A project in the QLD Within Brisbane City. Ground floor alterations & fitout to the existing building to provide facilities for University of Queensland Faculty of Business Economics & Law on ground floor & levels 6 & 7. Chancellors office, executive support facilities & cafe on ground floor. Level 6 to provide MBA & executive education programs & office space. Level 7 to provide facilities for alumni & advancement related activity. Works to include removal of later partitions & joinery, fitting out the spaces with new lightweight partitions to form new classrooms, an alumni lounge, work space & associated amenities. Replace the shopfront at the north-eastern end with folding doors & clear glazed upper panels. The folding doors are for a new cafe which is to replace the existing front offices. A section of recent aluminium balustrade on the Queen Street alignment will also be removed & the entry threshold lowered to align with footpath levels. Internally, a false floor will be removed & new stairs connecting to the main space will be constructed. The platform lift installation also requires removal of a section of the existing concrete floor & allow at-grade entry into the cafe.
