THE O BAHN EXTENSION CITY ACCESS PROJECT
The O Bahn Extension City Access Project is currently at the Construction stage, valued at about $ 160000000 it is REVISED CONCEPT : The State Government has released its revised plans for the O'Bahn City Access Project taking into account the extensive consultation with the community & stakeholders, such as the Adelaide City Council. Changes to the plan include: retaining the existing alignment of Rundle Road; reducing the impact on Rymill Park; extending the tunnel portal 140 metres west, closer to Grenfell Street; reducing the length at which buses travel at street level to 40 metres; removing the barrier between the bus tunnels to reduce the tunnel footprint; & creating an extra 50 car parks on east Terrace and Rundle Road. WIRRABARA COMMUNITY WASTEWATER MANAGEMENT SYSTEM

Tenders are invited for the construction of the collection network for the Wirrabara Community Wastewater Management System (the Works). The allotments within the township of Wirrabara are currently serviced by individual septic tanks, whereby wastewater is disposed of on site. A Community Wastewater Management System is to be installed in the town. Full sewage will be collected from allotments & transferred to a new Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP) on Wilds Rd at the old dump site. (Note that the design & construction of the WWTP is a separate contract.) The WWTP will collect sewage from approximately 200 connections within the town & treat it to produce Class B quality recycled water. The plant is estimated to have an average daily flow (ADF) of 80 kL/day. The following list indicates the main elements of the Works sufficient to ensure that the Tenderer is aware of the scope of the Tender. It does not detail duties, actions or items of supply on minor works which are self-evident or inherent to the satisfactory completion of the scheme as described in the tender documents. Preliminaries: This includes: 1) Site establishment (including the transportation of all personnel, plant & materials to & from the site & the provision of temporary site accommodation); 2) Quality control & quality assurance; 3) Obtaining all licenses & payment of fees where required for conduct of the Works & compliance with all regulations relating to the Works; 4) Environmental controls management; 5) Traffic management; 6) All setting out of works & survey for identifying boundary locations, connection points, temporary bench marks, etc; 7) Survey for property boundaries in all easements; 8) Service locating & depthing; 9) Consultation with all authorities regarding work around existing services; 10) Site security; 11) Site office (including the provision of all personnel, facilities & amenities for the administration of the works of the scheme including temporary connections to Telstra/NBN, SA Power Networks & SA Water); 12) Pegging of connection points; 13) As constructed drawings; 14) Dilapidation reports; 15) Line flushing; 16) Hydraulic testing; 17) Air Testing; 18) Compaction testing of trench backfill; 19) PC inspections & end of defects inspections; 20) Operations Manuals; 21) Site Meetings. Property Connections: Supply & Install 100mm diameter uPVC DWV Class SN6 pipe to form approximately 200 property connections, including inspection points & all other associated fittings, laid at the locations & levels shown on the supplied Drawings. The Tenderer shall place timber marking pickets for each new property connection as per the design drawings prior to any construction. All requests for connection relocations are to be approved by the Superintendent. The Tenderer is to locate & relocate any water connections that clash with the network design. The works have been divided into two areas which are 1) Mt Compass Scuplture Trail (next to the public restrooms), & 2) Mt Compass Stage 2 Streetscape (between Victor Harbor Rd & the IGA building). The Mt Compass Sculpture Trail was a location highlighted as part of the Adelaide Hills International Sculpture Synposium (AHISS). The area to be landscaped has 2 sculptures existing & will share similar landscape elements to other townships that have sculptures through the AHISS including the Basket Range crazy paving. The Stage 2 Streetscape is an extension of the gardens in front of the older existing shops which was landscaped prior to the IGA development. QUORN AIRSTRIP UPGRADE
Airstrip Rd, Quorn, SA 5433 Has Quorn Airstrip Upgrade currently at Construction stage. The Principal invites tenders for the provision of supply of labour, plant & materials for the upgrade of the Quorn Airstrip. The Quorn Airstrip provides vital emergency & recreational access to the area: a) The Quorn Airstrip is located approximately 6 km to the east of the Quorn Township, 330 km North of Adelaide SA. The airstrip is maintained & operated by the Council; b) The airstrip will be upgraded to provide access in all weather conditions, in particular to allow Royal Flying Doctors Service aircraft to operate throughout the year. In its current state, the airstrip is not suitable for use for extended periods following wet weather; c) The airstrip upgrade generally consists of earthworks to shape the runway formation to suit a 150 mm granular material overlay & modifying the geometric profile to confirm to the Manual of Standards 139 (MOS 139) requirements for Class 1b aircraft. Currently the runway geometry is not to MOS139 standards for width & crossfall; & d) To facilitate drainage, & with the intention to mitigate scour & ponding, the upgraded geometry will allow suitable surface flows. MAIN SOUTH & HILLIER ROADS INTERSECTION UPGRADE
Civil Engineering (Roads, Air runways, Surface car parks, Kerbs, Culverts, Elevated highways) project at Main South & Hillier Rds, Morphett Vale, SA 5162 of Roadworks type of New development. The intersection of Main South & Hillier Roads at Morphett Vale is being redesigned to make it less hazardous. Access from Main South Road to Hillier Road will change. The existing road will be blocked & replaced with a left turning lane slightly further north. The right-turning land from Hillier Road to Main South Road is to be realigned with an increased curve to allow the new left turning lane. A reversing bay will be installed within the blocked off section of Hillier Road to ease access for traffic entering & leaving properties.
