ULAN COAL OPERATIONS - CONVEYORS
A project in the NSW Within Upper Hunter. The overland conveyor will be 2 km long and have 1400 t/h capacity. An underground truck conveyor will be upgraded and extended to a total length of 3.2 km. Also a new 4250 t/h stackout conveyor that is 1.6 km long will be installed and it will extend across an open cut haul road via culvert underpass to a 400,000 tonne overall hub stockpile. YABULU NICKEL REFINERY EXTENSION - MHP RECEIVAL/TREATMENT FACILITIES CONTRACT
New project of Mining - Infrastructure (Conveyors, Stackers, Reclaimers, Materials handling) project at Refinery site at, Yabulu, QLD 4818. Contract package 4 involves a MHP leach area, ammonical solvent extraction area and a stripping stills and gas absorption area. This package involves construction on top of concrete, structural, mechanical, piping, electrical, instrumentation and controls for what are generally hydrometallurgical facilities. The contract involves both greenfield and brownfield work. The MHP Receival & Treatment Facilities include container storage and unloading and primary and secondary leaching facilities. The intermediate product (MHP) from Ravensthorpe will be received at Yabulu where it will be stockpiled in a weatherproof environment prior to feeding into a two stage leaching process. New material handling equipment will be constructed to process the additional MHP. Extension of the existing utilities plant will be required to provide additional power, steam and process gases. This includes a package plant for nitrogen generation by the pressure swing absorption process. Anhydrous ammonia will be imported to supplement ammonia currently produced on site. Koolyanobbing Iron Ore Expansion Project is currently at the Construction stage, valued at about $ 320000000 it is The proposal is comprised of the following main components: mining areas which include open cut mine pits, overburden landform and general operational areas. A haul road of approximately 10.7km length is required for the transport of the excavated ore from the mine to existing processing facilities at Koolyanobbing. A gravel pit will also be required for construction of the haul road. Consultancy On Tailings Storage Facility Performance & Proposed Height Increase project at Golden Mile via, Kalgoorlie, WA 6430 In The Council Area Of Kalgoorlie-Boulder of Private. PILBARA IRON ORE & INFRASTRUCTURE PROJECT - PORT HEDLAND PORT FACILITIES
Currently at the Construction stage In Port Hedland is a project estimated to be $ 689700000. This project Port facilities comprise a stockyard at 2.5 Mt capacity. Materials handling facility comprising a Train unloader, 22 Conveyors and transfer points, Rescreening plant , two Stackers (8000 tph each), a Reclaimer (10,000 tph), two 300,000 tonne stock piles and a bulk stockpile area. The Materials handling facility will use a rotary car dumping cell to simultaneously tip two ore carriages. Iron ore from each wagon will be dumped into individual surge hoppers and then onto conveyors located at the base of the structure which will deliver the ore through an upward sloping tunnel to the nearby stockpiling area. In order to house the the Train Loader a 22 metre high concrete vault will be constructed to allow ore carriages to be tipped in an efficient manner. Extensive excavation work will be required because approxiamtely 18 metres is below existing ground surface. An associated ramp and conveyor system will be constructed. During excavation construction a significant ammount of dewatering will be required. Port development will include a proposed 750m long single wharf, a Shiploader (10,000 tph), 3.3 million cubic metres of dredging with ongoing maintenance dredging, shipping berth to allow for two 250,000 DWT vessels to be berthed. One berth includes wharf and shiploader. The other includes a berth only. Supporting infrastructure includes a shift office, control room and amenities, wharf amenities, package treatment plant and substations. Click for more details...

TIWI ISLANDS MINERAL SAND PROJECT - OPERATING MINE
Tiwi Islands Mineral Sand Project - Operating Mine is currently at the Construction stage, valued at about $ 4500000 it is Resource estimate is 6,980,000 tonnes @ 4.4% HM. Reserves are 6,530,000 tonnes @ 4.5% HM and 87% VHM. Mine life is expected to be six years. Targeted annual production of 35,000 tonnes per annum. Dry mining is the method of mining adopted by the feasibility study. The development will use a front end loader operating in a dry environment loading a feeder to a conventional wet spiral concentrator. The concentrate will then be trucked to the Port Melville deep water port for shipment direct to China. An off take agreement has signed with Astron Limited to take all production from the mine. DALRYMPLE BAY COAL TERMINAL - FURTHER EXPANSION
Mining - Infrastructure (Conveyors, Stackers, Reclaimers, Materials handling) project at Hay Point Rd, Hay Point, QLD 4740 of Coal Terminal - Expansion type of New development. First phase will take capacity to 68 million tonnes by July 2007. More specifically work onshore will involve a new out loading conveyor system from the stockyard feeding to a new surge bin and sample plant complex (surge bin 3). This will feed to a new shuttling head conveyor that can feed either of the two existing jetty conveyors and a third future conveyor. Offshore work involves a new conveyor L15 gallery structure, a 10 metre widening of the existing jetty by addition of a third pile and an extension of the existing steel headstock at each bent. A new access roadway in between conveyors L5 and L15 to provide maintenance access to L15. An extension of existing conveyor L17 tail. A new drive tower and transfer tower at the head of L15, supported upon a piled platform that will also provide for roadway access to this area and relocated transformers. PARDOO IRON ORE PROJECT
