NEW METRORAIL PROJECT - SOUTH WEST METROPOLITAN RAILWAY
Civil Engineering (Tunnels, Subways) project at Btwn Perth (Narrows Bridge) & Mandurah, ., WA 6999 for Addition. Package A works (70 km railworks) include earthworks & structures that will form part of South West Metropolitan Railway between Perth (Narrows Bridge) & Mandurah. Works to include civil works, drainage, trackworks, overhead traction wiring system & bulk earthworks to stations at Thomsons Lake, Thomas Rd, Leda, Rockingham, Waikiki & Mandurah. Contract includes delivery of double rail line & traction power, signalling & communications systems, earthworks, drainage, fencing & design & construction of 15 road, rail & pedestrian bridges & underpasses between Glen Iris & Mandurah. As part of project, RailLink will establish temporary construction depot in Rockingham (where rail will be welded into long lengths ahead of track & sleeper laying), construction of railcar storage & internal cleaning depot at Mandurah & electrical substations at Jandakot & Karnup to convert 132 Kv supply to 25 Kv power required to operate trains. MELBOURNE TO SYDNEY RAIL INFRASTUCTURE UPGRADE

SPRINGVALE ROAD/RAIL SEPARATION PROJECT
Civil Engineering (Tunnels, Subways) project In The Whitehorse Council Area of State ownership. To eliminate the railway crossing at Springvale Road near Whitehorse Road intersection, a rail underpass will be constructed with the railway line to be lowered up to six meters on the western side of Springvale Road and the road to bridge over the railway line. A new railway station will be built on the west side of Springvale Road, replacing the existing Nunawading Station on the east side of Springvale Road. The station will be constructed as a continuous island platform with tracks either side. There will be space for a future third track. The platform will link to stairs and lifts on either side of Springvale Road, at the side of the current level crossing. Upgraded customer facilities will include bicycle storage, taxi rank and new drop-off and parking area at street level. City West Cable Tunnel is currently at the Construction stage, valued at about $ 50000000 it is The proposal involves the construction of an electricity transmission cable tunnel to link the Haymarket bulk supply point in Thomas St, Ultimo, to the new City North substation at the corner of Sussex & Erskine Sts, Sydney; construction of an interface with City Central substation; installation of 5 x electricity transmission feeders to transmit electricity to the City North substation; construction of a permanent tunnel adit (entrance) and ventilation intake at the eastern end of Mary Anne St. The ventilation exhaust works would be integrated with the City North substation building. RAINE SQUARE UNDERPASS
Underpass project at Btwn Raine Sq & William St, Perth, WA 6000 In The Council Area Of Perth of Private. To include the construction of a pedestrian tunnel connecting the lower level of the Raine Square & the concourse level of the Perth (William St) railway station. Works expected to be done in 3 stages. Stage 1 works (July - August 2009), approx 6.5 weeks comprising of Step 1. The eastern two thirds of William St to be closed to enable installation of sheet piles on all four sides of the site area as temporary retaining walls. Bored piers will also be constructed & these will form supports for the roof slab. Step 2. Soil within stage 1 piling will be excavated to the depth of the underside of the roof slab, approx 2 metres. Temporary propping of the sheet piling will be installed & then the stage 1 roof slab & horizontal piers to the outer wall of the railway station will be constructed. Waterproofing membranes will be installed & soil backfilled over the roof slab, this portion of the road will be reinstated to the City´s specifications. Stage 2 works (August - September 2009), approx 4.5 weeks. Step 3. comprising of western third of William St to be closed to enable installation of sheet piles on all three sides of the site area, as temporary retaining walls. Bored piers will also be constructed & these will form supports for the roof slab. Step 4. Soil within stage 2 piling will be excavated to the depth of the underside of the roof slab, approx 2 metres. Temporary propping of the sheet piling will be installed & sheet pile wall will be removed about roof level. Waterproofing membranes will be installed & soil backfilled over the roof slab, this portion of the road will be reinstated to the City´s specifications. Stage 3 works (February - March 2010) 7 weeks. Step 5. Comprising of soil to be excavated from underneath the roof slab, & a ground floor slab & footings for the walls will be constructed. Step 6. Comprising permanent retaining walls will be constructed on the inside of the sheet piling. Step 7. Comprising of temporary sheet piles will be removed to connect the tunnel with the railway station concourse & Raine Square basement, remaining soil will be excavated & retaining walls built back to the existing structures. Step 8. Comprising floor slab will be constructed between the retaining walls & existing structures. Existing D-wall will be demolished & a new lintel beam constructed for support. HEATHCOTE ENGADINE & PEPPERMINT GROVE TUNNELS
