COBURN MINERAL SANDS PROJECT - MINING CONTRACT
Private ownership Mining - Infrastructure (Tailings, Dams, Water supply dams) project In The Shark Bay Council Area for New development. Mining will be carried out in a three stage process. Firstly top soil removed by scrappers and stockpiled for rehabilitation. Secondly, overburden removed by bucket wheel excavator and conveyed into the void left by mining of the ore. This project Overland/tunnel conveyor will transport ore from Finucane Island to the DRI Plant, approximately 7.5 km southwest of Port Hedland and then return the hot briquetted iron product back to Finucane Island for export. This rates contract is based on tonnages, for example, PIC are to fabricate approximately 720t of structural steel. NIMARY - GOLD
Mine - Treatment Plant - Relocation Addition project In The Wiluna Council Area. Second hand Labouchere plant purchased from Dominion Mining. Contract to involve dismantling the carbon-in-pulp plant & transporting it from site 180 km north of Meekatharra to new mine 40 km northeast of Wiluna. Plant to then be reassembled & some modifications to be undertaken prior to recommissioning. The 500,000tpa carbon-in-pulp/carbon-in-leach plant to be expanded to 650,000tpa. Additional requirements include tankage, structural steel, mechanical & piping works. Refurbishment of existing facilities & installation of new equipment also included in this tender. PARKESTON POWER STATION

NELSON POINT - IRON
Mining - Infrastructure (Conveyors, Stackers, Reclaimers, Materials handling) project at Site facilities via, Port Hedland, WA 6721 for New. The project envisaged to expand the capacity of Nelson Point facilities from approximately 54mt of iron ore per year to approximately 64mt, needed to meet the increasing demand for handling and shipping of iron ore from Newman's Yandi mine and from the DRI/HBI plant. The expansion of facilities will include installation of a third ore dumper to take ore from iron ore trains and speed up the unloading process. Also, the Number 2 crushing and screening plant is to be upgraded at the railhead with new conveyors and related infrastructure. A new marshalling yard incorporating a continuous loop train assembly (to avoid bottlenecking) will be built on the southern side of the existing facility, while new passing loops are to be built on the Jimblebar spur line and the main Newman rail line. DAMPIER IRON ORE PORT OPERATIONS - PARKER POINT

RAVENSTHORPE NICKEL PROJECT - TREATMENT PLANT PACKAGES
A project in the WA Within Ravensthorpe. Processing includes a combination of pressure acid leach (PAL), atmospheric leach (AL) and Enhanced Pressure Acid Leach (EPAL). The EPAL process entails separate mining, stockpiling and beneficiation of Ilmonite ( high iron, low magnesium and calcium, upper levels) ore. The ilmonite is treated by PAL, whilst the saprolite is treated by AL using the PAL discharge and additional acid. This allows recovery of an additional 15,000 tpa of nickel. The process downstream of the leaching circuit uses the Cawse flowsheet with partial neutralisation, followed by separation of the barrren tailings from the nickel bearing solution, further impurity removal and preciptiation of MHP. This intermediate product is then transported to the QNI Yabulu refinery. Click for more details...

