LIDDELL COAL COLLIERY - RESOURCE
Mine - Coal New project In The Singleton Council Area. Existing operation produces 4.5 Mtpa of Rom coal and the CHPP processes 700 tonnes per hour. A proposal has been approved to increase ROM coal production to 8 Mtpa. Associated development will comprise the construction of a new Coal Handling Plant, establishment of a new supplementary stockpile with capacity of 450,000 tonnes, alter the planned 1500 ML Dam 13B footprint, construct a bridge over the main Northern Railway to improve transport between existing coal pits, alter an access road to the CHPP, relocation of offices, workshop and storage area and an associated access road, and the construction of a desalination unit within the CHPP area for the treatment of mine water. A change to thin-seam mining with the south-east extension will necessitate new longwall equipment and an upgrade of the trunk conveyor system. Trunk belt capacity is likely to be expanded from 3,500 tonnes per hour to 4,5000 tonnes per hour. Oaky Creek Coal collectively produces 7 million tonnes a year export coking coal from underground longwall operations. BATCHELOR MAGNESIUM PROJECT
Infrastructure project at Rum Jungle district 85 km south of, Darwin, NT 0800 in the Mining - Infrastructure (Roads, Airstrips, Culverts, Retaining walls). Following completion of the Stage one Feasibility study, locations were selected for each of the facilities necessary for development of the Project. All available technical data relating to each site was compiled and reviewed. Some further exploration drilling was carried out. DALRYMPLE BAY COAL TERMINAL - FURTHER EXPANSION
Mining - Infrastructure (Conveyors, Stackers, Reclaimers, Materials handling) project at Hay Point Rd, Hay Point, QLD 4740 of Coal Terminal - Expansion type of New development. First phase will take capacity to 68 million tonnes by July 2007. More specifically work onshore will involve a new out loading conveyor system from the stockyard feeding to a new surge bin and sample plant complex (surge bin 3). This will feed to a new shuttling head conveyor that can feed either of the two existing jetty conveyors and a third future conveyor. Offshore work involves a new conveyor L15 gallery structure, a 10 metre widening of the existing jetty by addition of a third pile and an extension of the existing steel headstock at each bent. A new access roadway in between conveyors L5 and L15 to provide maintenance access to L15. An extension of existing conveyor L17 tail. A new drive tower and transfer tower at the head of L15, supported upon a piled platform that will also provide for roadway access to this area and relocated transformers. PILBARA IRON ORE & INFRASTRUCTURE PROJECT - ORE PREPERATION PLANT
Mining - Infrastructure (Concrete Batching Plants) project at Cloud Break Mine Site, Pilbara area via, Newman, WA 6753 for New. Ore Preparation Plant (OPP) is to comprise a crushing and screening operations. The facilities include a screen house, crushers, stockpiles and trainloader. The operation will process ore transported by a conveyor firstly to a portable crusher and sizer located at the operating face of the Cloud Break mine. When the ROM ore has been crushed and sized it will be transported via a conveyor to the screener and crusher. Ore will be sorted into super value fines, high grade fines, high grade lump and lower grade ore. The first three types of ore will be conveyed to the train loading station and shipped to Port Hedland. The low grade will be stockpiled for the future when the Christmas Creek Beneficiation Plant is constructed. Operating facilities at the plant will comprise a Sample Tester, Plant/Workshop store, Communication Tower, High Voltage Switchyard, Sewage Treatment Plant, Potable Water Plant including a Water Tank, Temporary Diesel Power Station, Control Room, Workshops, Laboratories, Amenities area, OPP Administration area including a Store, Laboratory, Emergency Response Centre and Administration building, Mining administration area, Car Parks, two Fuel Farms and a Vehicle Washdown Facility including a washdown slab and an oil separator and automated facilities. IRON ORE RAPID GROWTH 4 PROJECT - NEWMAN HUB
