ALCAN GOVE BAUXITE OPERATIONS - REFINERY EXPANSION - INFRASTRUCTURE
Mining - Civil Services (Water distribution & pipelines, borefields) New project at Gove Peninsula, North West Arnhem Land via, Nhulunbuy, NT 0880. This type is Infrastructure with Private ownership. Refinery expansion will increase production from a current 2 Mt/y to 3.8Mt/y in 2007. All new process areas will be concrete bunded with sumps installed. Stormwater drainage and utilities will be extended to all new areas and facilities. The existing sewerage treatment facility will be upgraded by the addition of seperate reticulation and package sewerage plants. Proposed expansion includes stockpiling and handling. Bauxite will not be exported from Gove anymore but will be directed to the refinery. Stockpile sizes will remain the same, but stacker and feed conveyor systems will be upgraded or replaced and the refinery reclaimer will also be replaced. Three new grinding mills will be installed to replace the old rod and ball mills. One new mill slurry tank and pump transfer system together with one train of indirect mill slurry equipment will be installed. The heated feed will now be processed in a new high temperature double digestion process. A third low temperature digestion plant will be installed, as well as deep-cone thickners and high pressure pumps. The mud and liquor residue will be seperated in pressure decanters and processed through a train of new high rate washers and a single train of five deep cone thickners. The existing washers and thickners will be used for storage of residue liquids. Some will be demolished. Six new vertical pressure filters will be installed in a new security filtation area to process most of the turbid liquor flow from the thickners. Agglomeration precipitators and growth precipitators will be added to increase capacity as well as two interstage cooling facilities will be installed on each growth precipitator train. Flash vessels and a barometric condenser will be installed using cooling water from new cooling towers. A new hydrocyclone classification system with three classification stages allowing three different sized hydrate streams to be produced will be installed. A new filtration area and equipment will be installed to conduct filtration of various hydrate streams. Equipment will include six drum filters, vacum pumps and air blowers. Three new stationary calciners will be installed in conjunction with new hydrate conveyors and upgraded aluminia transfer systems. A new evaporation plant will be installed as well as cooling towers for vapour removal in the last three flash stages. Lime plant capacity will be increased from 140 t/h to 200 t/h by installing a new burner system and modifying the kiln's internal geometry. A new burnt lime storage silo will be installed. The existing power station will be converted from fuel oil to gas that will involve a new boiler and associated turbine units. The neutralisation plant will include a mixing tank and two thickners in a bunded area. New liquor purification plant will be constructed involving two seperate plants for the mixing and drying stage. Click for more details...

AREA C - MOUNT GOLDSWORTHY IRON ORE OPERATIONS EXTENSION PROJECT - RESOURCE
Currently at the Construction stage In East Pilbara is a project estimated to be $ 420000000. This project Total resource body is estimated at 2.2 million tonnes. Ore production is to remain at 8.5 Mtpa. Proposal for the expansion are the mining of three new and existing areas. At the new Cattle Gorge area mining approx 11 Mt of ore and 12 Mt of low grade ore/overburden. In the new Nimingarra hard rock mining area of approx 1mt of ore and 7.3 Mt of low grade ore/overburden. Extension to three existing crustal iron ore deposits at Yarrie to mine an additional 2.2 Mt of ore and approx 1 Mt of low grade ore/overburden. Access roads and haul roads will be developed to connect with project area. Electricity supply will be extended to the Cattle Gorge mining area. The Yarrie acccommodation village will be upgraded to 450 rooms and be a fly in fly out operation. New water lines will be entended into the new mining areas. Proposal is to reduce saline seepage risk & increase system stability. A total tailings storage capacity of about 240mt is required due to increased operations. Proposed facility to incorporate a 5 km diameter x 3m x 5m high embankment plus ring main distribution pipe & will feed 9 vertical risers (purchased). Tailings slurry will be discharged through risers & will flow out to form a series of low, overlapping cones (approximately 3% slope). DUKETON REGIONAL GOLD PROJECT - MOOLART WELL
Resource - Gold project at 100 km North of, Laverton, WA 6440 In The Council Area Of Laverton of Private. The new estimate is 25 095kt at 0.46g/t for 375koz Au. The mining method have been chosen to best suit the style of gold mineralisation and provide the optimal movement rates: excavator and haul trucks. The developer will be manager for the mining-related construction activities (including ROM pad and haul road construction), maintenance during mining operations and the supply of lighting and pumping equipment. The process plant will comprise crushing, crushed ore stockpile and reclaim facility, grinding, gravity separations, leach and CIL adsorption, elution and regeneration and a gold room. The treatment plant is designed for a nominal 300tph milling rate and capacity of 2 000 000 tonnes per year. Run of mine (ROM) ore will be fed to the crushing plant at a design rate of 408tph and stored on the crushed ore stockpile. A maximum capacity of 450 tph has been allowed within the crushing circuit to cater for softer or and increased mill throughput. A gravity separation circuit is included in the design to enhance the recovery of gold that concentrates in the cyclone underflow system. The leach and CIL adsorption circuit design is based on the mill feed grade of 2.0 g/t Au and 20% gravity gold recovery. Tailings will be thickened using a high rate thickener with the underflow being pumped to the tailings storage facility (TSF). Water shall be reclaimed via a central decant and returned to the process facility. gold recovery by electrowinning. Dore and gold bearing product will be stored in the secure goldroom which has electronic surveillance systems installed. Raw water will be supplied from the mine dewatering network or from dedicated bores. Process water will be stored adjacent to the plant in a