Pardoo Iron Ore Project is currently at the Construction stage, valued at about $ 8300000 it is The project is based on an identified iron ore (hematite) resource of approximately 7.4Mt. The project proposes an ore production rate of 1.5 Mtpa, resulting in a mining life of 5 - 6 years. The project involves the open cut mining of eight small pits in five deposits to obtain direct-shipping quality iron ore. The ore will be crushed, screened and stockpiled on site prior to being loaded into rail trains for road haulage to the appropriate berth at Port Hedland. Ore will be stockpiled at the port until it is loaded onto ships for export to overseas customers. The major components of the Pardoo DSO Project are: minesite establishment, mining operations, product transport and export and decommissioning and closure. The minesite access road and temporary construction yard and administration area will be the first infrastructure constructed. The mining operations centre (MOC) will be located in the northern portion of the minesite and contains the following infrastructure: administration area including Atlas facilities, mining contractor's facilities, crushing and screening contractor's facilities, haulage contractors facilities, sewerage treatment and waste water storage, potable water storage, common parking area. The MOC will also contain a fuel storage and refuelling area, power station (diesel), crushing and screening plant, ROM ore pad and product stockpiling area, parking areas and portions of the access road and haul road, and combined contractor's laydown area. Haul roads will be constructed between the pits, waste rock dumps, stockpiles and ROM pad stockpile. Minor access roads will provide access to waste rock dumps and inspection points, dewatering equipment, water management structures, environmental discharge locations and other minesite management areas. The proposed mining operation will be a multiple, open pit mining operation, using conventional drill and blast and load and haul methods. Ore from the pits will be hauled directly to the ROM pad or temporarily stockpiled adjacent to the pits. The crushing and screening plant will provide primary and secondary crushing and screening. NEWCASTLE COAL INFRASTRUCTURE GROUP COAL TERMINAL 3 REMAINING STAGES
Coal Terminal - Stage 3/2f project at Cormorant Rd (Lots 6-7 DP4015754 Lot 20 DP252325) Kooragang Island, Kooragang, NSW 2304 in the Mining - Infrastructure (Conveyors, Stackers, Reclaimers, Materials handling). The main activities associated with the development of the Newcastle Infrastructure Group Coal Export Terminal would include: dredging of three berths in the south arm of the Hunter River to construct a serviceable port for the export of coal; reuse of dredged sands as preload and engineering fill for construction; disposal of unsuitable dredged sediments at sea in accordance with relevant sea dumping permits; construction of wharf facilities and ship loaders; construction of a Coal Storage Area including coal stockpiles, transfer stations, conveyors, stackers and reclaimers; remediation works including capping of selected areas of the existing Kooragang Island Waste Facility for the development of the rail spur and rail loops; construction of a rail spur and two rail loops, road/rail overpasses, unloading stations and connecting conveyors; installation of power supply, reticulation and control systems; development of access roads and internal roads; development of water management infrastructure including site drainage works, collection ponds and stockpile spray system; and construction of administration and workshop buildings.The plant capacity is designed for up to 66Mtpa, and will be built in 3 stages with the initial stage for 33Mtpa. FIMISTON GOLD MINE OPERATIONS EXTENSION STAGE 3
Gold Mine Expansion project at Goldfields Highway Via, Kalgoorlie, WA 6430 In The Council Area Of Kalgoorlie-Boulder of Private. Development will comprise the expansion of the open pit, waste rock dumps and Tailings Storage Facility (TSF). The open pit expansion known as the Golden Pike Cutback will be widened and deepened to approx 670 metres and therby extending the life of the mine until 2017. The Golden Pike Cutback is estimated to hold 2 million ounces of gold. There a number of options for tailings disposal. Option preferred is to heighten the level of the two existing TSF from 30 metres to 40 metres. Other options include recommissioning the Kaltails TSF or constructing Fiminsto 3 TSF. This would cover an area of 150 hectares and would comprise associated infrastructure such as roads and recant ponds. BENAMBRA MINE REHABILITATION PROJECT - STAGE 3 - EARTHWORKS

DAMPIER IRON ORE PORT UPGRADE PROJECT
Port Expansion Phase B New project In The City Of Karratha Council Area. Expansion of port capacity from 116 Mtpa to 140 Mtpa of iron ore. Presently construction works for the previous expansion to 95 Mtpa will be completed by December 2005. A proposal to expand to 120 Mtpa is before State Government authorities at present but does not involve any new construction, only utilising existing infrastructure at Parker Point. Expansion to 140 Mtpa will involve significant new construction work. Development options include upgrading the Parker Point and East Intercourse Island operations and the development of a new greenfields site. MOUNT NEWMAN IRON ORE OPERATIONS - OREBODY 25 EXTENSION - RESOURCE

Development comprises increasing ore production from approximately 7 Mtpa to 8 Mtpa. PILBARA IRON ORE & INFRASTRUCTURE PROJECT - ORE PREPERATION PLANT

