List of Underground mining & crushing Projects in WA
BETA HUNT NICKEL PROJECT
Resource - Nickel New project In The Coolgardie Council Area. The project includes a remnant resource at the Hunt nickel mine and the developed but un-mined Beta nickel project. Access to the mine is via a portal situated on the northern shoreline of Lake Lefroy, 5 km by road from the WMC nickel concentrator. The Hunt deposit is accessed by a 4 km decline and has remnant blocks available for mining. The Beta deposit is accessed via a 2 km decline developed from the base of the Hunt decline. The Beta deposit is partially developed but is otherwise unmined and requires only pumping and rehabilitation to recommence production in the first quarter of 2004. The acquisition of the project is via a sub-lease associated with agreements and rights in relation to the mining of nickel. Targets within the project area that have the potential to significantly increase the resource base have been identified.