Currently at the Construction stage In Sutherland is a project estimated to be $ 915000. This project Rehabilitation of the Heathcote Engadine & Peppermint Grove tunnels. Scope of Work ? common to both sites - includes but is not necessarily limited to: Site establishment; reinstatement of access tracks if required to provide safe vehicle access; provision of all confined spaces measures including access, ventilation and odour control (if necessary) to facilitate the internal rehabilitation; removal of any silt, fretted rock & debris generated from internal surface preparation and cleaning as well as any existing silt within the area of work; coordination with Sydney Water, any other relevant authorities & the adjoining property owners to arrange access & manage pedestrian movements necessary to implement the rehabilitation & site restoration. Scope of Work ? Heathcote-Engadine Carrier which includes but is not necessarily limited to: Erection of scaffold over Scouts Creek to minimise potential impacts on the creek and to provide safe access for personnel & equipment from the site establishment area to the manhole; coordination with Sydney Water in regard to flow management strategies and wet weather requirements; set-up of a flow management regime to /or internal bypass to deal with incoming flows from the rising main of SP0275 & SP0589; removal of root ingress 9 m downstream of manhole; internal patch repairs of areas with severe deterioration of the 19m of unreinforced concrete lining of the sewer starting from and including the upstream manhole, this includes cleaning & surface preparation of internal concrete & brick surfaces, reinstatement in areas of degradation as required in readiness for application of protective coating system; removal & replacement of cast iron 2 part watertight access covers and cast in frame & removal & replacement of all step irons in upstream manhole. WYNYARD WALK
State ownership Civil Engineering (Tunnels, Subways) project In The Sydney Council Area for New development. Provide direct, level safe accessible pedestrian route between Barangaroo & Wynyard precinct transport hub which is integrated with the existing road & footpath networks. A new multi-storey building (above & below ground) forming the western entrance to Wynyard Station (from Clarence St) to provide direct access to the station concourse. A new 3.5 metre high & 9 metres wide (internal dimensions) pedestrian tunnel, approximately 110 metres long, providing a grade separated link from the western entrance structure to Wynyard Station Concourse under Clarence, Margaret & Kent Sts to Napoleon Node (bounded by Sussex St, Westpac Plaza, Kent & Napoleon St). Structural works to facilitate transfer of building loads around the envelope of the proposed tunnel which may involve the use of prefabricated steel beams, supporting columns & temporary jacking frames. A paved public pedestrian plaza at the Napoleon Node. which will connect the Wynyard Walk tunnel & bridge components. A pedestrian bridge link over Sussex St providing a grade separated connection between Sussex St & Napoleon Node. Civil Engineering (Tunnels, Subways) project for New development. Circuit design, manufacture, supply, installation & jointing of 132 kV XLPE cables & ancillary equipment. Scope of work generally involves: installation of a new 132 kV cable circuit between Beaconsfield Bulk Supply Point (BSP) & Belmore Park Zone Substation (ZS); the circuit will be known as Feeder 90Y. Included in the scope of work is the civil, mechanical & electrical design & construction work associated with these circuits, as well as all necessary site investigation along the circuit route to enable the design to be completed. The specified feeder route in the EIA from Belmore Park ZS to Beaconsfield BSP is approximately 5.5km in length & consists of 3 main cable sections. Section 1 - Belmore Park ZS to the shared section of the Metrogrid Tunnel - approximately 800m; this section utilises the City South Cable Tunnel, Haymarket BSP basement and the Metrogrid Tunnel; this section of cable has already been installed as part of a separate project. Section 2 - shared tunnel to Sydney Park tunnel shaft - approximately 3,450m; the second section runs from the shared section of the Metrogrid Tunnel to a proposed joint bay location, on land at the Sydney Park Tunnel shaft via the Metrogrid Cable Tunnel. Section 3 - Sydney Park Tunnel Shaft to Beaconsfield BSP - approximately 1200m; the third section consists of approximately 60m of new trench, one new joint bay & connection into approximately 1000m of spare conduits & joint bays installed as part of a recently constructed project, feeder 9S4 from Sydney Park Tunnel Shaft joint bay to Beaconsfield BSP.
