MARILLANA CREEK MINE EXPANSION - YANDI - IRON ORE RESOURCE
Resource - Iron Ore project at 90 km north west of, Newman, WA 6753 In The Council Area Of East Pilbara of Private. Total resource body is estimated at 1420 million wet tonnes. Production is expected to increase from an existing 34 Mtpa to 45 Mtpa. Proposal for the expansion include, open cut mining of the overburden and ore, dewatering of the orebody during mining operations. Overburden will be placed in mine voids and out of pit storage areas. Infrastructure for the processing, loading and transportation of ore will be provided by two rail loading stockpiles/loops and railed from site to Port headland for shipping. Supply and distribution of power and raw materials will a be provided by on site diesel generators. Future power demands are expected to be met by the Newman gas fired station via connecting overhead transmission line. A new sewage facility known as Packsaddle Village Sewage Treatment Plant will be constructed. Existing infrastructure facilities at the mine site like main access roads, workshops, administration areas, accommodation village and airstrips will be used. ABBOT POINT COAL TERMINAL EXPANSION STAGE 3
Mining - Earthworks/Civil Engineering (Stockpile Management) project at Abbot Point 25 km north west of, Bowen, QLD 4805 of Coal Terminal Expansion - Stage 3 type of New development. Expansion of terminal capacity from 15 mtpa to 50 mtpa. Key components of the stage 3 expansion will involve the construction of a second berth, a second rail loop and train dump facilities and associated second in loading conveyor. Installation of a new stockyard bund and two new stockpile rows. Up to three new stacker reclaimers and a new yard conveyor and transfer towers will be installed. ALCAN GOVE BAUXITE OPERATIONS - REFINERY EXPANSION - STRUCTURAL/MECHANICAL
Mining - Earthworks/Civil Engineering (Stockpile Management) project for New development. Refinery expansion will increase production from a current 2 Mt/y to 3.8Mt/y in 2007. Proposed expansion includes stockpiling and handling. Bauxite will not be exported from Gove anymore but will be directed to the refinery. Stockpile sizes will remain the same, but stacker and feed conveyor systems will be upgraded or replaced and the refinery reclaimer will also be replaced. Three new grinding mills will be installed to replace the old rod and ball mills. One new mill slurry tank and pump transfer system together with one train of indirect mill slurry equipment will be installed. The heated feed will now be processed in a new high temperature double digestion process. A third low temperature digestion plant will be installed, as well as deep-cone thickners and high pressure pumps. The mud and liquor residue will be seperated in pressure decanters and processed through a train of new high rate washers and a single train of five deep cone thickners. The existing washers and thickners will be used for storage of residue liquids. Some will be demolished. Six new vertical pressure filters will be installed in a new security filtation area to process most of the turbid liquor flow from the thickners. Agglomeration precipitators and growth precipitators will be added to increase capacity as well as two interstage cooling facilities will be installed on each growth precipitator train. Flash vessels and a barometric condenser will be installed using cooling water from new cooling towers. A new hydrocyclone classification system with three classification stages allowing three different sized hydrate streams to be produced will be installed. A new filtration area and equipment will be installed to conduct filtration of various hydrate streams. Equipment will include six drum filters, vacum pumps and air blowers. Three new stationary calciners will be installed in conjunction with new hydrate conveyors and upgraded aluminia transfer systems. A new evaporation plant will be installed as well as cooling towers for vapour removal in the last three flash stages. Lime plant capacity will be increased from 140 t/h to 200 t/h by installing a new burner system and modifying the kiln's internal geometry. A new burnt lime storage silo will be installed. The existing power station will be converted from fuel oil to gas that will involve a new boiler and associated turbine units. The neutralisation plant will include a mixing tank and two thickners in a bunded area. New liquor purification plant will be constructed involving two seperate plants for the mixing and drying stage. Click for more details...

