ALCAN GOVE BAUXITE OPERATIONS - REFINERY EXPANSION - INFRASTRUCTURE
Mining - Civil Services (Water distribution & pipelines, borefields) New project at Gove Peninsula, North West Arnhem Land via, Nhulunbuy, NT 0880. This type is Infrastructure with Private ownership. Refinery expansion will increase production from a current 2 Mt/y to 3.8Mt/y in 2007. All new process areas will be concrete bunded with sumps installed. Stormwater drainage and utilities will be extended to all new areas and facilities. The existing sewerage treatment facility will be upgraded by the addition of seperate reticulation and package sewerage plants. Proposed expansion includes stockpiling and handling. Bauxite will not be exported from Gove anymore but will be directed to the refinery. Stockpile sizes will remain the same, but stacker and feed conveyor systems will be upgraded or replaced and the refinery reclaimer will also be replaced. Three new grinding mills will be installed to replace the old rod and ball mills. One new mill slurry tank and pump transfer system together with one train of indirect mill slurry equipment will be installed. The heated feed will now be processed in a new high temperature double digestion process. A third low temperature digestion plant will be installed, as well as deep-cone thickners and high pressure pumps. The mud and liquor residue will be seperated in pressure decanters and processed through a train of new high rate washers and a single train of five deep cone thickners. The existing washers and thickners will be used for storage of residue liquids. Some will be demolished. Six new vertical pressure filters will be installed in a new security filtation area to process most of the turbid liquor flow from the thickners. Agglomeration precipitators and growth precipitators will be added to increase capacity as well as two interstage cooling facilities will be installed on each growth precipitator train. Flash vessels and a barometric condenser will be installed using cooling water from new cooling towers. A new hydrocyclone classification system with three classification stages allowing three different sized hydrate streams to be produced will be installed. A new filtration area and equipment will be installed to conduct filtration of various hydrate streams. Equipment will include six drum filters, vacum pumps and air blowers. Three new stationary calciners will be installed in conjunction with new hydrate conveyors and upgraded aluminia transfer systems. A new evaporation plant will be installed as well as cooling towers for vapour removal in the last three flash stages. Lime plant capacity will be increased from 140 t/h to 200 t/h by installing a new burner system and modifying the kiln's internal geometry. A new burnt lime storage silo will be installed. The existing power station will be converted from fuel oil to gas that will involve a new boiler and associated turbine units. The neutralisation plant will include a mixing tank and two thickners in a bunded area. New liquor purification plant will be constructed involving two seperate plants for the mixing and drying stage. Click for more details...

AREA C - MOUNT GOLDSWORTHY IRON ORE OPERATIONS EXTENSION PROJECT - RESOURCE
Currently at the Construction stage In East Pilbara is a project estimated to be $ 420000000. This project Total resource body is estimated at 2.2 million tonnes. Ore production is to remain at 8.5 Mtpa. Proposal for the expansion are the mining of three new and existing areas. At the new Cattle Gorge area mining approx 11 Mt of ore and 12 Mt of low grade ore/overburden. In the new Nimingarra hard rock mining area of approx 1mt of ore and 7.3 Mt of low grade ore/overburden. Extension to three existing crustal iron ore deposits at Yarrie to mine an additional 2.2 Mt of ore and approx 1 Mt of low grade ore/overburden. Access roads and haul roads will be developed to connect with project area. Electricity supply will be extended to the Cattle Gorge mining area. The Yarrie acccommodation village will be upgraded to 450 rooms and be a fly in fly out operation. New water lines will be entended into the new mining areas. YABULU NICKEL REFINERY EXTENSION - COOLING WATER TOWER CONTRACT
Mining - Civil Services (Water distribution & pipelines, borefields) project at Refinery site at, Yabulu, QLD 4818 for New. The existing standby turbine alternator will be changed to generate power as required in conjuction with other units on site. The low pressure steam exhausted from the turbine in addition to other steam supplies on site will be reticulated throughout the site to the new plant for heating and process requirements. CHALLENGER GOLD OPERATIONS

