Redevelopment of the existing 'Freeman House' complex, operated by the Society of St Vincent de Paul, for new supportive housing accommodation for the homeless and persons with drug and alcohol dependencies, together with ancillary facilities including community education services. The redeveloped facility would incorporate the following accommodation within a series of new, interconnected 2 storey structures (with the shell of ?Trim?s Store? retained & used principally at ground floor level only); 24 rooms for rehabilitation patients (west wing), including 1 designed for wheelchair access; 10 rooms for crisis accommodation of homeless persons (upper floor of central wing, north of ?Trim?s Store?), 1 designed for wheelchair access; 6 x self-contained residential units (east wing, fronting O?Dell Street), 1 designed for wheelchair access. Construction of a new 30 bed sub acute rehabilitation centre at Woy Woy hospital. Demolish old boiler house & maintenance building. Reconfiguration of the south eastern corner of the existing medical ward building to facilitate a new infrastructure building to accommodate store rooms, a waste storage room, staff & locker room, communications hub room, ancillary store rooms, morgue & outdoor service yard. MORUYA HOSPITAL - REHABILITATION FACILITY
Medical (Rehabilitation Centres, Youth Care Accommodation) project In The Eurobodalla Council Area of Rehabilitation Facility - 2 Storey type. Demolition of part of existing hospital building. Site excavation, benching, & retaining walls. Construction of a 20 bed rehabilitation facility linked via a passage to the existing hospital at ground level. Improvements to the existing Moruya Hospital facility including new footpath from helipad to emergency department; new loading dock associated with the rehabilitation unit; new loading bay for oncology and renal departments and associated widening to the existing driveway. Proposed stormwater outlet to the Moruya River comprising headwall, rip distributor & gross pollutant trap. The new unit will be located on the north western corner of the existing hospital, the unit extends the axis of the main hospital building & comprises 2 building forms to the north separated by a void. Ground floor contains the rehabilitation staff pod, consultation rooms, waiting area, workstations & offices, public access via lift, large terrace is also proposed at this level with stair access to first floor. The first floor contains clinical & functional areas comprising inpatient; therapy; core support spaces; clean linen loading dock; kitchen & dining/lounge area with direct access to a terrace comprising an area of approximately 29sq m, these areas are organised into 2 building forms surrounding a light void and connected by a circular walkway.