WORSLEY ALUMINA EXPANSION EFFICIENCY & GROWTH PROJECT
Mining - Earthworks/Civil Engineering (Stockpile Management) project In The Collie Council Area of Mine Expansion/Refinery - Upgrade type. Development comprises two parts. Expansion of the existing bauxite mining activities and an upgrade of the refinery. Mining will expand into the Saddleback, Marradong, Hotham North, East Quindanning, Morgans, Hotham North Extension, Central and Brookton mining envelopes. Throughput will expand to 16.5 Mtpa. The expansion of mining activities will involve the addition of three new primary crushers and a new crushed ore stockpile will be needed next to the existing secondary crusher to provide extra surge material to feed the overland bauxite conveyor. Additional conveyors include a 34 km extension from the Hotham North mining envelope which will cross both the Albany Highway and the Wandering-North Bannister road, a 16 Km spur from the south east of the Central mining envelope to the Luptons mining envelope and lastly a 28 Km extension from the Central mining envelope to the Brookton mining envelope. Additional bauxite conveyors spurs and haul truck transport may be needed in the future. Refinery expansion will involve an increase in the Bauxite stockpile of 0.5 Mt. At the Milling and Digestion plant an additional mill, an additional desilication tank and eight new slurry heaters will be required. At the Seperation plant, an extension of the residue washing tanks and an expansion of capacity of the causticiser circuit. At the Calcination plant an additional gas fired calciner with bag house with a new hydrate filtration building. Addition of a coal-fired co-generation facility with bag house designed to produce 350 tonnes of steam per hour (equivalent to 204 Mw) and 35 Mw of electrical power. Click for more details...

PILBARA IRON ORE & INFRASTRUCTURE PROJECT - ORE PREPERATION PLANT
Mining - Earthworks/Civil Engineering (Stockpile Management) project at Cloud Break Mine Site, Pilbara area via, Newman, WA 6753 for New. Ore Preparation Plant (OPP) is to comprise a crushing and screening operations. The facilities include a screen house, crushers, stockpiles and trainloader. The operation will process ore transported by a conveyor firstly to a portable crusher and sizer located at the operating face of the Cloud Break mine. When the ROM ore has been crushed and sized it will be transported via a conveyor to the screener and crusher. Ore will be sorted into super value fines, high grade fines, high grade lump and lower grade ore. The first three types of ore will be conveyed to the train loading station and shipped to Port Hedland. The low grade will be stockpiled for the future when the Christmas Creek Beneficiation Plant is constructed. Operating facilities at the plant will comprise a Sample Tester, Plant/Workshop store, Communication Tower, High Voltage Switchyard, Sewage Treatment Plant, Potable Water Plant including a Water Tank, Temporary Diesel Power Station, Control Room, Workshops, Laboratories, Amenities area, OPP Administration area including a Store, Laboratory, Emergency Response Centre and Administration building, Mining administration area, Car Parks, two Fuel Farms and a Vehicle Washdown Facility including a washdown slab and an oil separator and automated facilities. BROKEN HILL SEPARATION PLANT UPGRADE

This project The upgrade of the separation plant is proposed to take into account the development of the nearby Snapper project. Upgrades will be undertaken for the plant itself and associated infrastructure. The plant upgrades planned are the additions of a rutile circuit and a zircon circuit. An option to locate a Wet High Intensity Magnetic Separator circuit from the mine site is also proposed. These addition will production to increase from 576,000 tpa to 650,000 tpa. The rutile, ilmenite and zircon circuit feed and rejects stockpiles will all be expanded. The non-magnetic concentrate heavy mineral concentrate receival area will also be expanded. CHINESE SOUTH EXTENDED & MOTTRAMS GOLD MINE PROJECT
Mining - Earthworks/Civil Engineering (Stockpile Management) project at Doulgas Station, Stuart Hwy, 12km North of Hayes Creek Wayside Inn, via, Pine Creek, NT 0847 for New. The company proposes to recommence gold mining operations. Mining is proposed to commence on two deposits within this area. The proposed mining development consists of two open cut pits and will employ conventional open cut excavation methods. No mineral processing will occur on these sites. The ore will be transported by road, approximately 62km south-east, for processing. DRAYTON COAL OPERATIONS EXTENSION PROJECT