HOPE DOWNS IRON ORE PROJECT - DEWATERING
New project of Mining - Infrastructure (Computer & telecommunication system for mine, scada) project at 75 Km Northwest of, Newman, WA 6753. Mine water usage will be 6.94 Mega litres per day. Work comprises the construction of the dewatering pipeline and discharge facilities for the Hope north pit. Construction will also include collector pipes, main discharge pipeline, 13 buried 152 mm diameter polythene spur lines, access roads and a collector dam of 12 ML. Further development in 2007 and 2008 will be the conversion of the initial 12 production bores to reticulated power, construction of collector pipelines to the collector dam, provision of a pumping station and installation of a telemetry system to relay operating information to a central control/monitor point. MOUNT WELD RARE EARTHS PROJECT - MINING CONTRACT
Mining - Infrastructure (Roads, Airstrips, Culverts, Retaining walls) project In The Laverton Council Area of Mining Contract - Opencut type. Work comprises the development of an initial pit 150 metres wide x 300 metres long x 65 metres deep, comprising 35 metres of overburden and 30 metres of ore zone. The total mining quantity of ore and waste is 2,890,800 BCM. Of this, 541,256 tonnes of high grade ore (318,230 BCM) is scheduled to be crushed and stockpiled at the site. Optional work that can be included in the contract include the construction of 8.8 km of haul roads to the site. Also the supply and operation of a comminution circuit, which may comprise a jaw crusher or potentially a trommel screen that is to produce 100%<100 mm HG CZ 15% moisture content ore product for stockpiling on load out stockpiles at a minimum annual rate of 137,000 wet tpa. PILBARA IRON ORE & INFRASTRUCTURE PROJECT - PORT HEDLAND PORT FACILITIES
Currently at the Construction stage In Port Hedland is a project estimated to be $ 689700000. This project Port facilities comprise a stockyard at 2.5 Mt capacity. Materials handling facility comprising a Train unloader, 22 Conveyors and transfer points, Rescreening plant , two Stackers (8000 tph each), a Reclaimer (10,000 tph), two 300,000 tonne stock piles and a bulk stockpile area. The Materials handling facility will use a rotary car dumping cell to simultaneously tip two ore carriages. Iron ore from each wagon will be dumped into individual surge hoppers and then onto conveyors located at the base of the structure which will deliver the ore through an upward sloping tunnel to the nearby stockpiling area. In order to house the the Train Loader a 22 metre high concrete vault will be constructed to allow ore carriages to be tipped in an efficient manner. Extensive excavation work will be required because approxiamtely 18 metres is below existing ground surface. An associated ramp and conveyor system will be constructed. During excavation construction a significant ammount of dewatering will be required. Port development will include a proposed 750m long single wharf, a Shiploader (10,000 tph), 3.3 million cubic metres of dredging with ongoing maintenance dredging, shipping berth to allow for two 250,000 DWT vessels to be berthed. One berth includes wharf and shiploader. The other includes a berth only. PROSPERO/TALPINOS PROJECT - NICKEL RESOURCE
A project in the WA Within Leonora. Total Resource estimate is 1,330,000 tonnes @ 5.95% for 79,200 Ni. This comprises measured resources of 416,000 tonnes @ 6.39% for 26,600 tonnes of Ni, Indicated resources of 470,000 tonnes @ 6.42% for 30,200 tonnes of Ni and Inferred resources of 445,000 tonnes @ 5.03% for 22,400 tonnes of Ni. Talpinos has a resource estimate of 142,000 tonnes @ 7.4% for 10,500 Ni. Feasibility study on the development of the deposit includes geotechnical drilling, hydrogeological investigations, infill drilling to upgrade the resource estimate to a reserve. Mine development will include box cut excavation and associated waste dump, laydown area and decline development. A new haul road and service corridor linking the development to the exisiting Cosmo mine and concentrator will be constructed. FIMISTON GOLD MINE OPERATIONS EXTENSION STAGE 3
Gold Mine Expansion project at Goldfields Highway Via, Kalgoorlie, WA 6430 In The Council Area Of Kalgoorlie-Boulder of Private. Development will comprise the expansion of the open pit, waste rock dumps and Tailings Storage Facility (TSF). The open pit expansion known as the Golden Pike Cutback will be widened and deepened to approx 670 metres and therby extending the life of the mine until 2017. The Golden Pike Cutback is estimated to hold 2 million ounces of gold. There a number of options for tailings disposal. Option preferred is to heighten the level of the two existing TSF from 30 metres to 40 metres. Other options include recommissioning the Kaltails TSF or constructing Fiminsto 3 TSF. This would cover an area of 150 hectares and would comprise associated infrastructure such as roads and recant ponds. IRON ORE RAPID GROWTH PROJECT 3 - PORT INFRASTRUCTURE
