MERLIN DIAMOND PROJECT - STAGE 1
Approx 200 km east of, Daly Waters, NT 0852 Has Merlin Diamond Project - Stage 1 currently at Construction stage. First ore is likely to be available from the pits during November 1998. Work on the tailings dam is expected to be completed within 10-11 weeks of commencement.

BROWNS OXIDE PROJECT - NICKEL/COBALT/COPPER/LEAD RESOURCE
7 Km North West of, Batchelor, NT 0845 Has Browns Oxide Project - Nickel/Cobalt/Copper/Lead Resource currently at Construction stage. The ore is to be mined, crushed, ground and slurried on site. Ore will be processed in a onsite process plant and tailing will be stored in a onsite tailings dam. The in-ground oxide resource estimate for the Batchelor region projects has an estimated value at over 1 billion dollars. Measured resource is 18 million tonnes, indicated is 27 million tonnes and inferred is 37 million tonnes. Metals in the ground are lead at 1,865,000 tonnes, copper 622,000 tonnes, cobalt at 98,000 tonnes and nickel at 90,000 tonnes. There are also significant exploration prospects at Mount Fitch and Mount Burton.

PINE CREEK GOLD OPERATIONS - BROCKS CREEK
Mining - Infrastructure (Tailings, Dams, Water supply dams) project In The Katherine Town Council Area of Mine - Open Cut type. First mining to be based on the Alligator & Faded Lily deposits. Selective & bulk mining methods expected to be utilised on the areas which have an average strip ratio of 3.5:1. Total measured & indicated resource now stands 16.4mt grading 1.94gpt gold (uncut) with preliminary reserves of 6.1mt at 1.73gpt gold. A 750,000tpa-1mtpa operation is anticipated for this project which has as estimated mine life of 6-12 years. This contract will include run-of-mine (ROM) pad delivery & tailings dam construction. An additional low grade inpit reserve of 1.76mt at 0.65gpt gold has been advised for the Faded Lily/Aligator area. An initial contract period of 3 years involving 5 million bank cubic metres of material is proposed.

GOLF/TOLLIS - GOLD
A project in the NT Within Katherine Town. An indicated resource of 8.76mt grading 0.85gpt gold has now been estimated (oxide, transition & primary ores) for this area. These deposits are being considered as future feed for the heap leach circuit at the Company's Mt Todd plant. Additional zone of mineralisation also undergoing evaluation & is included in current pit optimisation studies (Golf & Tollis). It is envisaged the Golf pit will provide waste for a new tailings dam to be constructed nearby.

BROWNS OXIDE PROJECT - NEW TAILINGS FACILITY
7 Km North West of, Batchelor, NT 0845 Has Browns Oxide Project - New Tailings Facility currently at Construction stage. The Tailings Storage Facility associated with the approved BOP has been found to overly a zone of potentially economic mineralisation. To avoid sterilisation of this zone of mineralisation th Company intends to construct a new TSF to contain the tailing from ore processed from the Browns oxide deposit in a location immediately adjacent to the approved TSF location. The new TSF has been designed on the basis that it will store both tailing and potentially acid forming (PAF) waste rock from the deposit. Prepatory activities associated with the construction of the new TSF are: vegetation clearing and grubbing, topsoil stripping and stockpiling, levelling of the site and compaction of existing clayey soils. The construction of the TSF will involve: an internal lining of compacted clayey soil, comprising a number of layers of low permeability material. Material for this zone will be preferentially sourced from a borrow pit located within the storage area, a rockfill zone for the external empbankment, constructed using NAF pit waste material, an internal ramp to access the decant system, and a PAF bund. The PAF bund will provide a physical barrier between tailings and the PAF waste, and is required because the tailings level will be higher than PAF waste level in the early stages of construction. A protective rockfill layer place (loose) over the face of the Zone 1 layer to provide protection from erosion and evaporative drying.

GRANITES GOLD MINE - TAILING STORAGE FACILITY
Mining - Infrastructure (Tailings, Dams, Water supply dams) project In The Unincorporated North Council Area of Private ownership. The Bunker Hill pit will be use for tailings disposal. A 4km tailings deposition pipeline and a process water return line will be constructed between the processing mill and the pit. Storage dams will also be constructed to contain any accidental spillages. When the pit is filled and has settled, waste rock will be used to cap the pit.

MCARTHUR RIVER BASE METALS OPERATIONS PHASE 3 EXPANSION
Operating Mine - Expn - Phase 3 project at 60km southwest of, Borroloola, NT 0854 in the Mining - Infrastructure (Tailings, Dams, Water supply dams). A project to extend the existing pit to the east to cover 210ha (1750m x 1500m). Mining to 420m deep should increase mineable reserves from 54 million tonnes (Mt) to 115Mt. Expansion of the current fleet of rope shovels, hydraulic excavators & large haul trucks to increase the mining capacity from 2.5Mtpa to 5.5 Mtpa. Upgrade of the processing plant (expanded crushing facilities, additional grinding mills, flotation cells & thickeners) to produce up to 800,000tpa of bulk zinc/lead concentrate containing 368,000t zinc. New overburden emplacement facilities (OEF) to the east & south of the expanded pit as well as expansion of the existing North OEF from 375ha to 860ha & a height increase from 55m to 80m. Installation of a new water management dam with a low permeability liner & drainage to allow it to eventually be converted to Cell 4 of the tailings storage facility. Increase using the existing pipeline of gas fired power generation from 20MW to 45-40MW. Expansion of the permanent accommodation village by 30 then later 80 rooms. Construction of a 300 room temporary workers camp serviced by a packet sewerage treatment plant. Workforce to peak during construction at 930 & operationally at 735 permanent staff & contractors.
