PILBARA IRON ORE & INFRASTRUCTURE PROJECT - RAIL INFRASTRUCTURE
Rail Infrastructure New project In The Port Hedland Council Area. Feasibility study has recommended a a 255 km railway line from Cloud Break to Port Headland port facility. A mine load out facility will be located at Cloud Break. There will be four train sets each comprising two locomotives and two hundred wagons. Supporting infrastructure will include sidings, passing bays and loading loops, train loader, temporary construction facilities, temporary track camps, administration offices and warehouses, trip servicing facilities, service and repair workshop, rail maintenance track, rail loops and marshalling yards, maintenance facilities, substations and communication systems. The proposed line does deviate where there are environmental, heritage and engineering constraints. Stage A PER covers the Port and North to South rail line. Exansion Of Capacity New project In The City Of Karratha Council Area. An expansion of capacity from 74 Mtpa to 116 Mtpa. The focus of the upgrade is the Parker Point Terminal. The proposal includes the following: a new twin cell rotary car dumper and associated rail track; two new stackers and a new reclaimer: a new lump re-screening house; additional live blending stockpiles; relocation of bulk stockpiles; extension of the existing wharf to include a second berth and improved wharf access; upgrade of the existing shiploader at the new berth; creation of a seawall and land reclamation; and additional dust control measures. MARILLANA CREEK MINE EXPANSION - YANDI - IRON ORE RESOURCE
Resource - Iron Ore project at 90 km north west of, Newman, WA 6753 In The Council Area Of East Pilbara of Private. Total resource body is estimated at 1420 million wet tonnes. Production is expected to increase from an existing 34 Mtpa to 45 Mtpa. Proposal for the expansion include, open cut mining of the overburden and ore, dewatering of the orebody during mining operations. Overburden will be placed in mine voids and out of pit storage areas. Infrastructure for the processing, loading and transportation of ore will be provided by two rail loading stockpiles/loops and railed from site to Port headland for shipping. Supply and distribution of power and raw materials will a be provided by on site diesel generators. Future power demands are expected to be met by the Newman gas fired station via connecting overhead transmission line. A new sewage facility known as Packsaddle Village Sewage Treatment Plant will be constructed. Existing infrastructure facilities at the mine site like main access roads, workshops, administration areas, accommodation village and airstrips will be used. Coal Terminal - Stage 3/2f project at Cormorant Rd (Lots 6-7 DP4015754 Lot 20 DP252325) Kooragang Island, Kooragang, NSW 2304 in the Mining - Civil Services (Rail loops, Track work, Signalling, Rolling stock, Switching yards). The main activities associated with the development of the Newcastle Infrastructure Group Coal Export Terminal would include: dredging of three berths in the south arm of the Hunter River to construct a serviceable port for the export of coal; reuse of dredged sands as preload and engineering fill for construction; disposal of unsuitable dredged sediments at sea in accordance with relevant sea dumping permits; construction of wharf facilities and ship loaders; construction of a Coal Storage Area including coal stockpiles, transfer stations, conveyors, stackers and reclaimers; remediation works including capping of selected areas of the existing Kooragang Island Waste Facility for the development of the rail spur and rail loops; construction of a rail spur and two rail loops, road/rail overpasses, unloading stations and connecting conveyors; installation of power supply, reticulation and control systems; development of access roads and internal roads; development of water management infrastructure including site drainage works, collection ponds and stockpile spray system; and construction of administration and workshop buildings.The plant capacity is designed for up to 66Mtpa, and will be built in 3 stages with the initial stage for 33Mtpa. The plant is to provide three services: (1) receival of coal by rail and stacking the coal out (2) storage and blending of coal in the stockyard, and (3) reclaiming coal and loading it onto ships. 75 Km Northwest of, Newman, WA 6753 Has Hope Downs Iron Ore Project - Processing Plant currently at Construction stage. A crush and screen process plant. The plant will initially process 22 Mta of dry iron ore with expansion later on to process 30 Mta of dry iron ore. The process plant will comprise a primary crusher in a processing circuit that incorporates screens that will seperate the oversized ore. The primary ore will then be crushed a second time and fed to seperate lump and fine products. These will be stockpiled for train loading by conveyor belts and travelling luffing stackers. Ore to be transported by conveyor to one of 2 new wet processing plants with a combined capacity of 45 million tonne per annum (Mtpa). Construction also north of Nammuldi of a new rail loop & stockyards to link to the existing Brockman 2 spur for export through either Cape Lambert or Dampier. Associated infrastructure to include explosives storage, workshops (fabrication, heavy vehicle maintenance), offices, packaged water treatment plants, lay down areas, warehousing, a fuel storage tank with refuelling aprons & a concrete batching plant during construction. New 33kV power lines to be connected to the existing system. Construction also of a sealed access road to provide an all-weather traffic route from Tom Price to Silvergrass via Brockman 2 & Nammuldi. CAVAL RIDGE COAL PROJECT - COAL PREPARATION PLANT & RAIL FACILITIES
Mining - Civil Services (Rail loops, Track work, Signalling, Rolling stock, Switching yards) project at 16km south of, Moranbah, QLD 4744 of Coal Preparation Plant/Rail Loadout/Conveyor/Roads type of New development. The proposed Caval Ridge CHPP will have a nominal feed capacity of 2 000 t/h and is capable of processing 14-16 Mt/a to produce a nominal 8 Mt/a of hard coking coal, 5.5 Mt/a of which will be sourced from the Caval Ridge Mine & the balance to come by conveyor from the expanded Peak Downs mine. The facility shall operate seven days per week on a continuous basis. The CHPP will consist of: ROM dump hopper for primary sizing; secondary and tertiary sizers with intermediate screening; raw coal stockpiles with mechanised stacking and reclaim facilities; 2 module coal preparation plant, nominally 1000 tph, per module; product coal stockpiles with mechanised stacking and reclaim facilities; train loadout to the north of the Peak Downs Highway, a conveyor will transport material crossing the highway; reject bin and handling system and ultrafine tailings dewatering system. Water supply to be a combination of site water reuse & a raw water supply via a new off take pipeline from existing bulk pipelines. Process plant water will be recycled to minimise raw water make-up requirements for the site.