At, Finucane Island, WA 6721 Has Iron Ore Rapid Growth Project 3 - Port Infrastructure currently at Construction stage. Development comprises construction a new single stockyard row in area S, the Eastern Yard including a new stacker and new reclaimer. Constructing a new dedicated Return Screened Fines stockpile adjacent to Car Dumper 4 including new stacker and new reclaimer. Joining the existing Berths C & D together to allow existing shiploaders SLO3 and SLO4 to access either berth. Modifications to the long travel of shiploaders SLO3 and SLO4 so they can travel and shipload on Berth C and D. Upgrading and rebuilding the existing Berth C to accommodate shiploader SLO4 and 250,000 DWT vessels, modify the exisitng control system to suit the new operating regime, improve dust control measures, upgrade electrical infrastructure to suit the proposed development, upgrade the exisiting general infrastructure including upgrading a warhouse building , upgrading roads and constructing a new water recovery plant. The existing existing environmental berm will be extend to provide a visual buffer to the town of Port Hedland on the other side of the harbour from the new eastern stockyard. Construction of temporary lay down areas and buildings for the contractors and temporary construction offices for BHP and EPCM staff. Port Expansion Phase B New project In The City Of Karratha Council Area. Expansion of port capacity from 116 Mtpa to 140 Mtpa of iron ore. A proposal to expand to 120 Mtpa is before State Government authorities at present but does not involve any new construction, only utilising existing infrastructure at Parker Point. Expansion to 140 Mtpa will involve significant new construction work. Development options include upgrading the Parker Point and East Intercourse Island operations and the development of a new greenfields site. WORSLEY ALUMINA EXPANSION EFFICIENCY & GROWTH PROJECT
Mining - Infrastructure (Conveyors, Stackers, Reclaimers, Materials handling) project In The Collie Council Area of Mine Expansion/Refinery - Upgrade type. Development comprises two parts. Expansion of the existing bauxite mining activities and an upgrade of the refinery. Mining will expand into the Saddleback, Marradong, Hotham North, East Quindanning, Morgans, Hotham North Extension, Central and Brookton mining envelopes. Throughput will expand to 16.5 Mtpa. The expansion of mining activities will involve the addition of three new primary crushers and a new crushed ore stockpile will be needed next to the existing secondary crusher to provide extra surge material to feed the overland bauxite conveyor. Additional conveyors include a 34 km extension from the Hotham North mining envelope which will cross both the Albany Highway and the Wandering-North Bannister road, a 16 Km spur from the south east of the Central mining envelope to the Luptons mining envelope and lastly a 28 Km extension from the Central mining envelope to the Brookton mining envelope. Additional bauxite conveyors spurs and haul truck transport may be needed in the future. Refinery expansion will involve an increase in the Bauxite stockpile of 0.5 Mt. At the Milling and Digestion plant an additional mill, an additional desilication tank and eight new slurry heaters will be required. At the Seperation plant, an extension of the residue washing tanks and an expansion of capacity of the causticiser circuit. At the Calcination plant an additional gas fired calciner with bag house with a new hydrate filtration building. PILBARA IRON ORE & INFRASTRUCTURE PROJECT - ORE PREPERATION PLANT
Mining - Infrastructure (Concrete Batching Plants) project at Cloud Break Mine Site, Pilbara area via, Newman, WA 6753 for New. Ore Preparation Plant (OPP) is to comprise a crushing and screening operations. The facilities include a screen house, crushers, stockpiles and trainloader. The operation will process ore transported by a conveyor firstly to a portable crusher and sizer located at the operating face of the Cloud Break mine. When the ROM ore has been crushed and sized it will be transported via a conveyor to the screener and crusher. Ore will be sorted into super value fines, high grade fines, high grade lump and lower grade ore. The first three types of ore will be conveyed to the train loading station and shipped to Port Hedland. The low grade will be stockpiled for the future when the Christmas Creek Beneficiation Plant is constructed. Operating facilities at the plant will comprise a Sample Tester, Plant/Workshop store, Communication Tower, High Voltage Switchyard, Sewage Treatment Plant, Potable Water Plant including a Water Tank, Temporary Diesel Power Station, Control Room, Workshops, Laboratories, Amenities area, OPP Administration area including a Store, Laboratory, Emergency Response Centre and Administration building, Mining administration area, Car Parks, two Fuel Farms and a Vehicle Washdown Facility including a washdown slab and an oil separator and automated facilities. A desliming plant will also be constructed. Future expansion of the OPP will include a Desand Plant and associated infrastructure. The developer is currently designing the Desanding plant. DAMPIER IRON ORE PORT OPERATIONS - PARKER POINT UPGRADE
A project in the WA Within City Of Karratha. A project which is part of Rio Tinto's Growth Program to increase its Pilbara ore handling capacity to 330million tonnes per annum (Mtpa). Upgrade of its Parker Point facility at Dampier Port by 5Mtpa to give an overall 230Mtpa capacity. To include 2 new conyeyors including transfer stations with shuttle heads as well as 2 new surge bins with hydraulically driven belt feeders. During a pause to change a ship's hatch, fine ore to be continuously fed by an existing conveyor to a surge bin & then loaded rapidly afterwards.
