PILBARA IRON ORE & INFRASTRUCTURE PROJECT - RAIL INFRASTRUCTURE
Rail Infrastructure New project In The Port Hedland Council Area. Feasibility study has recommended a a 255 km railway line from Cloud Break to Port Headland port facility. A mine load out facility will be located at Cloud Break. There will be four train sets each comprising two locomotives and two hundred wagons. MARILLANA CREEK MINE EXPANSION - YANDI - IRON ORE RESOURCE
Resource - Iron Ore project at 90 km north west of, Newman, WA 6753 In The Council Area Of East Pilbara of Private. Total resource body is estimated at 1420 million wet tonnes. Production is expected to increase from an existing 34 Mtpa to 45 Mtpa. Proposal for the expansion include, open cut mining of the overburden and ore, dewatering of the orebody during mining operations. Overburden will be placed in mine voids and out of pit storage areas. Infrastructure for the processing, loading and transportation of ore will be provided by two rail loading stockpiles/loops and railed from site to Port headland for shipping. Supply and distribution of power and raw materials will a be provided by on site diesel generators. Future power demands are expected to be met by the Newman gas fired station via connecting overhead transmission line. A new sewage facility known as Packsaddle Village Sewage Treatment Plant will be constructed. FIMISTON GOLD MINE OPERATIONS EXTENSION STAGE 3
Gold Mine Expansion project at Goldfields Highway Via, Kalgoorlie, WA 6430 In The Council Area Of Kalgoorlie-Boulder of Private. Development will comprise the expansion of the open pit, waste rock dumps and Tailings Storage Facility (TSF). The open pit expansion known as the Golden Pike Cutback will be widened and deepened to approx 670 metres and therby extending the life of the mine until 2017. The Golden Pike Cutback is estimated to hold 2 million ounces of gold. There a number of options for tailings disposal. Option preferred is to heighten the level of the two existing TSF from 30 metres to 40 metres. Other options include recommissioning the Kaltails TSF or constructing Fiminsto 3 TSF. This would cover an area of 150 hectares and would comprise associated infrastructure such as roads and recant ponds. HOPE DOWNS IRON ORE PROJECT - PROCESSING PLANT
75 Km Northwest of, Newman, WA 6753 Has Hope Downs Iron Ore Project - Processing Plant currently at Construction stage. A crush and screen process plant. The plant will initially process 22 Mta of dry iron ore with expansion later on to process 30 Mta of dry iron ore. The process plant will comprise a primary crusher in a processing circuit that incorporates screens that will seperate the oversized ore. The primary ore will then be crushed a second time and fed to seperate lump and fine products. These will be stockpiled for train loading by conveyor belts and travelling luffing stackers. The first three types of ore will be conveyed to the train loading station and shipped to Port Hedland. The low grade will be stockpiled for the future when the Christmas Creek Beneficiation Plant is constructed. Operating facilities at the plant will comprise a Sample Tester, Plant/Workshop store, Communication Tower, High Voltage Switchyard, Sewage Treatment Plant, Potable Water Plant including a Water Tank, Temporary Diesel Power Station, Control Room, Workshops, Laboratories, Amenities area, OPP Administration area including a Store, Laboratory, Emergency Response Centre and Administration building, Mining administration area, Car Parks, two Fuel Farms and a Vehicle Washdown Facility including a washdown slab and an oil separator and automated facilities. IRON ORE RAPID GROWTH 4 PROJECT - NEWMAN HUB

The RGP4 modifications include the final tie-ins that convert the existing Newman Operations from a production plant producing secondary crushed ore (with a nominal top size of -100mm) to a plant producing shipping quality lump and fines products. The main features of the new tie-in, starting at TS2 are: A new transfer tower, 41SE010, built immediately to the NE of the existing TS2, in line with conveyor M110. This tower is structurally linked to TS2. The tail end of the existing conveyor M110 is removed and replace by a new conveyor. 41CV010, which runs in the opposite direction and discharges ore to a new transfer conveyor, 41CV020, the tail of which is in the new transfer tower 41SE010. Connecting to the existing Newman High Grade (NHG) discharge in TS2 (ore from #2 Plant and Bene Plant product). Construction of a new single rotary cell train car dumping facility, a new crushing and screening plant to include scalping with middlings recirculation to produce sized lump and fines product. Construction of a new blending stockyard 5 x 210kt lump and fines, live and dead including stacking and reclaim machines, to produce a direct-shippable blended lump and fines product. Construction of sampling facilities for reconciliation of production from the various ore sources (NHB and SOB sites) and as-stacked blend control on the stockpiles. Construction of a new drive through train loading (TLO) facility with separate lump and fines sections. Modifications and additional track at the entrance of Newman Hub rail loop and new loco services facility near the existing Hub workshops. Modifications and additional tracks and realingments in the vicinity of the existing OB29 train loading facility for connections to new car dumper and train loading facility. These works include the additional SOBs train by pass line. Deconstruction of PB29 conveyors M301, M309, M311 transfer station TS3, part deconstruction M308 and the removal of the entire OB29 train Load-out facility. The deconstruction works also include removal of sections of existing rail line made redundant by the Newman Hub works. Decommissioning of the existing train load-out stackers No 1 & 2, stacker conveyors M110 and M6 and the existing train loading tunnels (demolition not included in the RGP4 scope). IRON ORE RAPID GROWTH 4 PROJECT - TRAIN LOAD OUT
