional between the termination points as follows: a) Load side bus bars of transfer contactor set; b) Pump motor terminals; c) Current transformers in motor circuits; d) Terminal strip in Multi-Trade panel; e) Control terminals on generator; f) Fuel tank on generator. The Contractor shall arrange the works to minimise the down time of the pumping station. Typical planning might include the installation, connection & testing of the soft starters before demolition of the existing starters installation of all cables or other means of minimising down time. WELLINGTON STREET STORMWATER PUMP STATION WORKS

This project The Principal invites tenders for the following: Project Description: Council owns & operates the Wellington Street stormwater pump station, which was constructed in the early 1970s. The pump station includes one pump with a DN300 pipework outlet (Pump 1) & two pumps with DN600 pipework outlets (Pump 2 & Pump 3). These pumps discharge into a DN1000 (1016mm OD) manifold. This existing manifold, which is part of the original installation, is made of mild steel pipework & has reached the end of its design life. council has resolved to replace the manifold, inclusive of the manifold supports & branch non-return valve supports. A new valved bypass inlet & new DN300 non-return valve is also to be provided. The work is to include construction of the bypass inlet with temporary connection of the Pump 1 discharge to allow for a reduced pumping capacity to be retained by the pump station as the main manifold is replaced.
