SOUTH EASTERN FREEWAY MOUNT BARKER BALD HILLS ROAD INTERCHANGE
A project in the SA Within Mount Barker. Site of the work is located approximately 3.7km to the East of the existing Mount Barker interchange. Work under this Tender includes the design & construction of the Bald Hills Rd Interchange including the upgrade of the Old Princes Hwy/Bald Hills Rd T-intersection & related works. Two separate options are under consideration for the scope of the works & these are described as follows: Option 1: (a) a full four ramp interchange with new roundabouts connecting the South East Fwy on & off ramps to Bald Hills Rd with service road provisions for Little Dublin Rd (east & west); (b) a new roundabout & approaches connecting the Old Princes Hwy & Bald Hills Rd with a provision for residential access; (c) realignment & widening of Bald Hills Rd with provision for a new lowered road pavement within the current underpass to provide a minimum clearance of 4.8 metres for vehicles; (d) provision of asphalt sealed shoulders on Bald Hills Rd & Old Princes Hwy junction (excluding within the Armco Underpass) which are suitable for use by cyclists; (e) an over height vehicle detection & alert system on either side of the Armco Underpass on Bald Hills Rd; (f) watercourse & stormwater provisions, infrastructure & drainage requirements; (g) lighting (including conduits & pits) for the following locations: 1) the entire interchange (inc on & off ramps, roundabouts & the south eastern freeway); 2) within the underpass (with infrared approach sensors (or similar) to activate during the night); 3) the new roundabout on the Old Princes Hwy & Bald Hills Rd junction; (h) Utility service relocations other than those listed in Clause 6; (i) Conduits & pits for future ITS infrastructure; & (j) Hydro-seeding &/or matting to prevent erosion of earthworks batters. Option 2: Option 2 is identical to Option 1, except that: (a) the east facing (Murray Bridge) ramps is only to be constructed to the following extent: 1) Bald Hills Rd OFF ramp on the south side of the South Eastern Fwy - a short length (3m) of ramp pavement, including wearing course, to be constructed to terminate close to the roundabout allowing future extension without interfering with traffic movements on the Bald Hills Rd roundabout; b) Murray Bridge ON ramp on the north side of the South Eastern Fwy- to be constructed only to the extent to clear the diverge between the incoming & outgoing traffic. To the extent shown on the sketch supplied. Construction shall provide for earthworks, drainage, lighting etc conforming to the requirements of the full interchange, however, with sealed shoulder pavement only abutting the off ramp pavement in lieu of the full depth on-ramp pavement. APY LANDS ROADWORKS

The Principal invites tenders for the provision of maintenance grading & minor road reconstruction works in the Anangu Pitjantjatjara Yankunytjatjara (APY) Lands in the far north west of South Australia. Written notification to the Contractor will be provided if this work is required. ANSTEY HILL RECREATION PARK CAR PARKS

INTRODUCTION In 2015-16 the DEWNR has funded visitor facility improvements to Anstey Hill Recreation Park as part of the Connecting Residents with Nature 2014 Election Commitment. The new visitor facilities are expected to achieve the following benefits: A) Improved visitor experience that capitalises on the sites natural features; B) Increased visitor numbers to the park; C) Increase in stewardship and volunteer activities in the park. Anstey Hill Recreational Park is one of eight AMLR Parks approved for visitor facility development as part of the AMLR Connecting Residents with Nature Election Commitment Project. Ansley Hill RP is scheduled to receive new car parking facilities, picnic sites, a toilet, sign upgrade & trails. DPTI has approved aself-management of all works. SCOPE The works in this contract include but are not limited to the following: Soft Landscape Works - a) Tree planting; b) Hard Landscape Works: c) Protection of trees to be retained; d) Temporary & permanent protective fencing; e) Removal of sections of existing fencing; f) Protection of adjacent environment; g) Services; h) Insitu Pavements: I) Rubble pavements; II) Concrete pavements; III) Bitumen pavements; i) Furniture, structures & fences: j) Toilet; k) Bollards; l) Wheel stops; m) Shelters; n) Post & wire fencing; o) Guardrails; p) Pavement marking; r) Drainage; & s) Earthworks. ENVIRONMENTAL MANAGEMENT - Tenderers are to note that the work site is located within a designated National Park, as such environmental management is a high priority. The successful tenderer must; 1. GORGE ROAD RETAINING WALLS
Retaining Walls (3) project at Gorge Rd (between Paracombe &, Cudlee Creek, SA 5232 in the Civil Engineering (Retaining walls, Seawalls). The Principal invites tenders for provision of the following: Description of Works: The recent wet winter has compromised sections of road embankments on Gorge Road. The Contract is divided into separate portions to account for the different construction considerations & their distance apart. Separate Portion A: A scour has occurred below the road embankment located at MM184 on Gorge Road, approximately 800m North of Torrens Hill Road (Site 3). The scour was caused by a high river level in the adjacent River Torrens. Gabions must be constructed to retain the road & shotcrete must be placed to repair minor erosion. Access along Gorge Road to the public must be retained with minimum one lane open under contra-flow. The Contractor is to minimise environmental impacts to the River Torrens which includes machinery in the river bed. Separate Portion B: Sites 1 & 2 are located at MM24.185 & MM24.67 respectively on Gorge Road, approximately 800m East of Cudlee Creek Road. A recent wet winter & fallen trees have caused instability below the road embankment & requires a retaining wall. A concrete footing & 3m concrete block wall must be constructed as at each site. The Contractor may close Gorge Road for the construction of these 2 walls however, the duration of the road closure must be minimised. DPTI require minimum 7 days notice before closing Gorge Road in order to notify local residents. The Contractor shall provide VMS advance notice at either end of the closure 7 days prior to closing Gorge Road. Click for more details...
