NORTHPARKES COPPER & GOLD OPERATIONS - E48 - RESOURCE
Private ownership Mining - Earthworks/Civil Engineering (Underground mining & crushing) project In The Parkes Council Area for New development. Development comprises a new underground mine which is 2 km north of the existing E26 underground mine. Mining operations will be conducted by rock caving and ore will be hoisted via an existing shaft. A new above ground conveyor to the existing processing plant will be constructed. Two new tailings storage facilities will be constructed for the residue. A major engineering and construction component of the project will be to set up the underground crusher chamber. Resource estimate is 22,600,000 tonnes @ 1.15% copper and 0.46 g/t gold containing 260,000 tonnes of copper and 334,000 ounces of gold. Mine is expected to produce 5.5 Mtpa and extended to 2017. REWARD GOLD PROJECT
Mining - Earthworks/Civil Engineering (Underground mining & crushing) project for New development. Inferred resource estimate of 124,400 tonnes @ 19 g/t Au for 75,900 ounces of gold. If the trial mining and sampling studies are successful at the Exhibition area then underground mining will conducted at the rate of 100,000 tonnes @ 20-30 g/t. The process plant has been redesigned and commissioning has commenced. In addition to the gravity sampling plant, which has a nominal capacity of 5 tonnes per hour, a mini-bulk sampling facility is being established on site for gold recovery from small development samples to provide a qualitative assessment of the vein sets as development proceeds.