Mining - Earthworks/Civil Engineering (Stockpile Management) project for New development. Mining of an additional resource of 30 million tonnes from the Greta Coal Measures (targeting the Rowan formation) at a rate of up to 8 Mtpa to extend the mine life to 2017. The extension of mining will predominantly progress to the South of current operations; however, additional areas within the North and East of the project area are also proposed to be mined. The project will require some additional items of equipment to accommodate an increased rate of production such as: 1 x excavator, 3 x track dozers, 5 x 280 tonne rear dump trucks, 1 x additional drill, grader and watercart, plus other minor ancillary equipment. The existing Coal Handling Plant (CHP) & associated stockpile reclamation system will be upgraded in order to align the facilities with the proposed increase in annual production. A new 80 000 tonnes product coal stockpile & a 40 000 tonne domestic product coal stockpile are proposed to further assist production efficiencies. Minor changes to Drayton's water management system are also proposed to maximise water management & use at the mine. Drayton will continue to utilise dragline, excavators, loaders and a fleet of trucks to both uncover the coal & transport it to on-site processing and load-out facilities. Blasting will continue to be required to assist with overburden & coal extraction. Drayton will continue to utilise existing infrastructure such as administration offices, workshops, parking facilities, conveyors, coal handling facilities and coal stockpiles. FLINDERS ZINC PROJECT
Mining - Earthworks/Civil Engineering (Stockpile Management) project In The Far North Council Area of Resource - Zinc type. A resource of 966 000 tpmmes at 31% zinc, containing almost 300 000 tonnes of zinc metal, has been estimated for the Flinders project and additional resources are expected from ongoing work. The project is a small scale mining operation involving the winning of ore using open cut mining methods. Topsoil and vegetation will be removed from areas of working and stockpiled for later use in restoration/rehabilitation activities. Ore block definition (grade control) will be carried out using a reverse circulation drill rig. Blasting of ore and waste will be reuqired from the surface to the base of pit. Material will be loaded and hauled from the pit using hydraulic excavators and dump trucks. Overburden and waste rock will be deposited in a waste rock dump, and ore grade rock will be transported to the pre-crushed ore stockpile at the Beltana Mine. The ore will be transported to Port Pirie for shipping to overseas markets. Site rehabilitation will be carried out on completion of mining and ore transport. This will include the grading windrows back over tracks or cleared areas, the reshaping and re profiling of the waste rock dump, covering the disturbed areas with available topsoil and re-establishing vegetation. Extension of underground mining operations in a location west of the existing Ulan No 3 underground mine & north of the recently closed open cut pit. To operate for 21 years using the retreat longwall method with a panel width of up to 400m. Access to the Ulan West operations to be via a series of portals to be constructed within the vicinity of the existing open cut pit. MCARTHUR RIVER BASE METALS OPERATIONS PHASE 3 EXPANSION
Operating Mine - Expn - Phase 3 project at 60km southwest of, Borroloola, NT 0854 in the Mining - Earthworks/Civil Engineering (Stockpile Management). A project to extend the existing pit to the east to cover 210ha (1750m x 1500m). Mining to 420m deep should increase mineable reserves from 54 million tonnes (Mt) to 115Mt. Expansion of the current fleet of rope shovels, hydraulic excavators & large haul trucks to increase the mining capacity from 2.5Mtpa to 5.5 Mtpa. Upgrade of the processing plant (expanded crushing facilities, additional grinding mills, flotation cells & thickeners) to produce up to 800,000tpa of bulk zinc/lead concentrate containing 368,000t zinc. New overburden emplacement facilities (OEF) to the east & south of the expanded pit as well as expansion of the existing North OEF from 375ha to 860ha & a height increase from 55m to 80m. Installation of a new water management dam with a low permeability liner & drainage to allow it to eventually be converted to Cell 4 of the tailings storage facility. Increase using the existing pipeline of gas fired power generation from 20MW to 45-40MW. Expansion of the permanent accommodation village by 30 then later 80 rooms.