Ore Preparation Plant (OPP) is to comprise a crushing and screening operations. The facilities include a screen house, crushers, stockpiles and trainloader. The operation will process ore transported by a conveyor firstly to a portable crusher and sizer located at the operating face of the Cloud Break mine. When the ROM ore has been crushed and sized it will be transported via a conveyor to the screener and crusher. Ore will be sorted into super value fines, high grade fines, high grade lump and lower grade ore. The first three types of ore will be conveyed to the train loading station and shipped to Port Hedland. The low grade will be stockpiled for the future when the Christmas Creek Beneficiation Plant is constructed. Operating facilities at the plant will comprise a Sample Tester, Plant/Workshop store, Communication Tower, High Voltage Switchyard, Sewage Treatment Plant, Potable Water Plant including a Water Tank, Temporary Diesel Power Station, Control Room, Workshops, Laboratories, Amenities area, OPP Administration area including a Store, Laboratory, Emergency Response Centre and Administration building, Mining administration area, Car Parks, two Fuel Farms and a Vehicle Washdown Facility including a washdown slab and an oil separator and automated facilities. A desliming plant will also be constructed. Future expansion of the OPP will include a Desand Plant and associated infrastructure. The developer is currently designing the Desanding plant. CLOVERDALE MINERAL SANDS PROJECT - RESOURCE
Resource - Mineral Sands project at 6Km South South East of, Capel, WA 6271 In The Council Area Of Capel of Private. Resource estimate is 3.5 million tonnes @ 18% heavy mineral sands. Heavy Mineral Concentrate production will occur at 450,000 tonnes per year. Mining will be carried out by scrapers or truck and shovel excavating the ore and hauling it to the in pit hopper. The ore will be conveyed from the Hopper to the existing wet screening plant at Yoganup West and the concentrator at Yoganup. After processing the ore will be transported by truck to Capel for further processing. The mine will use the existing infrastructure at Yoganup and only an earthmoving contractors area will be installed at the mine site. ROY HILL IRON ORE PROJECT - INFRASTRUCTURE - NORTHERN RAIL
Mining - Infrastructure (Roads, Airstrips, Culverts, Retaining walls) project In The Port Hedland Council Area of Private ownership. It is proposed to develop a railway of approximately 320km to transport iron ore from the Roy Hill 1 mine to facilities at Port Hedland and the proposed Boodarie multiuser stockyard area which is to be vested in the PHPA (Port Hedland Port Authority). The railway proposal includes: a marshalling yard (with associated workshops and maintenance facilities storage and laydown areas, rail welding yard), passing loops and sidings, construction water bores and 'turkeys nest' dams, borrow and ballast areas for construction material, communications cable, towers and signalling system, construciton works accommodation camps and amenities for workers, access roads and construction power supplies. Five train sets will be required to transport 55 Mtpa, with each train consisting of two diesel electric locomotives and 232 iron ore wagons. When spares are included, this will entail a fleet of 17 locomotives and 1790 wagons. Fuel supply trains will require one additional AC locomotive and 12 tanker cars. An unsealed, at-grade access road will run adjacent to and generally parallel to the proposed railway for its entire length, for the purposes of railway access and maintenance. The road pavement width will be approximately 9m wide. Seven sidings are expected to be required along the entire length of the railway to allow trains travelling in opposite directions to pass. Additional sidings called "back-tracks" will be provided on the back to eh passing sidings along the alignment as required to allow removal of 'bad-order' wagons (mechanical fault). Road crossings will be at grade or grade separated in accordance with the requirements of Main Roads of Western Australia. Level crossings on access roads will be protected with signs that comply with this standard. To preserve current land uses in a way that is compatible with the proposed railway, fencing and/or controls will need to be installed at occupational rail crossings, vehicle the paths, livestock grids and in other areas where access requires controlling or restricting. Watercourses crossings will consist of culverts or bridges. Culverts will be used in preference to bridges. For bridges, to provide a simple and efficient method of construction, the design of the rail bridges will be standardised for fast construction requiring a minimum quantity of in situ concrete. The span length proposed is 25m. The construction methodology will be to at 25m intervals drive circular steel pier columns as a "trestle" consisting of three members with the two outer members raking and the central pier column vertical. A heavy hardstand granular pavement is required for installation of piled substructure over the full length of each bridge primarily to provide safe, stable access for heavy plant and equipment. The width of the hardstand on both the upstream and downstream sides of the piers will be approximately 20m, ie a total fo 40m wide. Hardstand will remain in service until superstructure units are placed by heavy cranage. Prefabricated steel headstocks will be lifted into place by a crane and site welded to the pier columns. Decks will consist of prefabricated composite girders or steel through girder construction. The marshalling yard will be adjacent to the main line and will incorporate 10 rail tracks. The site is expected to accommodate a rolling-stock workshop and washdown bay, locomotive provisioning hall, rail infrastructure yard, diesel fuel storage, electrical substation, communications tower, administration building, car parks, potable and wastewater treatment units and fire-water storage and access roads.
