HUNTER VALLEY COAL OPERATIONS
Product Coal Feed Bin project at Lemington Rd, Lemington, NSW 2330 In The Council Area Of Singleton of Private. Coal and Allied Operations Pty Ltd operates open cut coal mines and coal preparation plants in the Hunter Valley at Mount Thorley, Hunter Valley Operations (Howick, Hunter Valley and Lemington), Warkworth, Ravensworth and Bengalla Mines. Coal and Allied is interested in receiving Expressions of Interest from companies that can provide professional services for the staged design and construction of a product coal feed bin at the Hunter Valley Operations Load Point. Stage 1 will include site investigation, conceptual design and budget preparation. Stage 2 will encompass design and construction for the completion of the works. all works will comply to stringent Coal & Allied safety standards. It is envisaged that the design process will be highly consultative iwth existing operations, with a key element of the work being the minimisation of disruptions to current train loading facilities during construction. It is envisaged that conceptual works and budget preparation be completed by 1 December 2001 with final works completed (pending internal finanical approval) by the third quarter of 2002. LIDDELL COAL COLLIERY - RESOURCE
Mine - Coal New project In The Singleton Council Area. Existing operation produces 4.5 Mtpa of Rom coal and the CHPP processes 700 tonnes per hour. A proposal has been approved to increase ROM coal production to 8 Mtpa. Associated development will comprise the construction of a new Coal Handling Plant, establishment of a new supplementary stockpile with capacity of 450,000 tonnes, alter the planned 1500 ML Dam 13B footprint, construct a bridge over the main Northern Railway to improve transport between existing coal pits, alter an access road to the CHPP, relocation of offices, workshop and storage area and an associated access road, and the construction of a desalination unit within the CHPP area for the treatment of mine water. LIDDELL COAL OPERATIONS - COAL HANDLING PREPARATION PLANT
Coal Handling Preparation Plant project at 20 Km North West of, Singleton, NSW 2330 In The Council Area Of Singleton of Private. Construction of a new Coal Handling Preparation Plant. This will involve the construction of a new preparation section, upgrades to the ROM receival and product coal facilities. The new preparation area will be located next to the old CHPP and its capacity will be 1200 tonnes per hour. This will include new screening, cyclone and spiral components for the plant. Upgrades to the ROM receival equipment include shortening of the apron feeder, a new rotating star wheel, new sizers and an increase in the drive power and length of the ROM conveyor. Modifications to the product handling equipment will include a short product conveyor to collect coal from the new CHPP to be deposited at a new transfer station onto the existing product stockpile rising conveyor. The existing road truck type coarse rejects bin will be replaced by a larger bin capable of loading mining sized trucks. LIDDELL COAL OPERATIONS EXPANSION
Mining - Infrastructure (Conveyors, Stackers, Reclaimers, Materials handling) project at Old New England Hwy, Ravensworth, NSW 2330 for New. A project for a 5 year life-of-mine (LoM) extension by expanding the existing South pit followed by expansion of the Entrance pit after which a new MIA pit to be developed involving relocation of the current mine infrastructure area. Construction of a new conveyor & transfer point to link to the existing overland conveyor to allow transfer of up to 1.5 million tonnes per annum (Mtpa) of coal to the Ravensworth coal handling & preparation plant (CHPP) now that the demolished Cumnock CHPP is no longer available to take excess run-of-mine (ROM) coal. A new 50,000t stockpile at the new conveyor & expansion of the existing ROM stockpile capacity to 200,000t as well as a new tailings emplacement area in the South Pit void.
