GERMAN CREEK WASTE MINE GAS POWER PROJECT - GRASSTREE
Currently at the Construction stage In Isaac Regional is a project estimated to be $ 11000000. This project Energy Developments has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Anglo Coal for the development of a 32 megawatt waste coal seam methane (WCSM) power plant at the German Creek (Grasstree) mine. The project will utilise new technology, the Carburetted Gas Turbine (CGT), developed by Energy Developments for the utilisation of ultra lean fuels in gas turbines. The Australian Greenhouse Office, the Commonwealth Government agency responsible for greenhouse matters, has awarded a $15.47 million grant to the project under the Greenhouse Gas Abatement Program. The focus of the CGT development to date has been on the utilisation of ventilation air from underground coal mines. The 2.5MW CGT prototype has demonstrated that the technology can be successfully applied on a commercial scale. Click for more details...

CURTIS ISLAND LNG (QCLNG) PROJECT - LNG PLANT
Currently at the Construction stage In Gladstone Regional is a project estimated to be $ 8000000000. This project QCLNG is a project to develop coal seam gas wells in the Surat & Bowen Basins, pipe gas to a processing plant to be built on Curtis Island & then export product LNG by ship. The LNG plant to have an ultimate capacity of up to 12 million tonnes per annum (Mtpa) from 3 LNG trains, each of 3 to 4 Mtpa production capacity. These involve feed gas metering & filtration to remove entrained pipeline debris; gas processing to remove carbon dioxide & other components contained in the gas; gas chilling & drying in a 3-bed molecular sieve system to remove the final traces of water;dry gas processing through activated carbon bed system for mercury removal & gas refrigeration for liquefaction to LNG . The refrigeration systems to be powered by gas turbines equipped with dry low NOx emission systems; heat removal (as part of the liquefaction process) using fin coolers. Onshore LNG storage in tanks including 2 LNG storage tanks up to 200,000cu m for the first 2 trains & a tank of similar size for the third train; 1 butane storage tank up to 100,000cu m (including vapour recovery system) for imported butane required for spiking LNG product to meet a required high heating value (HHV) along with ancillary equipment & infrastructure including flares. Storage of refrigerant as well diesel fuel, lube oil etc. Associated infrastructure to include fuel gas systems; effluent treatment & outfall for treated wastewater, power generation/distribution; fire protection systems; water systems including seawater desalination plant for process & potable water supply. Additional buildings to include compressor control building, analyser shelter, maintenance buildings, offices and staff amenities building. A temporary pioneer construction camp to accommodate 100-300 people expected to be built within the LNG facility area before early site preparation activities for the first LNG train. This camp will be replaced by a larger construction camp on Curtis Island and/or on the mainland during the LNG Facility construction to house a workforce of 3000 approx people. The construction camp expected to include necessary amenities such as a dining hall & kitchen, a primary health care facility & recreation centre. via Peak Downs Hwy 16km southwest of, Coppabella, QLD 4741 Has Millennium Coal Operations Expansion currently at Construction stage. A project to expand the 2million tonnes per annum (Mtpa) operations to 5.5Mtpa Run-of-Mine (ROM) coal for 3.6Mtpa product coal for up to 16 years. Development of the new Mavis Pit by contract mining comprising conventional open-cut truck & excavator terrace mining. Possibility of minor upgrade & a new ROM stockpile at the existing coal handling & preparation plant (CHPP). Temporary waste rock emplacements prior to likely ultimate disposal in the Millennium Pit void. Construction of haul roads across New Chum Creek & possible alteration of the Millennium/Poitrel access road. Establishment of a 2km long drainage system along the northern boundary of the new pit as well as 15 new sediment dams. AUSTRALIA PACIFIC LNG (APLNG) PROJECT - GAS PIPELINE

Part of a coal seam gas (CSG) to liquefied natural gas (LNG) project with Origin Energy responsible for developing CSG gas fields & transmission pipeline, ConocoPhillips responsible for developing a LNG processing plant & their joint venture company Australia Pacific LNG responsible for the export facilities. A 42 inch (1070mm) diameter, high pressure main pipeline to commence east of Wandoan at its junction with a 44km lateral pipeline from gas developments at Condabri & a 38km lateral from Woleebee gas developments south of Miles. To travel 362km underground with a marine crossing at The Narrows between Kangaroo Island & Port Curtis Island to finish at the LNG plant near Laird Point. Inlet stations to allow for insertion of cleaning & inspection equipment to be constructed at the start of the Condabri & Woleebee laterals & at their intersection a 0.5ha APLNG hub comprising the inlet station for the main pipeline, isolation valves & connections for future compression to also be constructed. Development of up to 5 x 15-20ha laydown areas to receive materials (Miles, Wandoan, Theodore, Biloela, Gladstone areas). 3 temporary accommodation camps each up to 15ha & operating for 3-7 months to be relocated along the pipeline route as required. CAVAL RIDGE COAL PROJECT - COAL PREPARATION PLANT & RAIL FACILITIES

The proposed Caval Ridge CHPP will have a nominal feed capacity of 2 000 t/h and is capable of processing 14-16 Mt/a to produce a nominal 8 Mt/a of hard coking coal, 5.5 Mt/a of which will be sourced from the Caval Ridge Mine & the balance to come by conveyor from the expanded Peak Downs mine. The facility shall operate seven days per week on a continuous basis. The CHPP will consist of: ROM dump hopper for primary sizing; secondary and tertiary sizers with intermediate screening; raw coal stockpiles with mechanised stacking and reclaim facilities; 2 module coal preparation plant, nominally 1000 tph, per module; product coal stockpiles with mechanised stacking and reclaim facilities; train loadout to the north of the Peak Downs Highway, a conveyor will transport material crossing the highway; reject bin and handling system and ultrafine tailings dewatering system. Water supply to be a combination of site water reuse & a raw water supply via a new off take pipeline from existing bulk pipelines. Process plant water will be recycled to minimise raw water make-up requirements for the site.