Iron Ore Rapid Growth 4 Project - Train Load Out is currently at the Planning stage, valued at about $ 100000000 it is The new TLO facility will match the existing train load-out plant for through train capacity at 58Mtpa. The new TLO will comprise a new section of rail passing through a single tunnel that has two loading vaults. Each vault is located under a discrete stockpile, each with a minimum 25,000 live capacity. These stockpiles will be product specific, one for lump and one for fines, to eliminate product cross-contamination. Each stockpile will be built and maintained by a fixed stacker conveyor, fed from the diverter transfer station at the head of the stockyard reclaim conveyor (the transfer station and stacker conveyors are part of work pack 4N0). The conveyors will discharge from fixed cantilever booms. Dust suppression sprays will be mounted at the head of each conveyor discharge. The spray system will be complete with break tank and pumps for the high pressure for the spray canon. The TLO will have dedicated dust extraction/collection and ventilation systems for each of the vaults. Each of the dust systems will comprise dust hoods, ducting, wet scrubbers, extraction fans, seal tank, circulation pumps, sump tanks, pumps and associated pipe work. The complete tunnel with the vaults will have a vault ventilation system complete with fans, ducting, discharge registers and intake silencers. The stockpiles and stacker conveyors will have dust suppression sprays. Process water will be supplied for dust suppression and dust extraction scrubbers. ROY HILL IRON ORE PROJECT - INFRASTRUCTURE - NORTHERN RAIL

It is proposed to develop a railway of approximately 320km to transport iron ore from the Roy Hill 1 mine to facilities at Port Hedland and the proposed Boodarie multiuser stockyard area which is to be vested in the PHPA (Port Hedland Port Authority). The railway proposal includes: a marshalling yard (with associated workshops and maintenance facilities storage and laydown areas, rail welding yard), passing loops and sidings, construction water bores and 'turkeys nest' dams, borrow and ballast areas for construction material, communications cable, towers and signalling system, construciton works accommodation camps and amenities for workers, access roads and construction power supplies. Five train sets will be required to transport 55 Mtpa, with each train consisting of two diesel electric locomotives and 232 iron ore wagons. When spares are included, this will entail a fleet of 17 locomotives and 1790 wagons. Fuel supply trains will require one additional AC locomotive and 12 tanker cars. An unsealed, at-grade access road will run adjacent to and generally parallel to the proposed railway for its entire length, for the purposes of railway access and maintenance. The road pavement width will be approximately 9m wide. Seven sidings are expected to be required along the entire length of the railway to allow trains travelling in opposite directions to pass. Additional sidings called "back-tracks" will be provided on the back to eh passing sidings along the alignment as required to allow removal of 'bad-order' wagons (mechanical fault). Road crossings will be at grade or grade separated in accordance with the requirements of Main Roads of Western Australia. Level crossings on access roads will be protected with signs that comply with this standard. To preserve current land uses in a way that is compatible with the proposed railway, fencing and/or controls will need to be installed at occupational rail crossings, vehicle the paths, livestock grids and in other areas where access requires controlling or restricting. Watercourses crossings will consist of culverts or bridges. Culverts will be used in preference to bridges. For bridges, to provide a simple and efficient method of construction, the design of the rail bridges will be standardised for fast construction requiring a minimum quantity of in situ concrete. The span length proposed is 25m. The construction methodology will be to at 25m intervals drive circular steel pier columns as a "trestle" consisting of three members with the two outer members raking and the central pier column vertical. A heavy hardstand granular pavement is required for installation of piled substructure over the full length of each bridge primarily to provide safe, stable access for heavy plant and equipment. The width of the hardstand on both the upstream and downstream sides of the piers will be approximately 20m, ie a total fo 40m wide. Hardstand will remain in service until superstructure units are placed by heavy cranage. Prefabricated steel headstocks will be lifted into place by a crane and site welded to the pier columns. Decks will consist of prefabricated composite girders or steel through girder construction. The marshalling yard will be adjacent to the main line and will incorporate 10 rail tracks. The site is expected to accommodate a rolling-stock workshop and washdown bay, locomotive provisioning hall, rail infrastructure yard, diesel fuel storage, electrical substation, communications tower, administration building, car parks, potable and wastewater treatment units and fire-water storage and access roads.