BATCHELOR MAGNESIUM PROJECT
Infrastructure project at Rum Jungle district 85 km south of, Darwin, NT 0800 in the Mining - Civil Services (Water distribution & pipelines, borefields). Following completion of the Stage one Feasibility study, locations were selected for each of the facilities necessary for development of the Project. Underground development work and production mining are in progress. Full scale underground mining should commence in 2007. SCOTIA MINE - TIN/SAPPHIRE RESOURCE
Mining - Civil Services (Water distribution & pipelines, borefields) project at 3 Km North via the Cape Portland Rd, Gladstone, TAS 7264 for New. Development comprises mining the Scotia open pit, constructing three tailings dams, one fresh water dam and a gravity processing plant with associated conveyors. Scheduling of pre-mining site works is complete. Development will involve road and bridge upgrading, provision of new heavy vehicle access, dam site construction, commencement of pumping of freshwater to dam storage, treatment plant and site office and workshop infrastructure construction. Road engineering and bridge/culvert design are completed. The Company has already commenced dam wall foundation geotechnical works. DRAYTON COAL OPERATIONS EXTENSION PROJECT
Mining - Civil Services (Water distribution & pipelines, borefields) project for New development. Mining of an additional resource of 30 million tonnes from the Greta Coal Measures (targeting the Rowan formation) at a rate of up to 8 Mtpa to extend the mine life to 2017. The extension of mining will predominantly progress to the South of current operations; however, additional areas within the North and East of the project area are also proposed to be mined. The project will require some additional items of equipment to accommodate an increased rate of production such as: 1 x excavator, 3 x track dozers, 5 x 280 tonne rear dump trucks, 1 x additional drill, grader and watercart, plus other minor ancillary equipment. The existing Coal Handling Plant (CHP) & associated stockpile reclamation system will be upgraded in order to align the facilities with the proposed increase in annual production. A new 80 000 tonnes product coal stockpile & a 40 000 tonne domestic product coal stockpile are proposed to further assist production efficiencies. Minor changes to Drayton's water management system are also proposed to maximise water management & use at the mine. Drayton will continue to utilise dragline, excavators, loaders and a fleet of trucks to both uncover the coal & transport it to on-site processing and load-out facilities. Blasting will continue to be required to assist with overburden & coal extraction. Drayton will continue to utilise existing infrastructure such as administration offices, workshops, parking facilities, conveyors, coal handling facilities and coal stockpiles. CURTIS ISLAND LNG (QCLNG) PROJECT - LNG PLANT
Currently at the Construction stage In Gladstone Regional is a project estimated to be $ 8000000000. This project QCLNG is a project to develop coal seam gas wells in the Surat & Bowen Basins, pipe gas to a processing plant to be built on Curtis Island & then export product LNG by ship. The LNG plant to have an ultimate capacity of up to 12 million tonnes per annum (Mtpa) from 3 LNG trains, each of 3 to 4 Mtpa production capacity. These involve feed gas metering & filtration to remove entrained pipeline debris; gas processing to remove carbon dioxide & other components contained in the gas; gas chilling & drying in a 3-bed molecular sieve system to remove the final traces of water;dry gas processing through activated carbon bed system for mercury removal & gas refrigeration for liquefaction to LNG . The refrigeration systems to be powered by gas turbines equipped with dry low NOx emission systems; heat removal (as part of the liquefaction process) using fin coolers. Onshore LNG storage in tanks including 2 LNG storage tanks up to 200,000cu m for the first 2 trains & a tank of similar size for the third train; 1 butane storage tank up to 100,000cu m (including vapour recovery system) for imported butane required for spiking LNG product to meet a required high heating value (HHV) along with ancillary equipment & infrastructure including flares. Storage of refrigerant as well diesel fuel, lube oil etc. Associated infrastructure to include fuel gas systems; effluent treatment & outfall for treated wastewater, power generation/distribution; fire protection systems; water systems including seawater desalination plant for process & potable water supply. Additional buildings to include compressor control building, analyser shelter, maintenance buildings, offices and staff amenities building. A temporary pioneer construction camp to accommodate 100-300 people expected to be built within the LNG facility area before early site preparation activities for the first LNG train. This camp will be replaced by a larger construction camp on Curtis Island and/or on the mainland during the LNG Facility construction to house a workforce of 3000 approx people. The construction camp expected to include necessary amenities such as a dining hall & kitchen, a primary health care facility & recreation centre. Other services & camp infrastructure to include a water treatment plant & storage, sewerage treatment plant, temporary power supply, fuel storage facility & fire-fighting equipment, some of which will remain as permanent facilities for the operations phase. YALLOURN JOINT VENTURE COAL OPERATIONS - YALLOURN COAL FIELD REALIGNMENT PROJECT

A project to reduce overburden removal in the southeast portion of the coal fields supplying the Yallourn W Power Station by boundary alteration. HAY POINT COAL TERMINAL EXPANSION - HPX3 - BERTH 3 & ONSHORE FACILITIES
A project in the QLD Within Mackay Regional. Construction of a new berth wharf (Berth 3) and shiploader (Shiploader 3/SL3). Construction of 2 new outloading trestle conveyors on a new offshore trestle complete with access roadway. Construction of offshore link conveyors to existing Berths 1 & 2 & the proposed Berth 3 from the new outloading trestle conveyors. Reclamation of land (9.4ha) to the northeast of the existing stockyard area to facilitate the construction of new onshore outloading systems. Construction of two new onshore outloading systems, associated transfer towers & surge bins to feed the new trestle conveyors, generally constructed on the newly reclaimed land area. Demolition & removal of the existing outloading conveyors, including demolition of the existing trestle & roadway structure. PILBARA 333 IRON ORE OPERATIONS EXPANSION PROJECT
A project in the WA Within Various. A project to increase Pilbara iron operations capacity from 220million tonnes per annum (Mtpa) to 330Mtpa. Improvements at Dampier Port expected to see 225Mtpa capacity by early 2011 & 230Mtpa by mid 2012. Improvements at Cape Lambert Port to include construction of an additional 1.8km, 4 berth jetty & wharf running parallel to the existing Cape Lambert jetty & 4 berth Wharf A. This will give 280Mtpa capacity by the first half of 2014 & 330Mtpa by the first half of 2016. LIDDELL COAL OPERATIONS EXPANSION

A project for a 5 year life-of-mine (LoM) extension by expanding the existing South pit followed by expansion of the Entrance pit after which a new MIA pit to be developed involving relocation of the current mine infrastructure area. Construction of a new conveyor & transfer point to link to the existing overland conveyor to allow transfer of up to 1.5 million tonnes per annum (Mtpa) of coal to the Ravensworth coal handling & preparation plant (CHPP) now that the demolished Cumnock CHPP is no longer available to take excess run-of-mine (ROM) coal. A new 50,000t stockpile at the new conveyor & expansion of the existing ROM stockpile capacity to 200,000t as well as a new tailings emplacement area in the South Pit void.