polyethylene lined process water dam. The following reagents will be required in the process and suitable systems for storage and controlled dosing have been provided in the process design: sodium cyanide, oxygen, quicklime, sodium hydroxide (Caustic Soda) and hydrochloric acid. The process facility will be controlled from PC based HMI systems located in the two control rooms for all other operations. Other infrastructure to include mine access roads (29kms new and approximately 90km upgrade), airstrip (suitable for Dash 8 100 - 36 persons), accommodation camp (140 persons), borefield, earthworks for process plant, accommodation camp, access road and access tracks, mechanical infrastructure for the process plant including potable water supply, sewerage treatment plants (camp and process plant), RO plant (potable water), process plant buildings and workshop, power station and light vehicle fuel storage facility and site communication system, administration offices, workshops and stores, mechanical infrastructure for the mine including fuel storage facility, heavy vehicle workshop and stores, heavy vehicle wash bay, tailings storage facility (TSF), electrical power supply via diesel operated power station (Build/Own/Operate) and light mobile vehicles. HOPE DOWNS IRON ORE PROJECT - DEWATERING

Work comprises the construction of the dewatering pipeline and discharge facilities for the Hope north pit. EMILY ANN INFRASTRUCTURE EXPANSION
Infrastructure Expansion project at 140 kM West of, Norseman, WA 6443 In The Council Area Of Dundas of Private. Expansion of existing infrastructure at Maggie Hays comprises upgrading the processing plant from 0.5 mtpa of ore to 1.5 mtpa. Downstream facilities of flotation, concrete handling, tails disposal, reagent mixing and process water systems would also be expanded. Other facilities such as the laydown area, both explosive magazines and mixing facility, the ROM pad, waste rock dump, fuel storage (2 x 55,000 litre tanks) will be expanded. WAROONA MINERAL SANDS PROJECT - RESOURCE
Mining - Civil Services (Water distribution & pipelines, borefields) project for New development. Current mineable reserve is approx 8.4 million tonnes with an average grade of 10.2% heavy mineral. The mine will process 2,600,000 tonnes of ore per annum. Major work will comprise stripping of the overburden, upgrading and relocation of a wet concentrator plant and nfrastructure. Development will comprise topsoil stripping, overburden removal, installation of drainage and noise bunds, hauls roads, offices, workshops, construction of a clean water dam and associated infrastructure. Associated infrastructure will include in pit hoppers, conveyors, wet screening plant comprising a double deck screen and scrubber, pumps and pipes. A concentrator will be transferred from Capel and it will have the capacity to produce 250 tonnes per hour of HMC ore. The ore when processed will be transported to the North Capel seperation plant. SCOTIA MINE - TIN/SAPPHIRE RESOURCE
Mining - Civil Services (Water distribution & pipelines, borefields) project at 3 Km North via the Cape Portland Rd, Gladstone, TAS 7264 for New. Development comprises mining the Scotia open pit, constructing three tailings dams, one fresh water dam and a gravity processing plant with associated conveyors. Scheduling of pre-mining site works is complete. Development will involve road and bridge upgrading, provision of new heavy vehicle access, dam site construction, commencement of pumping of freshwater to dam storage, treatment plant and site office and workshop infrastructure construction. Road engineering and bridge/culvert design are completed. The Company has already commenced dam wall foundation geotechnical works. DRAYTON COAL OPERATIONS EXTENSION PROJECT
Mining - Civil Services (Water distribution & pipelines, borefields) project for New development. Mining of an additional resource of 30 million tonnes from the Greta Coal Measures (targeting the Rowan formation) at a rate of up to 8 Mtpa to extend the mine life to 2017. The extension of mining will predominantly progress to the South of current operations; however, additional areas within the North and East of the project area are also proposed to be mined. The project will require some additional items of equipment to accommodate an increased rate of production such as: 1 x excavator, 3 x track dozers, 5 x 280 tonne rear dump trucks, 1 x additional drill, grader and watercart, plus other minor ancillary equipment. The existing Coal Handling Plant (CHP) & associated stockpile reclamation system will be upgraded in order to align the facilities with the proposed increase in annual production. A new 80 000 tonnes product coal stockpile & a 40 000 tonne domestic product coal stockpile are proposed to further assist production efficiencies. Minor changes to Drayton's water management system are also proposed to maximise water management & use at the mine. Drayton will continue to utilise dragline, excavators, loaders and a fleet of trucks to both uncover the coal & transport it to on-site processing and load-out facilities. Widening & deepening of existing pits concurrently at Nammuldi (Marra Mamba Pits A-F) & Silvergrass (Valley, Range & Flats Marra Mamba pits) which will require new permanent out-of-pit waste dump areas. Dewatering by in & out of pit bores at a maximum rate of 138ML/day at Nammuldi & 90ML/day at Silvergrass with water to be used in operations (processing, dust suppression, crib rooms, ablutions), piped to Brockman Syncline 4 mine, local agricultural irrigation or discharged into Duck or Caves Creeks. Ore to be transported by conveyor to one of 2 new wet processing plants with a combined capacity of 45 million tonne per annum (Mtpa). Overland pipelines to take plant waste fines to a new storage facility to be constructed north of Nammuldi. Construction also north of Nammuldi of a new rail loop & stockyards to link to the existing Brockman 2 spur for export through either Cape Lambert or Dampier. Associated infrastructure to include explosives storage, workshops (fabrication, heavy vehicle maintenance), offices, packaged water treatment plants, lay down areas, warehousing, a fuel storage tank with refuelling aprons & a concrete batching plant during construction. New 33kV power lines to be connected to the existing system. Construction also of a sealed access road to provide an all-weather traffic route from Tom Price to Silvergrass via Brockman 2 & Nammuldi.