Newman Hub project at Newman Hub, Newman, WA 6753 in the Mining - Infrastructure (Conveyors, Stackers, Reclaimers, Materials handling). The RGP4 modifications include the final tie-ins that convert the existing Newman Operations from a production plant producing secondary crushed ore (with a nominal top size of -100mm) to a plant producing shipping quality lump and fines products. The main features of the new tie-in, starting at TS2 are: A new transfer tower, 41SE010, built immediately to the NE of the existing TS2, in line with conveyor M110. This tower is structurally linked to TS2. The tail end of the existing conveyor M110 is removed and replace by a new conveyor. 41CV010, which runs in the opposite direction and discharges ore to a new transfer conveyor, 41CV020, the tail of which is in the new transfer tower 41SE010. Connecting to the existing Newman High Grade (NHG) discharge in TS2 (ore from #2 Plant and Bene Plant product). Construction of a new single rotary cell train car dumping facility, a new crushing and screening plant to include scalping with middlings recirculation to produce sized lump and fines product. Construction of a new blending stockyard 5 x 210kt lump and fines, live and dead including stacking and reclaim machines, to produce a direct-shippable blended lump and fines product. Construction of sampling facilities for reconciliation of production from the various ore sources (NHB and SOB sites) and as-stacked blend control on the stockpiles. Construction of a new drive through train loading (TLO) facility with separate lump and fines sections. Modifications and additional track at the entrance of Newman Hub rail loop and new loco services facility near the existing Hub workshops. Modifications and additional tracks and realingments in the vicinity of the existing OB29 train loading facility for connections to new car dumper and train loading facility. These works include the additional SOBs train by pass line. Deconstruction of PB29 conveyors M301, M309, M311 transfer station TS3, part deconstruction M308 and the removal of the entire OB29 train Load-out facility. The deconstruction works also include removal of sections of existing rail line made redundant by the Newman Hub works. Decommissioning of the existing train load-out stackers No 1 & 2, stacker conveyors M110 and M6 and the existing train loading tunnels (demolition not included in the RGP4 scope). IRON ORE RAPID GROWTH 4 PROJECT - CRUSHING & SCREENING PLANT
Crushing & Screening Plant project at Newman Hub, Newman, WA 6753 in the Mining - Infrastructure (Conveyors, Stackers, Reclaimers, Materials handling). The screening facility comprises two buildings located in close proximity (one bay apart). The first building consists of five scalping screen bays that are fed by a continuously traveling shuttle head conveyor. Each bay consists of a surge bin that is emptied by a vibrating diverging pan feeder that distributes and feeds a double deck banana scalping screen. The second building consists of seven product screen bays that are fed by a continuously traveling tripper. Each bay consists of a surge bin that is emptied by a vibrating diverging pan feeder that distributes and feeds a double deck banana product screen. The crushing building consists of three crushing bays that are fed by a continuously traveling shuttle head conveyor. Each bay consists of a surge bin that is emptied by a vibrating feeder. Each vibrating feeder feeds a short belt conveyor that, in turn, feeds a cone crusher. The screening building has two dust collection systems. (one for each end of the building) and the crushing building has one dust collection system. Each system comprises reticulated ductwork, reverse pulse air cleaning type bag house c/w- bags, compressor, air receiver and receiving hoppers that are discharged by rotary valves back onto the adjacent mainline conveyors. CAVAL RIDGE COAL PROJECT - COAL PREPARATION PLANT & RAIL FACILITIES
Mining - Infrastructure (Conveyors, Stackers, Reclaimers, Materials handling) project at 16km south of, Moranbah, QLD 4744 of Coal Preparation Plant/Rail Loadout/Conveyor/Roads type of New development. The proposed Caval Ridge CHPP will have a nominal feed capacity of 2 000 t/h and is capable of processing 14-16 Mt/a to produce a nominal 8 Mt/a of hard coking coal, 5.5 Mt/a of which will be sourced from the Caval Ridge Mine & the balance to come by conveyor from the expanded Peak Downs mine. The facility shall operate seven days per week on a continuous basis. The CHPP will consist of: ROM dump hopper for primary sizing; secondary and tertiary sizers with intermediate screening; raw coal stockpiles with mechanised stacking and reclaim facilities; 2 module coal preparation plant, nominally 1000 tph, per module; product coal stockpiles with mechanised stacking and reclaim facilities; train loadout to the north of the Peak Downs Highway, a conveyor will transport material crossing the highway; reject bin and handling system and ultrafine tailings dewatering system. Water supply to be a combination of site water reuse & a raw water supply via a new off take pipeline from existing bulk pipelines. Process plant water will be recycled to minimise raw water make-up requirements for the site. A project for a 5 year life-of-mine (LoM) extension by expanding the existing South pit followed by expansion of the Entrance pit after which a new MIA pit to be developed involving relocation of the current mine infrastructure area.
