SYDNEY SLIPWAYS MARINE MAINTENANCE FACILITY
Sydney Slipways Marine Maintenance Facility is currently at the Construction stage, valued at about $ 23278000 it is Construction of a marine maintenance facility. The facility will include a boat maintenance/vessel refit yard, wet working bays, straddle lifts, work sheds, associated offices, carparking & catering facility. The development will include: in water work berths/floating pontoons (5); fixed pier berths (2); pennant crane; 2 x straddle lifts; 8200sq m handstand area for undertaking maintenance & repair work on boats; water treatment plant; 2 x refit and maintenance sheds; 2 x painting sheds; diesel refuelling facility; flammable storage; materials recovery centre; and mast storage, rigging & assembly loft. The development will comprise 5 buildings Buildings A-E. Buildings A & E will comprise the major work sheds. Building E will be located in the north-western corner of the site & will contain: work shed area of 350sq m; paint bays 1040sq m; factory/office 70sq m; and optional mezzanine area over the office. Building A will be located in the south-western corner of the site & will contain: work shed area of 1440sq m; 5 x marine tenancies with ground floor area, 3 x 50sq m, 1 x 43.5sq m, 1 x 37.5sq m and mezzanine potential of a further 220sq m opening into the work shed; and internal office of 30sq m utilised by Sydney Shipways. Building C, on Lot 34 will comprise: ground floor of approx 1512sq m (including mezzanine level) containing: 6 x marine tenancies, general marine chandlery and 30 car spaces.
