This project The scope of works under this contract includes the supply, delivery and installation of all materials and equipment for the construction of a new sewage pumping station and covered storage that will pump flow (via a new rising main) to Hoblers Bridge Wastewater Treatment Plant. The pumping station and covered storage will include a below ground circular concrete structure divided into multiple chambers, installation of inlet and outlet pipework, three 22kw (approximate) variable speed pumps, pumping equipment, control systems, flushing systems, mechanical ventilation and an architecturally designed above ground control building. Two DN 375 Ductile iron cement lined, rubber ring, jointed PN 35 pipelines installed below ground and two 450 OD, PE 100, PN 10 butt fusion welded pipelines installed below ground surface that connect to a new PE rising main (installed under separate contract) to the existing Norwood Rising Main. A flowmeter and valve pit complete with two electromagnetic flow meters, actuated valves and control systems. Upgrading power supply and water supply to the site. A new access road to the pumping station. Significant earthworks and rock retaining walls. Landscaping of the site. QUEECHY SEWAGE PUMPING STATION
Public Utilities (Pumping Stations) project at Corner Queechy and Penquite Roads, Norwood, TAS 7250 for New. The scope of works under this contract includes the supply, delivery and installation of all materials for the construction of a new rising main, approximately 2 km long, linking the proposed new Queechy Pumping Station to Holbers Bridge Wastewater Treatment Plant. The new rising main is to be a 450 OD, PE 100, PN 10 butt fusion welded pipeline installed below ground surface in varying soil conditions. A DN 375 ductile tron cement lined, rubber ring jointed PN 35 pipeline installed at two above ground locations (attached to existing bridges that cross the North Esk River) The installation requires a number of sections to be installed using the thrust boring method (under railway lines and road pavements) The work also involves the installation of an interconnection pipeline, approximately 160 metres, linking the new rising main with the existing Norwood Rising Main and the installation of two interconnection pipelines that will link the new rising main with the existing Killafaddy Pumping Station. This project Construction of a new rising main, a new gravity main and other associated works, required as part of the construction of a new bulk water supply system that will supply potable water from the Forth Water Treatment Plant and to the Paloona Water Supply System. The works include but are not necessarily limited to the following, construction of a new DN 375 PN 35 DICL rising main (approx 3700m) using pipes, valves and fittings issued free by the principal to the contractor. Associated works include, modification of the existing pumping station building and pipeline manifold to accommodate the installation of the new rising main, construction of a new reinforced concrete flow meter pit, aerial crossings to carry the pipeline across waterways, scour and air valve pits and property connection(s). The rising main will interface with two new pumps in the Pumping Station Building at the Forth Water Treatment Plant and the new pipe work at the Forthside Hill Reservoir. Construction of a new DN 300stormwater pipeline. Construction of a new DN 450 PN 20 DICL gravity main (approx 5200m) using pipes, valves and fittings issued free by the principal to the contractor. Associated works include, aerial crossings to carry the pipeline across waterways, construction of a new reinforced concrete flow control valve pit, scour, air valve, fore hydrant and property connections, connection to the existing Paloona Trunk main. The Gravity main will interface with new pipe work at the proposed Forthside Hill reservoir (to be constructed under separate contract). Click for more details...

SOUTHERN HIGHLANDS IRRIGATION SCHEME

The Southern Highlands Irrigation Scheme (SHIS) is one of five schemes which comprises Tasmanian Irrigation?s (TI) second suite of schemes known as ?Tranche Two?. The SHIS will deliver 7,215 ML of high reliability irrigation water from a holding dam approximately 17km north-west of Bothwell to scheme participants via a 58km underground pipeline distribution network. Stripping of the embankment footprint & excavation of the keyway of Southernfield Dam. Construction of Shannon River Pump Station to be located to the south of Waddamana Road on the banks of the Shannon River. Construction of 1MW pump station & construction of the access road. Construction of 58km-long scheme distribution pipeline to run from Waddamana Road, south to Bothwell and on to Hollow Tree. The pipe diameter will range from DN180mm up to DN710mm. Pipeline spurs will provide water to farms along Nant Lane and to the east of Bothwell along Highland Lakes Road. Two small booster pump stations are required in the scheme.
